Flannels advent calendar opening thread 2022

Thread for anyone who has the Flannels 2022 advent calendar and would like to discuss contents.

In line with the waifs and strays thread I suggest no earlier than 7am for discussing that days contents? Also if we can try to minimise naming the contents still to come as I've tried to forget!

I'm hoping someone will join me, think a few of us got this one as a total bargain

Day 1 - AB The Cream 😴 Drawer of Disappointment for me, I've had this so many times and it makes my face feel dry yet also greasy. I can't relate to all the bloggers gushing over how rich and moisturising it is.

Oh well, gets it out the way!

I’ve never used it before, may gift it to older DS. He likes a bit of skincare.

Yeah not delighted had it in last years space nk. Maybe I'm using it wrong ? Know what you mean about dry / greasy as if it sits on surface

I echo this, I've used AB and found it sticky, wasn't a fan

I really like it - my make-up goes on beautifully over it. Had the Rich Cream before though, but have high hopes for this one too. I know it's not generally well loved and I wouldn't buy at full price, but this is a good day 1 drawer for me!

I haven't tried it before either and also liking it

It's a little dull that all the drawers are in order on the calendar....searching for the right number is part of the fun! But the box will be good for make-up storage afterwards, I think (if I can find somewhere to pout it!).

I'm relatively happy with the AB... had it before and like it well enough. Would never pay the big bucks for it though, obviously.

I’ve been very cheeky and swapped todays cream for something else I was after in the calendar earlier - so have to wait to try it out though now not so upset I’m having to wait due to mixed responses!! (I won’t say what I switched it with!) ! I agree it’s a bit boring the numbers being in order...

Not sure about the colour of this, but I’m not going to open it yet to try. It’s going on my stash.

It's actually a bit of a better colour 'on' than it looks in the tube. Less beige. Think it might be a bit drying, though.

@QueefofSheena I'm unsure too, it's maybe a bit peachy for me. I'm going to try it over the weekend I think, will report back. (Patrick Ta lip creme in She's Independent). It's a brand I've never tried so I'm looking forward to giving it a go.

I actually really like the lip gloss but I love those kind of shades on me! Usually wear Matt though instead of a gloss.

I hate it. It's brown, I don't even know anyone that uses brown lipstick to palm it off on. Even if it was a good colour for me, it wouldn't be sticking around, it makes my lips look super wrinkly

I put on far too much as thought it was a gloss and it looked awful , wiped most of it off and it was really nice peachy nude that stayed on all day , try using a tiny tiny bit

It’s got good reviews but I’m going to save the lipcreme for a bit as have a couple new nudes at the mo. Looking forward to trying todays product

I'm always a bit sceptical about 111 Skin just because of the massive price tag - is it really that good? I've had a couple of their products before and thought they were nice but nothing amazing. I like an exfoliating product though so will happily give this a go.
