What’s the ‘new’ white trainer

I’m inexplicably behind on trends! So recently embarked on a trainer finding journey to discover that if I buy white trainers then I am no longer on trend!! So what’s the new white trainer equivalent?

To wear with skinny (yes I know but I can’t do barrel or mom jeans) jeans!

The chain clogs in PegasusReturns 's picture are exactly the same as the house shoes elderly German people wear, and have worn for decades, around the house and to take the bins out etc. just with massive chains stuck on the front Anyone looking for them can find them in Kaufland, the German equivalent of Asda

I have some old Converse, white Tommy Hilfigers and recently bought some leopard P448s. The P448s are so comfortable.

If Veja are flat footed I can’t go there cos I’ve had plantar fasciitis in the past I do need a trainer with some support. Hence my current boring Brooks trainers and vionic sandals - as a lady on the large side not sure the chunkinees of a chunky Chelsea boot would look right. I need a style overhaul!

They’re not immediately identifiable as a mainstream brand which I like ( and who doesn’t want to buy something from Badger clothing 😂). I don’t mind the chain clogs but I bet they won’t be around in 2 or 3 years. Not a good investment from my point of view.

I wore my Ash high tops again yesterday. They’ve been my winter trainers for years now, I recently bought my sixth pair. Love them.

Is it me or do all the trainers have the sane look about them. The style is very old fashioned or should they be classic What happened to individuality? I like the saucony ones for the colours. Winter needs colour and I love when people show individual style instead of following trends. I have a friend who dresses brightly with amazing colours and styles snd looks nothing like anyone else at the school gate. I really admire her. I'm totally uncool and wear Skechers and teva walking sandals and sometimes Fly boots. I dress for comfort and practicality.

Agreed.

Last year I bought some lovely mustard coloured high tops from Natura and have got a few pairs of of coloured trainers going years back varying from metallic, to navy and gold NBs, to black Internationalists, zebra M&S Collection etc.

I agree with you to a certain extent. I'm not a mum so don't get the 'in' comments which people might make at the school gate!

But although I buy sometimes, on trend items, I certainly don't just buy something because it's 'in', I buy it more because it suits me.

Many people these days tend to follow trends even if they don't think they do.

Ugh, seriously? Why do you care about the things you care about?

OP, trainer-wise I'd suggest grey New Balance or any colour Adidas Ozweego, depending on the look you like.

My friend bought the JW Anderson clogs... I've seen similar at Kurt Geiger but the chain is in rainbow colours! Even less wearable!

@RampantIvy thanks for alerting me to the fact that Zalando sell Alohas. I keep seeing the brand on Instagram and thought you had to order from Europe. :)

Can I ask what you all think to these?
I like that they’re slip on. I quite like them but I’d really like to know what everyone else on here thinks, most of you are way cooler than me!
