Morning everyone. Dropping into this thread nice and early.

My Beauty Drop is due to arrive tomorrow. Perfect timing as i'm in need of a little pick me up. Hoping for something bath related. A bottle of Susanne Kaufmann or Aromatherapy Associates would pair with my need to hibernate nicely...

@plantingandpotting That sounds lovely. I'd love some make up. I've been with Beauty Drop since the beginning and there hasn't been any makeup yet. A tinted lipbalm or something else that would suit any skin tone would be great. Perfume would be fabulous too.

@Housewife2010 Yes, agreed on both fronts.

Perfume and make up would be a real treat just before party season. If make up then ideally something handbaggable that creates that instant-win feeling...like a lip and cheek tint.

I used my banked cash to buy the calendar and have no regrets. Nothing fired me up this year out of the whole range of calendar offerings, so after testing the Matcha perfume, I opted for Liberty during the £10 off day.

Top tip for when your Beauty Drop box arrives. Open it up and then refold in the opposite direction to get a Liberty print box.

I’d like a nice new moisturiser to try out too, or something hair related. I’ve been so pleasantly surprised by how much I’ve liked in previous boxes that were hair care.
I think makeup is always a bad idea, it is never ever universally usable and I know that nothing is ever guaranteed to suit everyone but makeup is just so personal. Also, as a WoC I’ve felt increasingly frustrated at receiving makeup in other boxes that’s just a straight pass. So just a personal no to makeup from me! I know others have more success with it.

Perfume and mini candle would be my dream! I agree @TheChosenTwo that make up is pointless bar perhaps a mascara. There is nothing universal. I find that advents and GWPs always favour red lipstick or brown/bronze eye stuff that I can’t wear so that’s why I rarely buy them.

Anyone else pondering if they’ll keep going with the beauty drop or not?
Hoping for a great box that will remove my doubts.
As long as the boxes are quite good, it’s okay value for me I think - I mainly buy things I could find cheaper elsewhere, but with some vouchers and the free delivery it works out okay. Would be great value if you wanted to buy Liberty specific items though.
I didn’t really enjoy the last box with the REN tonic - it’s not the type of product I’m looking to explore from Liberty so fingers crossed for this one!

I think I’ll carry on with the beauty drop, I like the boxes on the whole, I’ve tried brands I’ve never even heard of before and ended up buying a couple of things full size/priced because of it.
@LoveLabradors i Always end up with nude lipsticks that would look like death on me, and bronzers that are so pale on me they make me look grey! eye shadows with such weak pigment it doesn’t even show up… I’m okay without the makeup in these things.

@Boppertini I know what you mean about REN. Some of the stuff is nice enough but you can get it pretty much anywhere and it is a staple of beauty boxes from everywhere so doesn't feel special. I've signed up to try stuff I wouldn't have heard of or seen locally.

REN in general doesn’t get along with my skin I had heard so much good things about it and at the end of summer before pandemic I bought some bits and between the strong smell and burning Each time I tried all the bits I have never tried any of it again since and I wouldn’t say I have overly sensitive skin so I’m really hoping for no Ren tomorrow
