I know this isn't a good angle but is the outfit that bad?

I think the fact it is all baggy is a problem. You look like you are hiding quite a nice figure there. So switch the jeans for more fitted or tailored. Or wear a shirt or top which is more fitted or perhaps has a nice deep v neck.

You poor love. Yes, unfortunately, it is awful. Too baggy, too sloppy. All looks as if you have been dragged through a hedge backwards.
You can do MUCH better.

I think for the purpose you were wearing it for it's fine.
I wear that kind of thing (minus the jacket which I don't really like, sorry) all the time to go about my daily business. For going out, meeting friends etc. I'd put a bit more thought into it.

I feel like the jacket throws it off a bit somehow. Without the jacket it might have looked a bit better.
But fuck it - wear what you want!

FWIW I love your jeans and have bought some similar recently, they are quite fashionable in my world. It makes more sense now OP that the jumper is a tank top. It looks like a baggy v neck under that jacket. A fitted one would probably work fine with that but the baggy one maybe needs to be on its own over a shirt or long sleeved top?

Also unless you asked your DH for an opinion then I would just criticise something he's wearing ASAP

It looks a bit like you went to a jumble sale and put everything you bought on. I don't think there's anything wrong with each individual item, but all of it together doesn't really work - unless you're just pottering around and then who cares! Jumper or jacket - tuck the shirt in if jumper - and some tighter fitting trousers and it would look a lot less shapeless and much smarter I think.

Overall it looks too big and crumpled. I wouldn't say awful but it definitely doesn't create a good impression of you. Have you lost weight?

Wear the tank top with a t-shirt not a shirt. Wearing a shirt underneath will really date it. Unless it's super crisp and the rest of your outfit is very polished, but you seem more casual in style

For some reason it looks a bit like a costume; but I wouldn’t go as far as awful. It’s slightly oversized and maybe one piece too much.

I’m not sure the tank top is worth persevering with TBH, I’m sorry but I can’t think of a possible combination that would rescue it.

I don’t think it looks good, but I wouldn’t say it was awful. It could have been put together better. It’s the sort of thing my ex husband would have said, which is why he’s my ex.

Not awful at all, nicer than most of what you see people wearing. Perhaps it's that you usually look amazing and your form is slightly off.

I think the top half is OK. It's that intentionally mismatched preppy look. But to pull it off you need proper trousers and loafers or lace up flat boots.

I think as a pp said, it could look effortlessly chic with a few tweaks, I think the shirt, tank top and jacket combination look a little oversized together. That said, I like it, but then I like a masculine look. Your dp however, is very rude.

It’s fine, a bit Annie Hall. The only thing is the bagginess which drowns you a bit.

As an outfit it’s awful but as clothes to wear to not be naked or cold going to the shop etc it’s fine.

I'm no fashionista but that is rather dreadful, sorry OP. Looks like a random throw together of charity shop finds. Do you really need the jumper AND the blazer? Is it that cold where you are? Even taking the jumper off will help.

Individually each item is fine ( however the jeans look dated ).
Too much going on around the neck area: collar , lapels , v neck ...it's like you've decided to wear every combination of neck style .

Jeans ... would look great with an oversized jumper , tucked in at the front .
