Max, on a visit to designers in Eindhoven wearing a coat I can’t get on board with. Sorry Max.

Not a fan of Max's coat or CPV's coral suit.

I am not sure this leather jacket of Leti's really works with the dress? Somehow it looks wrong to me. Maybe also too many different shades of red going on?

Stephanie looks as if she's getting close to end of her pregnancy, though I think they said April? She looks really young in her face here, I thought, and pretty.

I don't think that's a good look for Max - that coat is not improved by mustard loon pants.

Wth is going on with her trousers, too? They look really odd with her shoes being completely hidden like that.

I'm not keen on Max's Eindhoven visit outfit, and usually I love her flamboyant choices. But the coat looks more like Granny's embroidered dressing gown, and those trousers surely belong to Coco the Clown. 🤡 🤡 🤡

I actually like Max's dressing gown coat, but it would have looked better with a less garish pair of trousers.

I like CPV's lilac dress with puffed sleeves.

If anyone could rock that embroidered coat it would be Max but the mustard trousers and jumper are too much even for her.

They do however match the chair in the background so maybe it was intended as a cunning camouflage move?

Thats too max, even for Max. It’s definitely wearing her rather than the other way round. I don’t like Leti’s outfit there either, it’s very harsh looking. I do love the softness of the colours and fabrics of Steph’s maternity outfit there, she looks beautiful. And ready to pop. 🙂

I think the trousers OR the coat would be fine and very Max buy it’s a really bizarre combination.

She's worn another Ronald MacDonald outfit recently, I think - possibly involving those same trousers. Or was it Mathilde?

Maybe Natan had a job lot of bright mustard fabric.

It was Mathilda who went full-on Ronald McDonald a while back.

Those trousers are hideous. Too thick, too mustardy (and I love mustard when it’s done right), too wide, too long. Ugh.

The coat would have been fine without the ridiculous trousers.

She's not very short, she's 5ft6, so not short for her generation.

She is very slim though and wears flat or low shoes.

I think Tim is pretty tall.

(The trousers may also have been okay had they been paired with something better. However with this ensemble they look utterly ridiculous...we’ve found an outfit that Max couldn’t make work!! )

The Netherlands have announced a state visit to Belgium In June, so Mathilde and Max will get to make public appearances together (they have a great history of co-ordinating outfits, so could be great) and, if we are lucky their respective oldest daughters and heirs might also attend…?

Not even Max can pull that one off. It looks like she has no feet and is hovering an inch above the ground! I really don't think a knee-length coat and wide-legged trousers works. Kate's worn that silhouette a few times too and it doesn't look quite right.

I agree, it’s clumsy looking and also adds bulk.

Oh no, Max! Like the coat very much, but the trousers missing feet looks so weird and yes, the mustard colour is in serious Ronald McDonald territory.

She looks good there. The inevitable Delphine was also in attendance, wearing some funky ankle boots. There seemed to be an element of smiling through gritted teeth at the event!

I think this might be the same mustard jumpsuit worn last year at an event in Davos. It looks completely different without the embroidered coat.

I don't mind the mustard as such - the trousers are fine. But with that coat...it's just not good. I think she's worn them a few times IIRC.

Max actually looks good in the mustard, but maybe better with a navy or bottle green coat?
(the more green coats the merrier!)
