The ruthless eyeshadow culling continues... (I am supposed to be doing an assignment. Talk about procrastinating.). Gone are three ELF Bite-Size Quads in Truffle (This is by far the best of the three), Rose Water (Totally chalky), and Acai You (I bought it for a costume party.)...Nars Afterglow Palette. Too much orange for me. I think I prefer cooler tones this days, or more transparent finishes. I would honestly only use two or three shades in this palette, and so rarely, it's better to give to someone who loves it. It is followed by their miniature Voyageur palette in Suede. I have similar shades in formulations I prefer. I don't think that these are the good Nars eyeshadow formulation I have come to expect. (On the subject of Nars, I am throwing out my Orgasm Multiple stick. It's not my colour. DD1 loves it, so it can be hers. I have a mini too, I think.). Singles that are going are Bourjois - A L'eau de Rose. Barely shows up on my eyelids, but the glitter fall out on my cheeks is outstanding. Colourpop Supershock Eyeshadows in Mixed Tape (Gorgeous Taupe, but I had two and am keeping one.). 3 - was lovely, but is now bullet-proof. Truth - too glittery for me, and Birthday Girl. It's a bit unicorn fairy princess mermaid for me. Also a L'Oreal Gold Single with the name rubbed off. Nothing wrong with it, but I won't use it. (Have kept the silver and the black ones, though.)
Considering giving DD1 my Natasha Denona Mini Glam palette as too warm for me as well. I have similar shades in other palettes.
Keeping ND Minis - Love, Retro and Gold, plus the Love Palette I purchased recently. Revlon So Fierce quads in Slight Flex, That's a Dub, Tantrum and Fully Loaded. (These are really great, usable palettes that are often half price here in the drugstore. I have no compunction using these for travelling.) Nars St Germain des Pres - I love this palette AND the packaging is to die for. Makeup by Mario - Rosey Quad. This is fabulous. Four Colourpop Supershocks (for now) Two aged Pat Mc Grath mini palettes - Eye Ecstasy Sublime and Eye Ecstasy Subversive, the two L'oreal singles I mentioned before in black and silver and a gorgeous Korean eyeshadow single by Missha, called Modern Shadow Glitter Prism in the shade Blue Hole which is actually a satiny, creamy, transparent eyeshadow with tiny flecks of blue and brown.
I think I can whittle this down more.
