What’s the ‘new’ white trainer

I’m inexplicably behind on trends! So recently embarked on a trainer finding journey to discover that if I buy white trainers then I am no longer on trend!! So what’s the new white trainer equivalent?

To wear with skinny (yes I know but I can’t do barrel or mom jeans) jeans!

I honestly don't notice what brand of trainer other people wear, unless the brand is obvious, but what kind of shallow person judges you on what footwear you wear anyway?

I LOVE the chain clogs @PegasusReturns. I've been toying with buying the JW Anderson ones but it's so close to winter I wonder if I'll wear them enough.

They’ve never been “out”, I don’t think.

I have some rose gold new balance and bloody love them. About to dig out my grey chunky biker boots from jigsaw for AW, hope they're still current

I’m in Kent and hardly see anyone wearing Vejas where I live. I have a pair of Veja Esplar and they were comfortable straight of the box.

@Itsnotdeep I was just about to ask if the coloured New Balance were missing the mark by a mile or 2 I am NOT fashion forward, but I love them.

@RampantIvy I also had to Google chain clogs, ive seen 1 person wearing some on the school run although , it's not a look I'd aspire to. Seems like a step on from dressing gown and Uggs though I do admit I am cluelessxat Style!

Mayhemmumma I love my air and grace! Started with the espadrilles a few years ago and get a new pair of trainers each season.

I think out of all of these I like ZAK and the new Reebok
And I have loads of new balance so I love them

Feiyue off Amazon Uk or I think mine were off a website called yellowmountain last year and were only £15…. Now schuh have them and they are £30 I think and gone up on Amazon also, extremely comfy and I’ve never seen anyone else in them, def seen people looking at them though and have been asked where they are from a couple of times, they are white with a red/blue thin line on sides, sort of wider toe, lightweight and flexible, meant for martial arts I think but fab for wearing generally too

They’re not great, are they? I’m happy to give those a swerve.

I think the chain clogs might be the ugliest shoes I've ever seen. I know some who will be wearing them though if they take off here. They look very uncomfortable.

I didn't want to pass comment on them until I got some opinions but I don't think those chains clogs are attractive at all, and so impractical in rural Pennine Yorkshire in autumn. Probably why I haven't seen anyone wear any.

I love the clogs! But I couldn't wear them. My heels are not pretty and also I'd be always sliding out of them and clinging on with my toes I think!

Once I started noticing Vejas I see loads of people wearing them. Even M&S are doing something similar!

I love my New Balance - don't see that many under 20s wearing them (my teen DD thinks they're only marginally better than Sketchers )

I really like my mint velvet trainers. I flogged my leather Vejas on eBay because they bloody hurt. Suede might be better though.

Other then that, I have several pairs of Stan smiths and they are brilliantly comfortable right from the start. I always wear them for travel.

Ds had 3 mates over the other day. Our hallway was filled with 4 identical pairs of Nike af1s in sizes 6-11

Just a note on Veja went in day out to cambridge in summer with 4 friends i happily tripped around in my silver and white supagras.and 2 of my friends fine in theirs,But one of my friends in her vejas o dear they were new she wore them as they toned with her skirt,lol hadnt broken them in.Was in agony after walk from station so we hsd to hunt for a Boots for blister plaster,her ankle was bleeding by that stage.Then after we came off punt before we had lunch as we sat in pub she had to find a Dune to buy some flip flops.

Truly pur me off vejas.for that price so uncomfortable.Ive just bought a pair from Daniel shoes online Prativerdi an Italian range reduced from £100.00 to £30.00 never heard of them before but very happy with them.white distressed leather with gold and silver trims.Comfy and stylish will definitely purchase more.

I love the chain clogs too but can’t find any that are even close to the JW Anderson ones and like @schmalex thinking it might be too close to winter and they’re not cheap.

I think they only work with the really oversized chain

I tried vejas on found them really flat footed and stiff. And not worth the money at r all
