What perfumes give you the boke?

Whilst not strictly a perfume, I picked up a can of Impulse ‘hint of musk’ recently and it reminded me of mothballs and net curtains - bleurgh.

When I first started work, as a 16 year old, my supervisor at the time wore youth dew
Every break that she had she sprayed a bit more throughout the day
Very overpowering in a small office

Oh lord I loveeee Angel! But I appreciate that it’s pretty divisive.

I wore it once in an entry-level role and my then- line manager told me it reminded her of a particularly heavy night out. Maybe she’s on mumsnet ;)

Not sure I’d recognise Angel. The only one I can think of that makes me retch is Exclamation. Absolutely can’t stand it.

I couldn't stand the Elizabeth Arden Sunflowers one which was popular in the nineties.

I really, really hate Exclamation. Can’t stand to be around it.

Another one, that I used to wear myself so it’s odd how much I’ve gone off it, is L’Eau d’Issey. Unfortunately a close friend uses vast quantities of it, and I really find it quite nasty, just far too cloying.

Angel, alien and aura- properly scrubbed my arm to get rid of the sample spray of aura.

I honestly thought I was the only person on the planet who hated Angel as everybody I know loves it.

I also can’t stand Chanel no 5, smells cheap to me 🙈
