I've recently started working again after a few years being a SAHM. The idea of earning some money again is beyond exciting. I sometimes see threads on here where people talk about their favourite purchases and I covet stuff but haven't ever been able to partake in spending. So could we start a new thread? Any brilliant new clothes, beauty products or even household stuff - what's been your best purchase over recent months?!

GHD straighteners to replace my 11 year old cheapo ones.

Hall, stairs and landing decorated, it’s made such a difference to the whole house.
Hush denim jacket, finally I’ve found a comfy, right shade of denim jacket.

Erborian cc cream. Foundation slides off my face even with primer and goes patchy but this stuff is amazing and my skin looks much better.
Ouai shampoo and conditioner. Before this I'd refuse to pay over £5 but I tried a sample and the difference to my hair was amazing, smells gorgeous too.
Sol de Janeiro bom dia bright cream. Smells gorgeous, sinks in Well and leaves my skin soft.

Mac liquid last 24 hour waterproof liner, at 60 years old, the first ever liner to stay put and last till I take it off at night. I wish I had found it sooner, I would of saved so much money thats been wasted on all the ones I just threw away.

It doesn’t look greasy or shiny on and it doesn’t mess up my skin . I can get cystic spots on my chin, a dry forehead and I have hypersensitive cheeks (a leftover from rosacea) that get red and rashy. I’ve used this daily for a month and nothing! So I’m happily using glycolic acid and will swap to retinol next week knowing my skin’s protected from (more) dark spots.

IT bye bye undereye concealer. I use it on chin, under eyes and on nose. Doesn't crease and is long lasting

Love this too but finding it’s just liquid on hot days so might be a winter only one for me!

You will get amazing results! I spend longer on each area of my face then recommended though. It’s very easy to do when watching tv or sitting on the computer.🙂

I got a sample in a beauty calendar and was astonished by it. It’s the best eye cream ever AND, as I reached the end of it, I noticed that my lashes were longer and thicker than they’ve ever been in my entire life. It’s spendy but my God it’s worth it.

Mine has been 2 things both expensive but very very much worth their weight in gold. P50 toner which had completely transformed my face and removed wrinkles and the foreo bear which has removed my nl folds, smoothed out and plumped my upper lip, given me amazing cheek bones, lifted my saggy neck and eyebrows.

@BigButtons, have a Foreo Bear on my wishlist but could I ask a question please re the practicalities of using it?! So, say I want to use it in the evenings, where does it fit in my skincare regime given that I need to use a gel of some sort with it? Do you end up doing an extra cleanse or use it inbetween cleanses? Seems such a stupid question but has long puzzled me!

Oh and to answer the OP’s question, my best purchases have been a good non-stick frying pan, an Eufy Robovac, some Medik 8 skincare and a M&S cleansing balm which they have regretfully discontinued.

@Gimmeaminute I started off being very good and cleansing beforehand and then afterwards. Now I just use it whenever and wash the gel off my face afterwards . It seems to work absolutely fine on an uncleansed face!
