This is "Beauty addicts anonymous", a wonderful community of beauty product addicts & we have been going a hot minute... some may say we are enablers... many would say that they are much more intentional about their stashing and usage since joining this sisterhood.

The first empty of the thread!

A 7.5ml Benefit Pore-fessional original primer. My HG of primers. Came as part of a set with Pore-fessional Hydrate and Pore-fessional Pearl. I think the original is still the best though.

Experiment627 · 28/01/2022 09:54

Well done @WellTidy !!!

Checking in for therapy Smile

MidnightMeltdown · 28/01/2022 11:40

This week's empties:

10) Avant hand balm: I got this in a beauty box. It costs £92 to buy this size Shock and I have absolutely no idea why! Didn't notice anything special about it.

11) Elemis night cream: my review for this is similar to the day cream that I finished a couple of weeks ago. It's a lovely cream, but I really dislike the strong synthetic perfume scent.

12) Delilah Mascara: I liked this mascara. It enhanced my lashes, but in a classy way, without the OTT false lash effect. May RP at some point, but not now as I have too many mascaras to use!

Total for the year: 12/125

I have lurked for a few years but never joined in. Due to these threads I have gone from two drawers, three bathroom shelves and a shoe box of hair, skin care (body & face), make up and perfume to two drawers and two shelves of stuff.

I will may fall off the wagon soon. My husband will be starting a project at an online beauty retailer. He said even though it’s a 6-9 month contract he will be entitled to a staff discount.

Please pray for me.

Wagsandclaws · 28/01/2022 12:09

Oh can I join in? I've got stuff still left over from last years advent calendars ( space nk, Liberty Ect ) and I STILL can't stop buying more.

Have made a promise to use everything up this year ( before it goes off ) nearly have an empty Paula's choice bha toner and a strivectin retinol serum 🥳

AprilLady · 28/01/2022 12:50

Thanks for the new thread @Experiment627 and welcome to the new joiners.

@WellTidy, I agree the Benefits original primer is excellent. I’m currently using a full size.

Experiment627 · 28/01/2022 12:54

Welcome @LrainIsGone!!! I feel like you need to find out if your husband's discount will extend to members of this thread 😁
In the meantime, you will be in my prayers.

@Wagsandclaws only from last year's advent???? I still have stuff from 2017 if not before!!! Welcome - you are in great company!

Of course @Experiment627 if I’m going down I’m taking everybody with me! 😁

SlatternIsMyMiddleName · 28/01/2022 15:53

Attending for duty!

LivingDeadGirlUK · 28/01/2022 15:57

Checking in, another stub of eyeliner pencil chucked. Who can recommend a non smudging black eyeliner product that isn't tricky to apply?

Experiment627 · 28/01/2022 16:02

LOL @LrainIsGone 🤣🤣🤣

I admire you all, with your honesty about products. I may have to join in, as it will probably help to curb my love of seeking the holy grail. Any product grail of the affordable type found during the weekly shop Grin.

Is it normal to enjoy seeing photos of other's "empties"?

hunder · 28/01/2022 17:31

My first empties on the new board

Frank Body Sleep Scrub & Soak - this was really nice, lovely scent, got it in the Liberty Beauty Drop, wouldn't buy, but enjoyed using it.
Hourglass Equilibrium cleanser- only one use but a nice balance of creamy and frothy, I did like it.
Philip Kingsley Elasticizer treatment - left my hair feeling nice and soft, but not any better than cheaper hair masks.
Formula Sleep Cream - for the price, this is great value, but I have used better.
Autograph clear lip gloss - ok
REN Atlantic kelp body wash - I've used this before, it's a good product, not one I'd buy though.

I've got through over 20 products in January, but I'm targeting small sizes. Still it's good to be getting through them.

Lndnmummy · 28/01/2022 20:38

Hi can I join? I am another hoarder obsessing over findinf thej HG of everything. It is really stressful Grin.

I do have an empty (feeling v proud) its Dr Sam Bunting flawless cleanser. That was my third bottle and I will keep repurchasing it. It is fantastic for the price.

woodhill · 28/01/2022 20:41

Yes. I love products

I find the boots recycling scheme is helpful as it incentives me to use things up but I love buying things

Lndnmummy · 28/01/2022 20:42

Oh I have another empty! Paulas choice vitamin c serum. I really like it, in my opinion it is as good as skinceuticals c-furelic. Hm what else? Oh yes a near empty of the hydragel cream by Honest. It came in Sali Huges cult beauty box (back when cult beauty was amazing) and I really loved that moisturiser.

I had a massive clear out of my stash in November when my sister came to stay.

hunder · 28/01/2022 20:48

*@Experiment627 * - it's not a good as Shiseido virtual perfection, Elemis pro collagen or Augustinus Bader rich cream, but they are all a lot more expensive.

Experiment627 · 28/01/2022 20:59

Welcome @Lndnmummy !!

Experiment627 · 28/01/2022 21:01

@woodhill Boots recycling scheme? Please say more!

@hunder thanks. You are the first person I have heard say a good think about the Augustinus Bader stuff

I have to have to have to I must stay away from AB. At all cost.

whoopstheregoesmyshouldet · 28/01/2022 21:22

Joining - did well last year but need to keep it up

woodhill · 28/01/2022 21:29

Yes, it's only at certain locations but you take 5 products back and you get (250) points on £10 spend. I think you can use double points coupon plus it was 500 points in Jan.

It boosts up your points

It's a separate website but easy to set up I find it good
