Flannels advent calendar opening thread 2022

Thread for anyone who has the Flannels 2022 advent calendar and would like to discuss contents.

In line with the waifs and strays thread I suggest no earlier than 7am for discussing that days contents? Also if we can try to minimise naming the contents still to come as I've tried to forget!

I'm hoping someone will join me, think a few of us got this one as a total bargain

I love the candle. I can’t wait to start the serum but I’ve got one to finish first. I’m planning on taking a pic before I start to see what difference it makes.

I’m thinking about keeping this subscription for a while, I like the look of some of the things in the next one. I’ve also signed up for Liberty beauty drop so I can get the advent calendar, but I’ll be keeping an eye out for the contents in Flannels AC if they do one. This one has been my favourite.

I like that you can pause the subscription if you're not keen on the next month's products. Really happy with the December box but paused Jan as I don't use micellar water and have a massive stash of hair care products to work through!

Just got a notification my TOYL box is with the courier for delivery tonight. Inevitably this will be in the middle of my yoga session but still, yay!

Just got it - hadn’t started the yoga but was one leg into my leggings when the bell went, I sort of hobbled to the door with the other leg hanging loose under my (thankfully very long) dressing gown. Looking forward to starting this wonder serum in about a week and a half when my current one runs out.

@QueefofSheena I usually get the Liberty one but flannels has been hands down the best beauty advent calendar I've ever had.

I also bought the John Lewis ones as that had some lovely products in as well.

Gah, I thought it was a one off box I'd ordered with TOYL - will have to try to cancel. Still waiting for the December box!

@Wagsandclaws I’ll probably end up with both 😬 We used the bag that Flannels came in when we had a few nights away after Christmas. That was a good bonus!

For those with a TOYL sub - don’t forget to check the Feb box and email to pause/cancel if you don’t want it, by 6pm tomorrow. It’s nice enough but not worth the money for me so I paused. I think I’ll give it one more month and if I don’t want the March box I’ll cancel completely.

Thanks @Talisin - I'm ordering the TOYL sub now as she can still send out the Dec one so just wanted to check the serum would last a while! Debating on whether to have Feb now too or pause, I agree it's nice but maybe not wow with products I already have similar - so will also pause! Excited now!

I think the serum lasts about 6-8 weeks for me as I use it on my neck and décolleté too.

I've just messaged to pause my sub indefinitely until there is a better month as I'm a bit of a beauty junkie and have loads to use up.

@QueefofSheena I use mine twice a day and in conjunction with retinol as it's very soothing I find. I googled it and apparently it's fine to use with retinol.

Another tip I read for when you run out of the serum is that you can order the body serum and use it on your face as it's less expensive and there is more of it.

There is only one different ingredient in the body serum and that is to make sure that it spreads on your body so it's more to do with how the product is delivered into your skin iyswim?

Anyway I saw this as a recommendation so I'm going to try it when my serum runs out, just thought it might be a good heads up for you all as the serum didn't last that long for me, twice a day and face, neck and décolleté

Good tip, I'm a bit cautious with sensitivity so prob going to take a while to use it up!

I paused this month too. I like the eye cream but the make up products are wasted on me

@Wagsandclaws amazing tip, thank you! I’ll start using at night too. I wasn’t sure about the retinol, so thanks. I might be imagining it but I’m sure my skin looks better already.

I think I’ll pause the TOYL box this month, I’ve got loads of stuff to use up and can’t really justify it and the Liberty beauty drop too.
