What do you think of these sandals?

I’m late 30s and pregnant, so not interested in heels at the moment. However even before I got pregnant I felt my style had gone a bit boring and mumsy, so I’d like to buy some sandals for the summer that look nice.
I have a Hobbs voucher - what do people think of these?

Beautiful. I think they're classy and understated and will go with a lot of outfits.

oprahwindfuryy · 03/06/2021 23:19

A no from me

Mitford1789 · 03/06/2021 23:21

Haha two very different view points! Smile anyone else?

Boring

Sporranrummager · 03/06/2021 23:23

Lovely with painted toenails (and please don't use 'mumsy' as an insult)

ErrolTheDragon · 03/06/2021 23:24

Pleasant.

ILoveShula · 03/06/2021 23:25

I like them. I'd wonder how comfortable they would be on a hot day with a bigger bump though as feet can expand during pregnancy. Sorry to be so sensible, I'd get birkenstocks.

Watchingthetelly · 03/06/2021 23:25

Very classy but very boring. They seem a bit older than you are.

Checkingout811 · 03/06/2021 23:25

I like them and would wear them. They’ll look nice with lots of different outfits too.

Mitford1789 · 03/06/2021 23:26

@ILoveShula I do have Birkenstock’s actually, but I don’t feel very trendy in them!

Myusernameisnotmyusernameno · 03/06/2021 23:26

I like them

ILoveShula · 03/06/2021 23:30

They are trendy this year. I'm being far too sensible thinking about potentially swollen feet. Treat yourself to the Hobbs ones

SadSongsAndWaltzes · 03/06/2021 23:36

I'm not keen I'm afraid, but we probably have very different styles. I always have something like these for summer: www.teva-eu.com/en/gb/womens-tirra-strappy-leather-sandals/4177.html?dwvar_4177_color=RUST

They're so comfy for any kind of terrain and I like the sturdy, utilitarian look, I think they go with anything (appreciate you all may disagree 😂).

GCAcademic · 03/06/2021 23:43

I must have fully arrived at middle age. I think they look classy but probably not that comfortable to walk in, so I wouldn’t buy them.

Blossomtoes · 03/06/2021 23:44

The Hobbs sandals are lovely. I wish I hadn’t seen them because I really can’t justify another pair of sandals.

Nightbear · 03/06/2021 23:45

Birkenstocks are everywhere this year. Every shop and designer has their own look alike version. Chanel have Birkenstock-esque sandals!

Ifonlyidknownthen · 03/06/2021 23:46

I'm 41 and would feel 61 in those, sorry

ElizabethTudor · 03/06/2021 23:49

It’s a no from me.

LoveFall · 03/06/2021 23:49

I like them. I also think the heel makes them quite young looking, contrary to some others.

mammmamia · 03/06/2021 23:52

I’m early 40s and I wouldn’t wear these, sorry.

midsomermurderess · 03/06/2021 23:54

They're inoffensive.

Runkle · 03/06/2021 23:58

No sorry. I can't see how they'd be comfy either.

Nightbear · 03/06/2021 23:58

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with them, I’m just revelling in a summer where comfy is popular.

JW13 · 04/06/2021 00:01

They look like the Saint Laurent Tribute flat sandals, but I'm not sure on the heel. To me that frumps them up a bit....

MrsMaiselsRedCoat · 04/06/2021 00:02

I like them, they have the feel of the classic Hermes slides.

If you want to the on trend though, go for Birkenstock's, they are the shoe of the moment!
