We need to talk about Miss Sixty

TAAT, do hope not deleted Wink

I was 21 in 2001 and Miss Sixty was the dream. I could hardly ever afford it but would save up and scour the sales for the most ludicrously low-slung jeans. I also had a fake sheepskin coat of the kind that seems to be making a current comeback. Loved it and lived in it. Also a t-shirt that for some reason said 'apples apples apples' across the boobs. Loved that too.

Who else worshipped at the alter of Miss Sixty in the early Noughties?

You've set me off now!

Frantically googling Miss sixty...just remembered the flares were called Hinda

@DukeofEarlGrey

M&S had nice going out out tops

@Gonnagetgoing you've just reminded me that me and all my mates used to wear 'tops' from the M&S undies section to go clubbing! They did a nice line in velvet corset tops around the turn of the Millennium and we all had the same one in different colours - we used to have to coordinate to make sure we didn't all wear 'the top' on the same night out!!

@DukeofEarlGrey - I had one of those velvet corset tops I think blue or could’ve been black? We all did lol. M&S were on fire fashion wise then!

Anyone recall the name of the dresses I used to wear was it Peter someone? They were sort of a slippery kind of fabric - not silk or satin some kind of Lycra. Bloody short too.

Feather boas?! I saw red ones in a sewing shop recently. Loved my feather boa!

Quilted velvet short jackets and then I got a DKNY sport black quilted short jacket.

I remember all these clothes- cargo pants, low slung flares, hankercheif tops ( and Subterranea in Ladbroke Grove!) but I remember them being more mid to late 90s than noughties. In the early noughties I was in Diane Von Furstenburg style wrap dresses and pussy bow blouses and that sort of ladylike look.

I’ve discovered actually photographic proof of me with “face gems” and body glitter on.
Straight to the back of the cupboard those photos go![/quote]
@MsAnnFrope please share them!

I adored miss Sixty! It was my favourite brand! There used to be a shop in the Trafford centre! I had a blue denim jacket that I wore to the death
I can visualise the shop now! It's where I bought my top with miss sixty on it in red glittery letters..

@Gonnagetgoing

One of my favourite places to shop and had a Miss Sixty shop was Neal Street.
