Flannels advent calendar opening thread 2022

Thread for anyone who has the Flannels 2022 advent calendar and would like to discuss contents.

In line with the waifs and strays thread I suggest no earlier than 7am for discussing that days contents? Also if we can try to minimise naming the contents still to come as I've tried to forget!

I'm hoping someone will join me, think a few of us got this one as a total bargain

I was happy with yesterdays. I do wear false lashes when I go “out out” but I am terrible for leaving the posh ones I have been bought as a gift in the drawer and using the £1 primark double layer ones instead.
I am hoping for some colour today, a blush would be nice. I do need some fixing spray and eyebrow setting gel so that would be welcome!

I was hoping for some colour today too, a sparkly eyeshadow or something for my Christmas party tonight. But got eye serums in both my calendars which is slightly less exciting (if useful I guess)

I really like the Natasha Deanna sparkly eyeshadow that came a bit earlier in the calendar. Would never have bought those colours and the pigment is great. The eye serum will be useful in the morning I guess! ;) First year of a beauty calendar and I think I'm definitely a convert! I'm going to miss it.

I didn't get the eye serum ! I got another Don King hair cream but the note said eye serum so someone in the packing team has not been concentrating! I might email someone ...

Oh no @diamondsandrose definitely email about it because the eye serum is higher value than the hair stuff too, so you've missed out there.

@H3lloMums Haha well there is that! I expect it'll wipe away the hangover... I do really like the ND palette, I just remember when I looked at the contents list there were two things in particular I was hoping to get before my party and we haven't got them yet. I guess I could just open the drawers today but that spoils it.

Yes it's annoying , I guessed that the eye serum would be expensive. I'll try and find a customer service email address.
The lashes look lovely by the way , they are v good quality. ( ex makeup artist )
If you are scared of them cut them in half or even a third and just use the outer side as a half lash , less overwhelming!

I'm scared stiff of those lashes they look so OTT, although I would like to try some fake lashes, have several in my stash box but never go out so never practice. Maybe I'll try it in the morning when I'm going busking! 😁.

A bit meh about eye serum as don't feel it doesn't anything & always scared of using too much which apparently can cause big problems?

Really liked the mini ND palette so ordered the mini golden green one & awaiting its arrival!

Hmmm, bit of a dull choice for the weekend before Xmas. Wish they’d just put this in with the matching item earlier in the calendar. Oh well, I know there’s still some good stuff to come in the final stretch!

@doublecleansed agreed! I always think it's a cop-out to put matching items in separate boxes anyway but a body lotion for two Saturdays before Christmas... I am absolutely not moaning about the contents because they're great (and also know there's some good stuff to come), but I do think a little more thought could have gone into the timings. We need self-care stuff for after Christmas, at the moment I need all the glam stuff for nights out! Maybe that's just me though

Agree, it was nice to get the matching cream but also bit meh. Maybe would have been better in same box or on consecutive days.

Excited to try today's but agree with Kimmyschmitt on timings.... Sparkly eyeshadow on a Friday or Saturday and the moisturiser on a Sunday would make so much more sense!

I’ve opened a couple of extras 😳and I can’t remember which one was for today. Really pleased with both though. I’ve justified it by telling myself I’ll be too busy on 24th/25th 😈

Perfume today! I can barely smell this on me…but have heard that’s a “thing” with Molecules scents - that other people smell them more than you (I want to smell my own perfume though!). Anyone else?

Me too on the perfume. I am going to experiment with spraying it on in varying quantities and seeing if DP or the kids comment! As also would like to know what I might smell like

Me three... Someone commented on the LiB thread that they'd got this in Flannels and couldn't smell it but I have Molecule 05 and like it so I was sceptical about their review. This is Molecule 04 for anyone following the thread who doesn't have the calendar. But nope, can smell alcohol and something vaguely masculine when it's first sprayed but almost no scent after 5 minutes. Potentially disappointing but will also ask DP his opinion when he gets in. Will also spray it on him, if it's nicer on him he can have it.

I have molecule 01 which I love but I can only smell it off clothes where it lasts for days
So maybe this is the same
Try it on a scarf / coat then go back later and sniff

I can smell it really well? It sooo strange how some people can smell it and some can't. It smells really fresh and light.

I can't smell it at all, this is the strangest 'perfume' ever

I wear 01 and can only smell it on clothes and when I first spray it. It’s strange as DH can’t smell it but a colleague who loves it knows if I’ve been in a room sometime before. It seems to be 50/50 on those who can smell it on me and those who can’t. 04 is supposed to be a fresher scent, I haven’t tried it yet.

I can’t smell it either. What a let down. Can’t even pass it on as it’s such a disappointment.
