What perfumes give you the boke?

Whilst not strictly a perfume, I picked up a can of Impulse ‘hint of musk’ recently and it reminded me of mothballs and net curtains - bleurgh.

@ Justilou Mitsouko - always smells like an ancient bottle of unearthed perfume that has gone well and truly off.

I remember reading a book on perfumes with 'expert' opinions ...ouch! most of mine were ridiculed except Mitsouko!

Mind you I can take it on these boards cos I am very scathing about all the Calvin Klein clunkers!

I adore POAL and Lipstick Rose which is another Frederic Malle scent.

Another one saying Alien. It made me feel sick and gave me a terrible headache.

Surprised me because my absolute favourite perfume is Angel. I love it.

Trésor, it's just awful. Also some horrendous aftershave my stalker sprayed on a new boyfriend because he was an utter creep, was some obscure crud but I've smelt it on unattractive men once or twice recently, I could just barf ugh

I was I a restaurant with my family earlier this week and all was fine until another customer came in bathed in Alien. I wasn’t even the table closest to us. I had to ask if we could move tables. If I’d have stayed I know I’d have had a 2 days migraine. Why do people have to put so much on! I get that you like it, but bloody hell it was so intense it’s almost antisocial!

Youth Dew- once asked someone what they were wearing so I could avoid it

Dislike Chanel No. 5 and don’t get the hype
Lancôme Hypnose makes me feel nauseous but it isn’t popular so not a problem.

I love other people wearing Alien but find it too much to wear myself.

Mostly I am pretty tolerant and I like catching a lot buff of perfume from people.

Any scent that smokers use to attempt to hide the stench of cigarettes!

Poison

Anything vanilla based. Sickly and cheap-smelling. Anything ‘sweet’ in fact. I haven’t smelled Angel but I now suspect I’d loathe it.

Mitsouko - always smells like an ancient bottle of unearthed perfume that has gone well and truly off. Giorgio Beverly Hills - was working in a department store when it was released. It was hugely popular and a lot of us ended up going off sick. It gave me a burst blood vessel in my eye. Lou Lou/Jo Malone Red Roses/ any of those Uber rosey scents smell like toilet blocks. Chanel no 5 really does smell like wee. Total agreement. All of the Liz Taylor gemstone fragrances from the 90’s 🤮 Actually, all of the celebrity fragrances I’ve sniffed so far, tbh. Anything Coty gets their hands on and cheapens the formula of hencewith.

I don't like Chanel No.5 but Chanel No.5 L'Eau is like a totally different perfume, it's lovely.
