£60 cut and low dry every 6 weeks = £520 per year.

No other treatments these days although I did when younger. Regularly had facials, manicures, waxing.

OP posts:
Friedaseyebrow · 22/06/2022 07:17

About the same as you on hair
Botox - £450 per year
Nails - very infrequent, about £100
Facials - 4 per year £240
Eyebrow threading - about £100 per year.

Time2Move · 22/06/2022 07:19

If its a year when I get my hair cut, about a tenner. If not, nothing

JofraArchersFastestBall · 22/06/2022 07:21

I have a haircut about 3 times a year, £27 each time, so about £80. Nothing else in a salon - but I do spend a bit on skincare, makeup etc.

Overthebow · 22/06/2022 07:22

£50 3 times a year for hair and that’s it.

When I was younger I prioritised saving for a house deposit over hair and beauty treatments and it kind of stuck. Now I have a decent house and more disposable income I’ve just realised I can afford to spend on myself more, so am about to start having regular massages and I can’t wait!

TeaAndStrumpets · 22/06/2022 07:25

It was the same as you OP, but I let my hair grow at the beginning of lockdown and have saved a grand since then! I also used to have reflexology which has stopped now, saved another grand over 2 years. Rather scary when you tot it up!

HearMePlease · 22/06/2022 07:25

Dry trim 3 x a year @£15 per trim & £3 tip

Iamclearlyamug · 22/06/2022 07:26

Hair - colour every 6 weeks @ £40 a time, approx £300 a year

Nail and lash infills every 3 weeks @ £65 a time, approx £1100 (omfg never added that up before, time to slow down on that 😱)

Might have an occasional massage if my shoulder plays up but not regularly

Ilikewinter · 22/06/2022 07:26

Sadly I dont spend anything, I started cutting my own hair in lockdown - very simple short bob, and wondered why I was paying the hairdresser £35!, so now I do it myself, havent ever had my nails done, and I do skin masks etc at home 😁

LaWench · 22/06/2022 07:26

The older I get, the more I need.

£30 every 3 weeks for roots colour and blow-dry. £510

£41 every 5 weeks for hollywood and eyebrow wax £426

£30 for a lash lift every 6 weeks. £260

I'm considering Botox and I'm thinking of adding a monthly massage to the mix.

I do my own nails every week.

OldTinHat · 22/06/2022 07:27

Hair cut once a year at the local training college - £6.

YellowHpok · 22/06/2022 07:28

£700 on hair a year
£200 on eyebrows (worth every penny)
£70 a year on retinol (boots)
£150 a year on clinique

Adds up! I do my nails at home because I can't justify any more grooming expense

Ethelswith · 22/06/2022 07:28

£0

Well, at least since covid. I do my own nails, can't remember when I last visited a beauty salon (used to get waxing done, then bought an epilator)

DD started cutting my hair during lockdown (it's long and straight, so she just takes the bottom off when it starts to look straggly - I do realise not everyone has such boring, flat but easy-to-manage hair). Colour grew out, and I'm happy with what it does all by self

heldinadream · 22/06/2022 07:28

Big fat nothing.

WhiteCircles · 22/06/2022 07:29

I think I'm very low maintenance, but I still prefer not to add it up. I don't know how people who go regularly do it.

Haircut every 6 weeks, about £450
Eyebrows and eyelashes once a month c. £480

Mymoneydontjigglejiggle · 22/06/2022 07:29

Hair cut about twice a year and it's £27 so £54. Nails maybe once a year - had them done for a wedding a few months ago and they cost £20. So that's £74. Might be different if I go on a spa-type hen do as I did one of those once and had a massage, facial and pedicure although can't remember how much that cost.

prettylittlethingss · 22/06/2022 07:29

Nails each month 30 (x12) = 360
Hair cut maybe 2 times a year, once dyed = £170ish?
Lip filler once a year £200
Eyebrows every other month £10(x6) = £60
Eyelashes maybe twice a year £50(x2) = £100
=£990ish

Zazdar · 22/06/2022 07:29

I’m not sure I qualify as I get my hair cut four times a year in a lady’s kitchen. £60 a year.

CeeceeBloomingdale · 22/06/2022 07:30

No more than £50 per year.

user1487194234 · 22/06/2022 07:31

About £3k

becausetrampslikeus · 22/06/2022 07:31
Oizys · 22/06/2022 07:33

Haven’t had a hair cut since I had my daughter in 2019 so £0 (I have trimmed it myself a few times during covid)

even before that maybe once a year I’d get it cut? Sometimes have it dyed too so let’s say £150

don’t get any other beauty treatments

CaliforniaDrumming · 22/06/2022 07:34

£40 for a haircut every 3 months. Other than that, zero. I don't like manicures and such. I am 49.

DumpedByText · 22/06/2022 07:37

Hair cut and colour every six weeks £520.

Nails every three weeks £510.

Metabigot · 22/06/2022 07:38

I've just started to have my hair balayaged at 65 a time , so probably 6 times a year = 400 odd

A different hairdresser cuts it at 25 x 4 a year = 100

Eyebrow semi permanent top up 175 a year

Monthly eyebrow wax @ £6 = 72

Don't bother with nails

So £750/year?

CornedBeef451 · 22/06/2022 07:39

Nothing. Since lockdown I've been cutting my own hair and haven't ever done nails or beauty type things as I'm just not interested.

It is interesting to see how much money I'm saving by not minding looking a bit rough!
