Kate Bond premiere look

I don’t think know if this is the right place to post this, but why has The Duchess of Cambridge gone to the Bond premiere in fancy dress as Princess Margaret circa 1975?

I love her, but that is a very dated hair choice. www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.glamour.com/story/kate-middleton-looked-extra-royal-in-a-stunning-gold-dress-at-the-james-bond-premiere/amp

I think she looked stunning and very happy, radiant really.

HaveringWavering · 29/09/2021 10:29

That was my thought - the dress was The Thing, hair needed to be more low key otherwise there'd be too much going on.

But that’s MY point. There was too much going on with the hair, it was in a huge 70s style puffy updo.

What are you talking about? She looks lovely. Frankly I'd give a hell of a lot to look half that good!

No need for criticism.

artquejtion · 29/09/2021 10:30

She looked utterly stunning, I thought it was perfect and she looked like she was brimming in confidence.

Looking at photos today, realise she has that wonky eye/eyebrow overbotoxed thing that can happen, didn't detract from how fab she looked.

Spindrifting · 29/09/2021 10:31

Every time I see this title, I think ‘Oh, they’ve actually decided the next Bond is female?’

Mrsjayy · 29/09/2021 10:31

I thought she looked happy and relaxed

OutwiththeOutCrowd · 29/09/2021 10:32

It was all very Strictly Come Dancing - in a good way.

HaveringWavering · 29/09/2021 10:33

@Mrsjayy

I thought she looked happy and relaxed
That’s not incompatible with having 1970s hair Grin

I thought she looked absolutely stunning and perfect for a Bond premiere.

I loved her hair and thought she looked absolutely glowing-
and she is getting rave reviews in all the papers both here and Internationally.

Also loved the pics as she seemed confident, happy and relaxed.
I would be too if James Bond told me I looked jolly lovely!

StatisticallyChallenged · 29/09/2021 10:33

I thought she looked fabulous - the dress was quite risque by her standards (quite low, quite sheer at the bottom) but she looked confident and stunning

sunshinesupermum · 29/09/2021 10:34

I thought it was the best she's ever looked and nothing like Princess Margaret! The dress was amazing.

valerianroot · 29/09/2021 10:34

I really liked the dress but agree re the hair, too fussy IMHO. . I just Googled her age and she's 39 for some reason I thought she was younger.

HaveringWavering · 29/09/2021 10:35

It was only a small step away from Princess Anne’s favourite look.

If I had cheekbones like Kate I’d be tempted to go for a pixie crop. I bet it would be much more convenient for all her sport and childcare too. But the establishment would not wear that and she’s be crucified for copying Diana.

Another vote for her looking (and feeling, by the look of her) absolutely fabulous.

catfunk · 29/09/2021 10:37

She looked fab. Margaret looked fab in 1975.

RiotAtTheRodeo · 29/09/2021 10:38

I like the dress but I agree that the hair was one fussy looking up-do.

Sally872 · 29/09/2021 10:43

She looked amazing! Love the dress and hair choices.

Don't see the point in starting a post to stag off someone else's hair choice. No matter how much you claim it wasn't an insult Hmm

What are you talking about?, the Queen has short hair for goodness sake., If Kate wanted short hair I’m pretty sure the establishment won’t lock her up in the Tower, and anyway short hair is harder not easier than long hair, long hair can be tied up easily out of the way, a pixie crop needs cutting every few weeks and not to mention morning pixie crop bed head, speaking from bitter experience.
friendlycat · 29/09/2021 10:54

I thought she looked knock out stunning. Amazing dress, great earrings and shoes, fab hair that went with the outfit and a megawatt smile. She just oozed style, sexiness, glamour and warmth.

Those photos will be iconic in years to come as she looked magnificent.

RiotAtTheRodeo · 29/09/2021 10:59

I'm sure Jenny Packham HQ are having a very busy morning having experienced a sudden uptick of interest in their label.

SleepingStandingUp · 29/09/2021 11:02

Kate knocked it out the park last night, she looked gorgeous and clearly felt it too from that smile.

Clearly thrilled to finally have a night out with the husband albeit with the in-laws having got a sitter in for the kids 😂

sashagabadon · 29/09/2021 11:02

I love Jenny Packham dresses. It always blows my mind that she is Chris Packham sister!
Imagine being their parents and producing not one but two children absolutely at the top of their respective but completely and utterly different fields.

Backstreetsbackalrightdadada · 29/09/2021 11:02

Wow I thought it was stunning! Always say this on these posts but… not a royalist Grin but she looked incredible! Really glowing! Honestly I thought that was one of the best red carpet looks I’ve seen in a while, maybe because she was smiling and normally on the red carpet people pose like they’re at a funeral. She looked amazing! And great dress for the biggest premiere Star

Backstreetsbackalrightdadada · 29/09/2021 11:03

sashagabadon whoah whoah whoah… what?!? The nice nature man and the dress designer?!

Exactly! It’s amazing really. And quite a normal household too
