Holiday Princessing Thread - who’s in?

Anyone up for a summer holiday princess thread? (Apologies if there’s already one, I did have a look and couldn’t see any)

I’m on countdown to holiday in the South of France at the end of July, and have never been so out of shape and lacking in style in my life, so desperately need to get on it. Really don’t want to be the one hiding under a towel at the pool/beach AGAIN!

I’m 45, have 1.5 stone to lose, and want to cut down the alcohol, sugar and coffee, as also want my skin to look better (suffer from regular spots, as well as peri menopausal dryness and redness - yay!)
Other stuff to do: take vitamins/cod liver oil every day / apply lash serum every day.

I began exercise yesterday, with 30 Day Shred session (always worked for me in the past) and dog walk. Today have done a 1 hour PT session.

Anyone else want to begin now, and have a bit of support?

I want to join - 2w in Greece end of July and way too much weight to lose. I'll start 30dshred on Monday (travelling before and can't fit it in) and on OMAD. Taking my d vitamine and cleanse but will need to look into good vitamin complex to add.

Just thinking about this, I already have routines which are now habits. I don’t want to add too much as I won’t do it. I’ll pick two things.

  1. I’ll rub Flexitol on my feet nightly so flip flops don’t dry them out.
  2. I already exfoliate in the shower, but I’ll moisturise my arms and legs more.

I'm in... going away to Spain in July. Haven't been abroad for years and don't want to go not looking my best. I will enjoy myself so much more if I look good. I have loads of nice clothes that I currently don't fit into so am dieting. Will exercise once kids go back to school next week.

I’ll join too. I have 1.5 stone (or even 2!) and would like to lose it before going to the south of France in August. Whereabouts are you going? We’re staying in Antibes and Menton.

I have been watching what I eat but will be a bit more strict. I will also start tracking my steps to make sure I’m getting at least 10k steps in. I’m going to start doing a YouTube workout daily as well and continue going swimming a couple times a week

Welcome all!
@LeatherSkirt82 and @Wishona - did you achieve your goals for yesterday?

I started the day full of good intentions and resolve - and crashed and burned by evening!! Did 1 hour PT session, then 1.5 hours archery session, so was feeling great, but then met up with a friend I hadn’t seen for ages and had a cocktail and some chips. Then got home and had pasta bake and some of DD’s Easter egg 🙈
Argh, evenings are always the worst for mindless eating!

@twinklelight i’m also going to Antibes!
Like @Comedycook I really won’t enjoy myself if I don’t feel good about myself. Also have so many clothes in the wardrobe I can’t wear. Have everything from a size 4 to a 12 in there. Being bigger doesn’t suit me at all, as I’m only 5ft 2.
@lisam78 we can do it!

I did too - one meal in the evening with the family - took my Vit D, collagen and cleanse, ordered vitamin complex and bought 30dshred from Amazon Prime.

I’m in.
Need to lose 10kg in total. Tone up A LOT.
Vitamins , more water, more sleep, more exercise.
Eyelash serum and daily skincare.
I’m good at moisturising my arms and legs but does anything help the creeping crepey look?

I'm joining.
Currently 26 weeks pregnant, so I can't really lose weight, but I am planning to incorporate fresh smoothies in my diet, so I can have glowy skin and no bloating (or at least reduce it). I never had problem with exercising, been doing it for years and keeping my routine while pregnant, but I like sweets and crisps too much.

Already have decent skincare, so I will continue using it to keep skin hydrated and clear (dumping chocolate would help, wouldn't it), will put more attention to exfoliating and moisturising arms and legs. Also, regular pedicures, so I won't be in panic that I have cracked heels for sandals season. I am struggling a bit with legs hair removal at this stage, so this will be fun.

Oh, and I want to use bronzing lotion regularly, as I don't like having pale legs.

I’ve done my two targets again.
Im going to add in a 3rd, to use up all my moisturisers eg advent calendar ones. Emma Hardie face cream has just gone on my stomach! (I have stuff I want to use on my face)

Yesterday I only managed to do 15 minutes cardio and then 15 minutes stretching. I had whopping cough vaccine and I think this contributed to me feeling less energetic and my arm hurts.
Other than this, skincare done and gentle exfoliation while in the shower.
Diet not great, I finished chocolate eggs yesterday- no more sweets in the house, and not intending to buy anymore! Husband is dieting too.

Morning all! Happy Friday!
Have reached all skincare/vitamins targets over the last few days.
Did 1 hour PT session yesterday, plus 40 min walk. The exercise is actually starting to feel good, as opposed to pure torture! 👍
Going for a run later.
Had dinner at a friends house last night, so did have a glass of wine, but only one, and a small dessert.
Have had pasta 3 days in a row, so goal for end of the week is to be lower in carbs, and eat more vegetables.

Yesterday was pretty good - did the Shred and a 1 hour walk / no sugar, coffee or carbs, but did have a small G&T

Anyone else find weekends so much harder, with the temptations of either going out and eating and drinking loads, or the same at home? Loads of Easter chocolate left in our fridge too 😬

I did mine again
I now have moisture limbs, flexitol feet, use up creams, take a vitamin.

I might add everyday tan as I hate doing that but I feel better in shorts with browner legs-it is still freezing though!

@Wishona good point re using up moisturisers and creams - I have a massive bag of ‘summer body’ type stuff at the bottom of my wardrobe, gathering dust.
The one product I did use quite a lot last summer and can recommend for everyday tanning, is the St Tropez in shower one - takes no time at all (I think 1-2 min), then wash off 👍

@tigerbear oh I’ve not tried that. I do have St Tropez every day tanner and the normal one, as it’s a good colour on me. Did you just use it on legs, or everywhere?

Have a brace due off in June and will have teeth whitening at the same time. Brace is so sore right now it'll reduce snacking too!































































Aiming for 1 ruun and 1 pilates a week (realistic), using my lumea fortnightly (its definitely working!) and starting regular moisturising/gradual tanner.

I'll join, I have 3 weeks til we go on holiday to Manchester, for cricket and a family visit. We've been skint for years and I can now throw some money at.
