Kate Bond premiere look

I don’t think know if this is the right place to post this, but why has The Duchess of Cambridge gone to the Bond premiere in fancy dress as Princess Margaret circa 1975?

She looked stunning! What a dress

The square-shoulder look seems to be coming back and I'm not a fan. Also, bushy eyebrows are the modern look; again, I'm not a fan. But she's lovely in everything she wears and, as one article pointed out, it's as if she missed dressing up, as have we all. So I enjoyed the glamness of it. Thumbs up!

Don't agree with this. She's always worn interesting clothes and IRRC she worked for Jigsaw ages ago - she's a fashiony person and always has been, and she's always worn things that inspired copies and write-ups.

Kate is undeniably stunning, she has a beautiful face and hair.

I actually prefer her more casual look today though - does anyone know where that suit is from? I'm sure it's way out of my price range but it's gorgeous!

Ohh magenta is really getting fashionable these days isn’t it? I bought a lovely magenta nail polish last week and after seeing Kate’s outfit I’m thinking I need a magenta jumper to wear with my nail polish 💅

I don't think she is that into style - wears stuff because she has to but I suspect is much happier in sports/casual stuff. I thought she looked wonderful wearing the tennis gear last week. But she nailed this one.

Honestly, if I was even a 10th as beautiful as Kate I'd be happy. She's absolutely stunning!

I feel like the navy under that suit isn't quiiiiiite right but it's otherwise a good look. The gold gown is just a barnstormer, though.

She looked amazing. Definitely a nod to a classic Bond girl type style. Great dress, great hair. Yes it wouldn't be a look for one of us for a Saturday night out but for a Bond premiere it was perfect.

I'm usually the last to comment on these threads but yes I thought she looked stunning - loved the shoulder pads.

I don't think she's a fashiony person. To me she always seems happiest in her casual clothes. Her public appearance dresses, with some exceptions, can be bit staid. I think that's why the Bond dress made such an impact, because she doesn't usually go for such a modern and boldly glamorous look.

I think that's sometimes the case for day wear, but for the evening I think she's usually pretty glamorous.

There was a gorgeous teal dress that I remember & a blush one with sequins(?)

I can’t help you

But I did have one I gave to a charity shop recently that was very very similar, it was topshop circa 1998 and I had to feel quite brave to wear it as it was a bit ribena berry.

I'm not a royalist,and I think she has a weird role in life, but gotta give her credit for doing it exceptionally well and looking fabulous and appropriate whatever the occasion.
