I agree she looks great in a tiara so I am sure she will rock the crown. She also does a good job of evening/white tie gowns.

I think it helps that for the big formal occasions, everyone dresses up so the royals look like they fit in. Whereas on their daytime visits, they have to tread a fine line of being formal and appropriate, and the people around them often don’t, so they stand out a lot more. I never see anyone in real life wearing those coat dress things they often go for, so they just look different. People dress a lot more casually these days and the Royals don’t so they do stand out and risk looking a bit stuffy. It’s a tough one because they do have to look like they’re treating the visits with respect and making the effort; but it can look a bit jarring.

Fans of Natan! Mathilde looks good, I quite like the draping which breaks up the silhouette.
Max in camel sounds contradictory, as she's such a lover of colour, but I actually like this outfit. The shade is right, and the cloak thing adds a bit of drama. Very chic.

Bit too frilly for my tastes from Mathilde, although the colour is pretty and suits her, I think. Max looks great, and I do like the cape thing although how it stays on I don’t know - I’d drop it on the floor in seconds!

I'm sure Max has borrowed that dress from Kate - it's very similar. 😀

I'm not keen on the cape even though I normally love them - the pale lining is a bit odd and, even on Max, it looks a bit too long.

@KillingMeDeftly I think your post on the last thread was missed (sorry, I can't work out how to quote on a different thread) but it's something I've often wondered about.

I think CPV and Daniel have very disctinctive and recognisable styles when on royal duties, but wonder if they literally let their hair down and switch to contacts when off duty so that they have an element of anonymity when out with their family. I bet they'd be almost unrecognisable.

I'm very pleased with the Camilla crown decision. I painted some coronation graphics for my job and then couldn't use the crown image I painted until they made their decision!

I like the colours Leti is wearing there, but I don't think those leather trousers are a great shape. I love CPV's strappy shoes, but deplore everything about that lilac outfit.
