Evening Royal style and beauty fans.
Into the Carolean era, with more bling we hope! Also more state banquets?

For anyone who wants the real deal

I love oversized sunnies, @justasking111, so yours are right up my street!

MotherofPearl · 06/10/2022 22:08

Sadly the real LV ones are not in budget for me!

They hid a multitude of sins this summer I had a black eye at times 🙈🤣

AdaColeman · 06/10/2022 22:09

Mathilde does love a cape, she often channels her inner Zorro!

How nice to see Charlene out and about, and looking a bit better. I like her pink lipstick with the pink strands in her jacket. Oh la la, tres chic!

justasking111 · 06/10/2022 22:12

I never know what to do with my bag, hands when wearing a cape

AdaColeman · 06/10/2022 22:36

@667TheNeighbourOfTheBeast Yes, colour film was developing ( !!! ) rapidly during the 1950s, and by the 1960s although black & white snapshots were still the norm, colour photography was used with increasing frequency particularly for special occasions or exotic outdoor locations.
By the 1970s, with the invention of flash cubes, better processing etc, suddenly the world was in colour! 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈

Kate looks a ringmaster to me in that first pic, I was looking for a top hat!

CliffsofMohair · 07/10/2022 06:59

Yea I don’t love the ringmaster coat.

Eaumyword · 07/10/2022 07:04

Charlene looks like a fashion model in that photo! She looks great.
I also do love big sunnies!

KillingMeDeftly · 07/10/2022 07:41

If it was Wales last week and NI this week then Kate and William should be off to Scotland next week. She'll be getting the tartan coat ready as we speak!

EstellaRijnveld · 07/10/2022 08:26

Ooh I love seeing pics of Kate I’m her literal dressing, she’s so stylish. Mid you being tall, long limbed and lean with beautiful skin and hair helps.

gingercat02 · 07/10/2022 13:19

Everyone commented on Kate's blue coat and the neutrality of the choice. She often wear green on trips to Ireland she has a million green coat dresses from Paddy's Day parades.

I think she has slightly changed her style since becoming PoW, even in the mere weeks post official mourning.
I hope it continues

LadyEloise1 · 07/10/2022 13:28

Wearing a green coat in Ireland is fine but it may not be in certain parts of Northern Ireland.

I'm from Belfast 😀

Oh I love the tartan coat she wore a few times to church at Balmoral, think it was Black Watch tartan, really hoping we see Kate in some Stewart tartan there are many variations. I love tartan, it never goes out of style it can be punky looking Vivienne Westwood or Country Casuals/House of Bruar country set , so versatile.

667TheNeighbourOfTheBeast · 07/10/2022 13:40

It was very similar to this one, is this a dress or a coat ?

She'll be frantically thumbing through the latest House of Bruar catalogue.

MotherofPearl · 07/10/2022 15:08

House of Bruar country set

Or what I think we're now calling 'very county', thanks to Eau's mum.

Spudlet · 07/10/2022 15:33

I loved that tartan overcoat she wore to the outdoor cinema thing - hope that comes out again. The colours were so beautiful!

SenecaFallsRedux · 07/10/2022 16:46

I just had a look at the House of Bruar website; if Kate doesn't want to go full on Brigadoon for her next visit to Scotland, there's a lady's (their nomenclature) handbag styled after a sporran. I have to admit that I am a bit tempted.

GrouchyKiwi · 07/10/2022 16:50

We always stop at House of Bruar to use the facilities when we're going up to the Highlands.

667TheNeighbourOfTheBeast · 07/10/2022 17:56

I have to confess I even had a tartan sofa, lol I thought it looked very Balmoral/ country house but my (Scottish) husband pointed out that Rab C Nesbitt had similar !
@SenecaFallsRedux oh wow that handbag sounds fun I am going to look !
Ness has some nice stuff too but I always find their dresses and skirts quite short as I’m bit taller than average and I’m in my 50s my knees are not seen in public now! They have some nice handbags

FGSWhatNow · 07/10/2022 17:58

Someone was asking about Anne's green cabin bag the other day. According to this article (I'm being stalked on google by royal family articles, can't think why...), it's a Longchamp after all

Interesting article here about the Danish shenanigans www.theguardian.com/world/2022/oct/07/danish-royals-in-crisis-as-grandchildren-stripped-of-titles-queen-margrethe

Includes a picture of Margarethe and her sisters looking fab in the National dress of Greenland!
