Flannels advent calendar opening thread 2022

Thread for anyone who has the Flannels 2022 advent calendar and would like to discuss contents.

In line with the waifs and strays thread I suggest no earlier than 7am for discussing that days contents? Also if we can try to minimise naming the contents still to come as I've tried to forget!

I'm hoping someone will join me, think a few of us got this one as a total bargain

I bought the Floral Street sample pack earlier in the year because I was curious, but I don't love it. Wouldn't bother repurchasing any of them. They're quite good for sticking in your makeup bag if you're going away for a night or two though, saves taking a proper bottle of perfume.

I haven't tried everything yet but I'm really liking the ND palette. It's very wearable.

yes I love today's - had one of these previously. it's quite an unusual, but really flattering shade

Today is a Nars lip pencil in Dolce Vita. I have one of these (same shade) unopened from last year's JL calendar 😬 It is a nice pencil though, I've had one before in a different shade.

I only just opened mine as had a mad day , it looks quite bright but maybe different in the daylight
Have a Xmas day out tomorrow so may wear it then . Loving the Sarah Chapman serum in mornings it seems to wake up my face

I find the Sarah chapman serum very similar to beauty pie Japan fusion

Size of today’s is a bit measly, but I have wanted to try this product for a while, so it’s a good chance to see if I like it before spending money on a full size.

@doublecleansed I thought the same, a full size 250ml is less than £20 so 50ml seems a bit stingy. Although I see they actually sell the 50ml for a tenner! Ah well, it'll be good for travel. (Sam McKnight dry shampoo - if I don't name the products I lose track!)

Excited to try this retinol ! Have not googled but I know it's expensive !

Mine will have to wait. I’m getting tret from Dermetica at the moment but I was happy to see this

I bought this as a black friday deal but have been so impressed so far

I also think this has been a really good deal. I am another who had no intention of getting it but was swayed by black Friday.
That said, I'm a bit scared of retinol. I have sensitive eczema prone skin, though it seems much better of late.
I don't get today's though. Firstly because i am not sure it's so easy to pull off the shiny highlighter look at 46 as at 16, and secondly as it feels quite sticky to apply.... Though I could be doing it all wrong

Just found this thread. I am loving the goodies so far, apart from the dry shampoo- useful but a bit of a let down.
I think I will repurchase the morning serum, it makes such a difference to my skin. I can see the change!
I was also very pleased with the pallet and then Nars lip pencil, I wore that Saturday Night.

I wore the nars lip pencil in Saturday night too !!
I'm 47 and like the highlighter it's more glowy than glittery

Wasn't Larry king a boxing promoter with funny hair ?!!

Boxing promoter with the hair was Don King. The other, more famous, Larry King was an American TV/radio interviewer - sort of the US version of David Frost. I also find the hairdresser with the same name a bit weird!

Oh I don't like to moan as it was excellent value but that's been a run of rubbish days for me. I'll reserve judgement on the Larry King thing but I don't really use products to style my hair, it doesn't need to be tamed and if I tried to add shine it would likely go greasy. Today's is a let down too. I've never been able to use lashes so actually when I saw they were in this calendar I was looking forward to trying them again, but no. They don't come with adhesive. What use is that?

Yeah I was hoping for something good today to cheer me up after a rubbish night’s sleep in the freezing cold. False lashes are not what I was hoping for. I think the only time I’ve worn them is when I accidentally cut all my eyelashes off with a faulty eyelash curler the day before my friend’s wedding 😬

I have never tried false lashes! I am not sure that these will change that tbh 😂. More likely to end up with teen daughter

Ooh just seen the thread - dh bought me this -as I wasn't going to bother this year despite usually having several! Think for £120 odd he paid it's been really good.

I've been fairly pleased so far. Not here for Christmas so took the head staggers & opened 25 yesterday.

Dd wasn't pleased they were all in order so took it upon herself to mix them all up!

I'm not keen on anything hair apart from the davines milk spray stuff I got in one a year or 2 ago. Love it now.

I don’t usually wear false lashes but I’m definitely going to give them a try. I like the drawers being in date order but the temptation to open the rest is strong!

@Talisin am lolling at my Don king blunder !! But yes Larry kind also famous and clearly not for haircare it's like calling an expensive shampoo range Lorraine Kelly 😂😂

I just used the Don King 😜 hair stuff on damp hair then blow dried it's bloody amazing !! Hair is full and bouncy
