October's Beauty Drop box is en route. Time for a new thread! 💄

I found the latest bag quite easy to resist. Find the Olaplex in everything, and doesn't do a lot for me. I did like the tomato candle (in the calendar) but I have an allotment, so it might just be that!

Someone asked about sales - there's an up to 30% off sale on again. I've just bought a little diamond pendant with my £5 birthday voucher and some beauty drop credit. Happy birthday to me! 🥳

It stinks! Definitely advent calendar leftovers, I guess it never actually sold out.

What stinks? I can’t remember Liberty ever saying the calendar had sold out. There was some speculation that it might because it had in previous years. There’s a real sense of entitlement around this.

If the mothers day box really is calendar leftovers you've got to wonder how much packaging went to waste... just a really wasteful exercise. I am not sure why anyone would especially want a Tomato candle - I always think more mainstream scents are nicer to get in a box. It's a no from me!

I don’t think it stinks. This is retail. They have stock and they want to shift it, so it’s been repackaged for Mother’s Day. The fact none of us want to buy it is irrelevant!

I read the "it stinks" comment as just meaning "it's a bit of a rubbish package this time" though?

Yeah, totally up to retailers to package things up how they wish to try and sell them.

The thing with Liberty's is their demographic is people with some money who want to be ‘out there’ but with quality and good service thrown in. If you are going to spend good money on what is, let’s face it, luxury items, you want it to be different, ahead of the curve, special, or at least feel that you have been thought of. If you think that a collection has just been cobbled together from stuff that hasn5 been sold then the shine goes out of it. If there’s no shine why would you pay the premium?

they should do a ‘bargain castoffs’ box or something….you could sell it as being so alternative even the customer base rejected it…..

Haha sorry I meant the candle stinks! I had it in the advent calendar and was not a fan at all. I think it's a really unique fragrance, definitely not one for everyone, so it's disappointing to see it again and more advent leftovers in this box.
