Have seen a few blouses I’d like to buy from this website, Anyone bought any items, Are the sizes true to size, and delivery times like

OP posts:
YoComoManzanas · 26/02/2022 10:51

I had a go the other day. Sent it all back. Even knowing the pictures and quality don't match the fabrics we're very thin and the patterns not really as advertised. If you don't mind this just expect to get what you pay for.
I was in hindsight uncomfortable with the ethical and ecological veiwepoints of the cheap, disposable fashion from China.

TabithaTittlemouse · 26/02/2022 10:53

I’ve never had an issue. Good fit, good quality.

DearlyBeloathed · 26/02/2022 10:55

I've also never had an issue, have ordered very recently.

All true to size, decent quality, and faster delivery than I thought (1-2 weeks at most).

Tillymintpolo · 26/02/2022 10:55

I’ve had loads, it’s basically primark on line

PrettyBluebells · 26/02/2022 11:01

I find buying what you think is a real bargain, it's just cheap and nasty. If you buy something which is closer to the price you'd expect but a bit cheaper, then the quality is good, iyswim, lol

impressivelycunty · 26/02/2022 11:06

It's Sheit.

PAFMO · 26/02/2022 11:06

It's cheap tat made by 11 year olds for 14 year olds.

slapmyarseandcallmemary · 26/02/2022 11:06

Recently bought maternity stuff and they fit well, nice and soft.

BusterGonad · 26/02/2022 11:07

Glitterb · 26/02/2022 11:08

I’ve ordered a few things, it is basically Primark online.

Always read the reviews before ordering as some of the stuff is rubbish!

Karenina40 · 26/02/2022 11:15

It is the worst out of all bad clothes companies, modern slavery,.workers are not being paid,.child's labour, dangerous working conditions, chemicals in fabrics..... no i wouldn't buy from them. Everyone and anyone who buys from them supports all above. If you can't afford to buy ethically sourced and produced clothes then don't buy clothes at all, save your money.

Mooloolabababy · 26/02/2022 11:26

Sizes are small and quality is usually poor. I've sent back more than I've kept. Make sure you look at reviews for true sizes, but also, the photos in the review section give a much better idea of what the product is really like. They must use a filter as the items never really look like they do in the photos when you receive them.

Myonlysunshine123 · 26/02/2022 11:30

I love love love shein.

For me and my daughter. The sizing is fine actually, I have the plus size (curve) it's called. My daughter has the baggy hoodies, shes 10 and likes lots of room. Also had a bit of crafty stuff. It's better that primark actually.

cannaethink · 26/02/2022 11:47

I’ve had some good things, some rubbish. Look at the size chart for each item, and all the customer photos too. I wish more shops would do customer photos actually, it’s so useful!

isthismylifenow · 26/02/2022 12:13

I have ordered quite a bit. We don't have the option to return items so am just very careful when ordering.

Always measure yourself with a tape measure and use the size guide. And read all the reviews as they will say whether to size up or down. Filter from new to old as otherwise it starts with 5 stars.

I find the clothing to be quite big though. I am normally a size small, or 8. And I buy xs items. Most have been tops though. Though bottoms this may not be the case , but my dd had ordered a fair few pairs of jeans which are true to size and nice quality.

You do get what you pay for though. If you buy the cheapish items, it is probably polyester and one season wear. I don't get why people grumble about the quality, when you are paying so little for the item. I like the MOTF and Dazy ranges, bit more expensive but also better quality.

RedCandyApple · 26/02/2022 12:16

I had a good experience with them, I liked everything I bought!

Borracha · 26/02/2022 17:47

Horrible fast fashion shit. Morally and ecologically wrong.

alwayswrighty · 26/02/2022 18:06

I've had quite good experience with them. I'm a 12 so need a large. Mainly bought jeans and tops. One dress. No issues.

Babadook76 · 26/02/2022 18:12

I buy most of my stuff on there. The clothes are mostly very good ime, the shoes are shit. All of my clothes have been a good fit. The kids clothes are generally smaller fit so I go a size or two up

Pretty much this. It’s not all dirt cheap. I’ve paid £30 for a size newborn tracksuit and the quality was unbelievable, I’d not seen anything like it before. I put it on eBay after I’d finished with it and got most of my money back even though it was used. You can go by common sense which is going to last. I do buy a lot of the really cheap stuff, but I’ve found as long as you keep it out of the tumble dryer everything lasts as long as any other brand of clothing.
liveforsummer · 26/02/2022 18:26

Most stuff has been ok, the odd thing not. Read the reviews and see the pictures there and you get a better idea. They'll let you know the fit too, whether to size up or down but most doesn't come up small like with other Chinese retailers. Fabric in blouses might be a bit sweaty and bobble easily. The knitwear is good though

LookdeepintotheParka · 26/02/2022 18:35

DD loves it and has ordered quite a bit - knitwear, tops, jeans and trousers. Normally she buys an XS or S and it is variable from very tiny to true to size. She's a very slim size 6-8 and never found sizing generous other than the oversized stuff.

Quality is ok but most things need washing at 30 degrees. I'd rather she didn't buy from there but it would be Primark otherwise and I'm not sure they are any better ethically?

MuchTooTired · 26/02/2022 18:38

I love SHEIN. Some of it is shit, but the vast majority of bits are good for the money. I only buy items that have people who’ve left good photo reviews - I might be model skinny in my head, but the mirror says otherwise! Delivery is fast, washes well and the sizing is generally good. As an added bonus you can get ridiculous amounts of topcashback on it too, even with the discount codes.

This this this a thousand times, it is utterly horrendous, please don't finance companies like this.
CrackerGal · 26/02/2022 19:07

Yes I buy from there frequently. My teens wanted clothes from there & got me into it.
Just check the reviews re sizing, quality etc bc every item is different.
I've had a few misses but mostly everything has been a hit & I've got some great quality items from there, including kids clothes too.
Also it takes around 2 weeks to arrive. Over Christmas longer.
