Is this outfit awful?

I have NCed.
I know this isn't a good angle but is the outfit that bad?
Someone told me it was

Jacket and jumper are a bit charity shop chic.
The jacket would be ok if it was ironed. Jumper is past it’s best.
Shirt, jeans, shoes are fine.

I’d ditch the jumper and jacket tbh.

It looks warm and comfortable. What more do you need?

It would look fine if not for the crumpled, gaping shirt collar which makes it look scruffy rather than louche.

Ah just saw it was your partner that said it looked awful and he’s not prone to commenting. To he honest if my husband is wearing something I think looks awful I am straight and tell him to his face.

I’m also ok with the very rare time he does it to me, but I just ignore him, as his dress sense is shit 😂

Did you loose weight? Is there a reason all your clothes are too big? Is the tank top new to you as opposed to totally new? Or habe you worn it repeatedly and maybe not washed it, henc why it looks stretched and worn?

The idea of this outfit isn't bad- however the fitting of the actual clothes is.

That's really rude of your partner. It's not the best fitting but doesn't need him to say that. Looks like you have a lovely figure and it's swamped by this. Style wise it's not my bag but who cares I'm just a stranger on the Internet!

To be honest as said, Ive no qualms if my husband appears in a bad outfit of telling him. And I’m ok if he says the same back. I don’t get the angst people have about that. Or more accurately it’s men can’t tell women but women can tell men.

I wouldn't describe it as an outfit. It looks like you just put on some clothes because you needed to be dressed, it doesn't look like any thought went into it. Which is fine. But it's not fashionable.

I wouldn’t wear it personally as it’s not my style but I certainly wouldn’t do a double take if I saw someone in this picking up a pint of milk or walking the dog. I think all you are guilty of is pulling on a few easy to wear random pieces, hardly a crime and something we all do. Your DPs comment was a bit nasty, the fact you were taken aback enough to post on here I assume means it’s out of character for him.

I also bought a sweater vest recently, thinking I was pretty cool! My DH thought it was piss-your-pants funny . Put me off wearing it again the twat. So it might be a DH thing.
