Flannels advent calendar opening thread 2022

Thread for anyone who has the Flannels 2022 advent calendar and would like to discuss contents.

In line with the waifs and strays thread I suggest no earlier than 7am for discussing that days contents? Also if we can try to minimise naming the contents still to come as I've tried to forget!

I'm hoping someone will join me, think a few of us got this one as a total bargain

@Wagsandclaws Oh no that's what I was afraid of! 😂 I'm so glad it's good but also it's sooo pricey I probably can't justify a repurchase. But yes, maybe in the sale.

Thanks @Wagsandclaws that’s really interesting. I use tret from Dermetica but I have the odd break in my subscription where I need to catch up and finish what I have. Next time I pause it I’ll give this a go and see how it suits me.

I'm delighted with today’s, it’s not the sort of thing I’d buy myself despite wanting one.

not 40 yet but some of their boxes are great. I think it may still be available and totally worth it if you want the full size serum. You can then cancel or pause your subscription if you don’t want to continue.

Yes I'll give it a go as I'm already subscribed to the Liberty one so what's another subscription between friends?

I'd say within a week people where asking me about my skin and I noticed pretty quickly. It's just so, so good I can't recommend it highly enough. I use the day serum in the morning ( which is slightly less sticky ) and this one at night but I'd be happy to use them at both times of the day as it absorbs pretty quickly. Enjoy using it, I don't think it takes log. At all to see results.

Attached pic of me on a night out last week, yes I've got makeup on obvs ( I'm 51 next month ) but it's given me a glow that I found harder to achieve without it. I'd been using it for a couple of weeks here.

I’ve opened the final drawer as tomorrow will just be so busy. No spoilers but I’m so happy that I got this calendar. At full price it would have been good value, but with the reduction it’s been absolutely amazing. Thanks for the thread lovelies, it’s been great.

Amazing calendar and I’ve enjoyed this thread too so nice to be introduced to new and proper full sized items. I opened 25th ages ago but I’m still keeping my swap item in there till the morning for the illusion of opening a box on Xmas morning 😂 that toyl box looks so good, very tempted now for this magic serum. Can you use retinol and this serum at same time?, I’m a bit scared of it and haven’t started with retinol yet. 🤔 as skin very sensitive and then breaks out.

I had a quick Google as I've given up retinol in place of this and I do think it counts as an active.

Whilst it looks like you can't layer them together I think you could use the EGF in the morning and then your usual retinol in the evening.

The has been my favourite beauty calendar that I have had, so many lovely things. The serum in the silver bottle and the PM pallet have been my favourites.

I've already opened tomorrow's too (as had figured out what it was). Very pleased with the calendar overall - though have forgotten half of what was in it now, so need to go back and look! I wasn't going to get an advent this year - but ended up getting this and the Bare Minerals (for the bargain £23 price) when they were on offer, and both have been great - esp this one.

Has anyone received the toyl box? I'm getting worried I'll get the January box as it still hasn't been sent.

I'm really loving the EGF serum but I've missed the boat on the TOYL box. Has anyone tried the Inkey List EGF and vit C serum? Is it in any way comparable? At £15 it's a lot more affordable.

I haven’t received my TOYL box yet either. I haven’t tried the serum yet as I’ve been using up some Beauty Pie Jeju serum that I’ve really liked. I got it via the trial period and don’t really want to take out a membership as there’s not much else I’d buy.

Anyone else just get a call or email from TOYL? They wanted to know if I wanted the December box or the Jan one to be sent our tomorrow.

Yes me, the lady herself ( I recognised her voice from the you tube video ) phoned to ask if I wanted the jan or Dec box?

I said that I wanted the Dec box and she said it would be sent soon.

Like you all I've been contacted and it makes me wonder given that I ordered the Dec box for sure if they've run out due to the value of the egf serum?

@KimmySchmitt I'm not sure if other EGF serums are any good, I've heard from reviews that the egf ingredient is much lower in the lower price ones. Could be wrong though.

Let me know when you get your toyl boxes as I'm waiting for mine too.

Also had a message about the box which I thought was weird. Off to respond to the email.

My box is with the courier, I’ll update when I get it. I like the look of January too now.
