Nice write up@iguanadonna

You are very strong but I agree if something isnt right ( and isnt easily altered) then back it goes.
I had a look in JL and came out with the slate blued yoked skirt.
A bit of a gem really, not exciting to look at but a good cut, light weight and will get lots of wear.
I then went to toast and tried on the pintuck skirt which is a heavy textured cotton, not brushed but has a lovely feel to it.
On the list for next month.
The flat front denim culottes -had to be perfect at £185 but they were .
They come up huge though and I went down one size to a 10.
Someone with a smaller bum might go down 2 sizes.
They are, like a few toast trousers very neat on the waist despite the plackets.
A lovely length and gorgeous dark denim.
I tried the apple green aran cardigan which was lovely but very boxy.
It worked for me as my lower curves sort of balanced it out.
Really nice but not sure if £200 nice.
Back on the list with the pintuck skirt .
I also bought my 3rd toast nightie , the cerulean marigold , just divine.
DH said ooih nice dress !
Actually it could be worn as a dress but I would worry that another toastie might spot me Smile
Apoligies if I posted this before ,Im tired and I thought I did, but probably didnt .
I also picked up the Thunders love yellow socks.
Planning on these and the fairisle as presents.

Great posts @iguanadonna and @TempleofZoom.

The neat wool cardigan is indeed neat. I have the lime version from last winter and a brown version from JL. I have worn both as a cardigan over a dress (intend to wear the lime one over the Tala green dress in winter) but also as a jumper buttoned up over jeans and with a little Toast scarf around the neck. I haven't found them so itchy that I can't wear them as a jumper with only a bra underneath.

@templeofzoom, the flat fronted culottes look great: £195 not £185? Toast is recommending a 12 for me but by your suggestions it seems I might need a 10? Only thinking of them but not necessarily buying them as I bought the JL Kin Tapered Cropped Denim Jeans which I really like. I got them in a 12 which fit perfectly (possibly slightly generous on the waist but they don't have any elasticine in them. www.johnlewis.com/kin-tapered-crop-denim-jeans-indigo/p3563261

Oops sorry yes £195
Im a classic RL size 12 with a smallish waist, flattish tummy but a bum and hips.
The 10 I found plenty big enough and very comfortable around the hips, snug but not uncomfortable on the waist.
For reference I have the Annie crop trousers in a 12 if that helps.
Ive just done the sizing thing and they recommended a 12 for me also.

Another day, another jumpsuit. Enjoying the hot weather🔥. Wearing with kitty clogs which I like but are hard to get used to walking in!

Toast is there any stopping us?
TheChattyRat · 06/09/2021 11:57

Am enjoying all the RL toast reviews btw

AmethystMoonShine · 06/09/2021 12:55

I wore my one of those jumpsuits yesterday @TheChattyRat. I love mine, it's certainly earned it's keep. So comfy for what is really quite a smart garment...and I love a one garment dressing piece! (lazy) Grin

faustina · 06/09/2021 14:32

@TheChattyRat - that looks so simple and lovely - boiling hot here too, and I'm dressed for pruning in old gap shorts and a t-shirt which no-one needs to see

I went to a Toast shop the other day to look at the big Kate Spade bag btw and decided it wasn't as nice as in the photos - it felt flimsy and didn't seem to hang very well

Laska2Meryls · 06/09/2021 17:40

I have just come back from the beach wore the citrus check Dhuggie from the last sale as a beach robe ...
(Swam.. was old fat woman in a non Toast bikini .. didn't care, let em look)
This is local beach .. really hot here today, so making the most of it.. Next week ill probably be in jumpers and wet weather gear .. we are off up to Scotland in the van

These bags look good I thought.. saw a recommendation on another thread

Laska2Meryls · 06/09/2021 17:44

Id like to see the Hattie bag in Navy

faustina · 06/09/2021 18:36

They look nice Laska! Quite similar to Mimi Berry bags.
Very jealous of you being so near a beach!

iguanadonna · 06/09/2021 20:26

Love the jumpsuit @TheChattyRat

I also used a Toast nightie as a beach dress all summer! No one realized it wasn't a day dress - I even consulted highly critical teenager.

Mariclaire82 · 06/09/2021 20:47

Quite a few of the 'sold out' items have appeared back on the website- I just ordered the needlecord dress which customer services were very clear had sold out and would not be back... now available in all sizes Confused so with anything you think you might have missed it is worth a double check!

ToastCosILoveIt · 06/09/2021 21:36

@Mariclaire82, i suppose they have all of the stock from the shops as they didn't have a summer sale in the shops, only online. Mind you, the summer stock wouldn't have included a needlecord dress i don't suppose so well done!

@Laska2Meryls, your description of your swim did make me laugh as it sounds like me too!

Laska2Meryls · 07/09/2021 09:38

Last gasp of summer? Another hot day here and I have a long dental appointment.. ...
Oh well .. Classic Toast linen dress from a few seasons ago.. Never out of fashion.. and wearing beautifully..

Toast is there any stopping us?
Laska2Meryls · 07/09/2021 20:20

No one around? Have you started a new thread without me?
I wore my Toast orange Mexican print kaftan to the beach today ! More sea swimming in the glorious weather whilst we can ...

Countmeout · 07/09/2021 20:33

Glorious day @Laska2Meryls. I had my triangle dress on. Too busy over the last few days to post.

We are still here @Laska2Meryls ! I too was wearing my triangle dress. Still waiting for my Harlequin dress to arrive.

Toast is there any stopping us?
ilovecherries · 08/09/2021 08:56

I’m touring north of Scotland in our ‘van. When we left I thought autumn had arrived so I brought all my Gabis and cosy jumpers. Today I had to pop into a primark in Aberdeen to get a couple of tee shirts - so no toast pics from me till it cools down.

Saurus72 · 08/09/2021 09:08

@MrsCat1 I’m still waiting for my Harlequin dress too. Quite annoyed actually - I ordered it on Friday and there’s still no sign it’s been dispatched. I called yesterday to ask about it - she said it will be dispatched ‘definitely today or tomorrow’. The problem is that we’re going away for a few days on Friday so unless it arrived tomorrow it will be no good. I think I’m going to have to cancel the order then reorder when we’re back. Why do Toast make it so hard?

ToastCosILoveIt · 08/09/2021 12:14

I am really looking forward to hearing about the sizing on the Harlequin dress and seeing a picture of it on a real Toast person if anyone is brave enough! I haven't ordered it yet as I had a big Toast splurge in August and I have dresses galore from this season and last.

I agree re the dispatch @Saurus72. Sometimes when I have placed a big order I pay up for next day delivery despite having the option of free postage as it cuts down on the waiting and anxiety and also means a quick turnaround if I don't want to keep any of the items. Loyal customers did used to get free first class delivery until the beginning of this year I think.

MrsCat1 · 08/09/2021 15:52

@Saurus72 I've just received notification that my order has been despatched. So I'm anticipating that it will arrive on Friday.

Saurus72 · 08/09/2021 16:45

Yes me too @MrsCat1 - I tried to cancel my order earlier today but they said it was in progress. I’m thinking the dresses weren’t actually in the warehouse when we placed our orders.

Saurus72 · 08/09/2021 17:18

@ToastCosILoveIt I did think about paying for next day delivery which, like you say, would have saved the worry. Definitely would have been money well spent! When I called yesterday I tried to change my delivery to next day and offered to pay the extra but they said they couldn’t change the order once it had been placed. Hmm 🤨

dudsville · 08/09/2021 18:36

Hi all, I had to step away from the thread. If anyone recalls, I was the lurker who was going to try on the tent-like denim dress. A series of random things left me spending far too much and when I got to the toast shop that Friday I managed to walk on by... so a few weeks on I dip back in to this thread, see the wonderful rl examples and, yup, I now have £2300 in my dream basket. That coat up thread is a big portion of it, so beautiful! Argh! I'm going to sit on this, but it was lovely reading all of your reviews!
