I've recently started working again after a few years being a SAHM. The idea of earning some money again is beyond exciting. I sometimes see threads on here where people talk about their favourite purchases and I covet stuff but haven't ever been able to partake in spending. So could we start a new thread? Any brilliant new clothes, beauty products or even household stuff - what's been your best purchase over recent months?!

And my wish list is started!!! Thanks for these so far.

Are the Ooni pizza ovens good then? I've seen them advertised.

Ooh always love a cleanser - will look that up as well.

ClosedAuraOpenMind · 20/06/2021 19:37

@InTheKitchenAtParties

I wash a decent size spud .. stick it in the microwave for 7 minutes .. then I spray 3 squirts of fry light and a minimal scrunch of sea salt
Stick it in for 45 minutes turning half way through if I remember and that is it .. heavenly..nice dob of butter loads a little cheese and some beans ... probably my fav dinner just now
Had to cut down and only buy 3 per week or I'd have one every day lol

PurpleDaisies · 20/06/2021 19:43

Tkees sandals.

Expandable garden hose.

BigButtons · 20/06/2021 19:50

Mine has been 2 things both expensive but very very much worth their weight in gold.
P50 toner which had completely transformed my face and removed wrinkles and the foreo bear which has removed my nl folds, smoothed out and plumped my upper lip, given me amazing cheek bones, lifted my saggy neck and eyebrows.

WelshMammy123 · 20/06/2021 19:50

@ClosedAuraOpenMind Thank you! Just looked up the Ooni and it looks fab. Is it quite big though? Does it go outside or in the kitchen?

Also just looked up Air Fryers - didn't know I needed one but think I now might do!

These shorts from next. Comfy, lightweight and pretty flattering (I'm plus size, size 16)

https://www.next.co.uk/g27170s14/293403#293403

Fenty SPF. Smells heavenly and works plus doesn't sting my eyes

ELF bite size eyeshadow. Blend well, the shimmer shades are gorgeous and they're £3

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/06/2021 19:52

I really like the Aveda leave in hair treatment from the M&S summer gift bag.
Bought a long black dress from Arket that is lovely and light and wafty.
A ring from Monica Vinader.
Seasalt sandals which I hope will be comfortable!
And a huge new wardrobe from M&S which I am totally in love with!

canyon2000 · 20/06/2021 19:52

This jumpsuit! I love it!. I have a Ninja Foodi, and seriously, it is totally worth it! I use it nearly every day and can roast chickens, steam food, fry foods.... Definitely get one, it is worth it!

Gwenhwyfar · 20/06/2021 19:53

My Nuface device and my LED mask, making a huge difference to the tone and texture of my skin.
If you had to choose just one of them?
RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 20/06/2021 19:55

Love that, Canyon. I've got a couple of Fatface jumpsuits and have had loads of wear out of them. I just bought a new jumpsuit from Bravissimo, but it seems to have disappeared from their website.

UnreasonablyPissedOff · 20/06/2021 19:57

OP we have an Ooni pizza oven & we've used it LOADS since we got it..ours is a wood burning portable one & you have to use it outside. My top tip with it is to buy the digital thermometer as we were finding it hard to regulate when to cook the pizzas & they were cremated or raw dough at times. Now they're perfect every time

I've bought the Sunday Riley set & love it

New balance trainers which I'm loving too

Congrats on your new job & happy shopping / wish listing

WelshMammy123 · 20/06/2021 19:57

Ooh can anyone share links to clothes they've bought? I've been stalking Hush recently but any recs on dresses, jumpsuits well received! I feel out of touch clothes wise
