Kate Bond premiere look

I don’t think know if this is the right place to post this, but why has The Duchess of Cambridge gone to the Bond premiere in fancy dress as Princess Margaret circa 1975?

I love her, but that is a very dated hair choice. www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.glamour.com/story/kate-middleton-looked-extra-royal-in-a-stunning-gold-dress-at-the-james-bond-premiere/amp

I thought Princess Margaret too - but in a good way. There was a time when PM just reeked glamour

Lobelia123 · 29/09/2021 09:36

Were obviously not seeing the same thing :) I think she looked fabulous!!! Loved the colour on her, the dress was in her style but the stand out colour and sparkle gave it an edge and I loved the coils of her updo. Thought to myself fantastic!! She's either growing into her slightly older, more conservative look, or starting to push the boundaries of that look in a slightly younger and edgier way....I gave her full marks. More to the point than your opinion or mine, she obviously felt like a million bucks judging from her body language and big smiles all through the night, which is what counts!

I agree with this, I thought she looked stunning!
youngestisapsycho · 29/09/2021 09:38

I thought she looked amazing.. the dress is fabulous!

TheUndoingProject · 29/09/2021 09:39

I thought she looked amazing!

I'm the least stylish person ever so my opinion has little weight, but I thought she looked great! Agree with pp that she's moving into a more mature style maybe. Which I actually think is a shrewd move, slowly edging away from "dressing young" before she gets accused of "dressing too young" or something.

whatswithtodaytoday · 29/09/2021 09:40

Eh? She looks fabulous! I wondered if she's had that dress sitting in her wardrobes for two years, waiting for the opportunity to wear it.

Lobelia123 · 29/09/2021 09:41

And Mr Bond himself if reported to have told her she looked jolly lovely . .. maybe thats why she was smiling so much!

LizziesTwin · 29/09/2021 09:41

Another who thought she looked fantastic, stunning & completely appropriate for a film premiere.

TheVolturi · 29/09/2021 09:41

She looks bloody fabulous!

HaveringWavering · 29/09/2021 09:42

Princess Margaret was stunning too in her day, and I think the dress was great given that Bond is all about retro glamour- and if you can’t wear gold to Bond, when can you?

However it looked like the Queen’s hairdresser had come out of retirement to do her updo, particularly from the front.

She looked lovely, and seems to be morphing into Anna Chancellor! (Duckface in 4 Weddings.)

Charlieiscool · 29/09/2021 09:44

I thought she looked fabulous. Stunning. The epitome of stylish elegance. How anyone can compare her to a chubby fag ash lil from years ago is just absurd.
Daniel Craig in the pink velvet jacket though. Why?

HaveringWavering · 29/09/2021 09:44

Actually, it had the feel of a costume from The Crown.

I think she looks incredible. That dress is stunning.

Doomscrolling · 29/09/2021 09:47

I thought she looked divine, the best I’ve seen her. Magnificent dress!

SnottyLottie · 29/09/2021 09:48

She looked like a 70s Bond girl. She oozed glamour and there was a real sophisticated sexiness about her that was just the right amount of sex appeal for a royal. Her skin was glowing and she looked so happy. Definitely one of her better outfits in recent years and I have a feeling it will go down as one of her iconic dress moments. Everyone is talking about it.

Fluffymule · 29/09/2021 09:50

I thought she looked wonderful too. Knocked it out the park.

If royalty have a job or place in our society then I guess this is Kate doing her job. The blanket coverage, in media around the world, this morning of her at the Bond premiere is massive free exposure and promotion for British film (isn't William President of Bafta).

SprayedWithDettol · 29/09/2021 09:52

I’m no royalist, but she looked fabulous. I thought the dress was beautiful.

sashagabadon · 29/09/2021 09:52

She looks great but it seems a very uncomfortable outfit for a nearly 3 hour long film!

Toodlydoo · 29/09/2021 09:53

I think she looked amazing too.

She looked so fabulous I thought. But yeah @sashagabadon - she’s probably still picking bits of odeon popcorn out of those sequins 😉
Bluntness100 · 29/09/2021 09:56

I also think she looked fab and her hair was great, ive no idea what you’re havering about, why are you having a go, let’s see you then?

Lemonlemon88 · 29/09/2021 09:58

I thought she looked amazing. I didnt like the hair from the back but from the front is was great!

Bluntness100 · 29/09/2021 09:59

I really dislike these bitchy posts slagging women off for their appearance

I have no idea what drives someone to start a thread to be bitchy about another woman’s appearance.
