I recall one thing about the Amish style cover up cotton dresses Laura Ashley produced copied by Dorothy Perkins etc. The summer of '76 they were blissful to wear in the heatwave. You were protected from the searing heat and still looked good with a large woven hat and sandals.

I see that CPV and Daniel are on an official visit to Australia. The cream skirt suit is okay but I don't think the length of the skirt is flattering. You can't see it very well but she does have a lovely dark pink manicure. The black and white dress with bold earrings works well I think.

Something about the length of the suit and the white shoes looks a bit frumpy. I saw a lovely pic of her in more casual clothes talking to some firefighters.

Those white shoes CPV is wearing look excruciatingly uncomfortable, not to mention dated, and I so wish that she would do something new with her hair.
Is the chap with the twigs showing her how to be a water diviner I wonder?

Grief, I nearly forgot to deduct a billion points for the white heels. They are my absolute worst shoes, and I was dismayed when Kate started wearing them a year or two ago. They always look so cheap (even if they're not).

It's a definite no for the excruciatingly uncomfortable looking white stilettos. Not stylish at all. I'm not keen on the white suit, and I agree with @AdaColeman about her hair. She has lovely hair, but always puts it in that tight bun.
The black and white dress is quite nice and suits her better.

I’m definitely so over shoes that look like foot torture devices. They just aren’t a good look.

I think that tight bun CPV is so dedicated to is quite ageing for her. She isn't conventionally pretty, but I think she would look good with a short style that softly framed her face, with something like triangular layers to add a bit of texture. She definitely needs a hair intervention!

I wonder whether for CPV having her hair in a bun is her work 'uniform' and means that she is less likely to be recognised if she goes out with her hair down.

I agree though that it's ageing. And those white stilettos are hideous.
