Sorry if there’s already a thread, couldn’t see one.

Just seen a pic of the happy couple here

All other issues aside, I love her style! I though she’d become a bit less boho and casual in recent months but the dress is a return to form :o

As for him, I think we can conclude from his wedding look that his hair physically cannot be brushed.

The flower crown does not fit. I have visited a proper May Day parade where lots of the children wear (and even dance in) floral crowns and they all fit MUCH better.

@SarahBellam

He looks like her dad.
That’s 😆
MustardRose · 30/05/2021 13:28

I think she looks lovely, and good on her for wearing exactly what she wanted and not allowing herself to be 'styled' by someone else.

Purplecatshopaholic · 30/05/2021 13:28

Can’t stand her or him. However, she looks stunning here - love the dress and the head-dress. Good luck to her, she’s going to need it….

Mydogmylife · 30/05/2021 13:31

@MournfulTromboneNoise

Can't wait to see what his mistress is wearing.
Tee hee 😂
Quickchangeartiste · 30/05/2021 13:32

@OrchestraOfWankery

There’s a lid for every pan, I suppose Well, he's had a few goes round the cooker, hasnt he? Grin

OhGodNotThisAgain · 30/05/2021 13:33

We are all entitled to our opinion

No shit 🙄

JinglingHellsBells · 30/05/2021 13:33

The dress wasn't doing it for me. Very retro from the 70s style.
Too fussy and a very high neckline. I felt there was too much of everything- billowing sleeves, lace, long hair, big flower circle. But dresses are a very personal choice and she does go for a 'hippyish' look sometimes.

buggerbuggery · 30/05/2021 13:33

He looks like her father in an ill-fitting suit and his version of a combover to hide his bald patches. He looks like he has made zero effort.

Her dress is nice, I agree her flower crown does not fit. But she looks lovely.

JinglingHellsBells · 30/05/2021 13:34

@Campervanna

Congratulations to them both. I hope they have a long and happy marriage.

She looks stunning and the dress and headdress really suit her. Only thing I would have changed, if I was her, is the red nail varnish on her bare toes.

Where is there a photo of her feet? I've not seen one.
JustMeAndWheatley · 30/05/2021 13:35

It’s not my style but I think it really suits her and she looks fabulous. She looks radiant and happy too.

SummerWhy · 30/05/2021 13:40

It works for some people but I think the flower crown makes her look a bit silly and childish, especially with her 56 year old husband standing next to her. I like the dress but it doesn’t suit the Westminster Cathedral/Downing Street setting. Her hair looks lovely.

ChicChaos · 30/05/2021 13:40

I'm a similar age to Boris and agree with the previous posters about it being a bit too 70's for me - while I can see that it might look fresh to younger eyes than mine Grin, I wore a similar bridesmaid outfit in the late 70's and I wouldn't wear it again now.

Carrie looks happy in both photos (released one and the barefoot one) however the released photo is one of the most unflattering photos of Boris I've seen!

SueSaid · 30/05/2021 13:43

I'm surprised they released a picture knowing how nasty people would be.

'Just imagine him naked? 🙈🙈🙈I don’t care how much charisma he has. That’s a sight I don’t even want to imagine, let alone see.'

The poster who said this I'm presuming you're a perfectly toned size 10 that people would want to imagine naked? Thought not.

Hotchox · 30/05/2021 13:45

Since this is a shallow thread, I will add that my main take-away from the wedding is that there's now a vacancy in his life for a mistress.

I give it about a year for him to fill it...

Serpenta · 30/05/2021 13:47

A year?

The poor chap isn't a monk! August by the latest. Wouldn't be surprised if he's already sifting through CVs.

midsomermurderess · 30/05/2021 13:47

Do you always ask and answer your own questions Janiie?

ivfbabymomma1 · 30/05/2021 13:49

She looks absolutely stunning

I hate to say it but he does kinda look like father of the bride. BUT saying that she looks totally gorgeous and happy and that's all that matters

buggerbuggery · 30/05/2021 13:51

I am guessing as Carrie and Boris were not married the violinist does not count as a mistress?

Orf1abc · 30/05/2021 14:04

At least she'll have a pretty picture to look at when it all goes wrong.

OverByYer · 30/05/2021 14:08

I like the dress but the crown is too big for her and falling over her face. God knows what she sees in him. He looks more like her father than husband in the photo.
Their body language is off he always looks like he is keeping a tight grip on her. ( probably is)

SpindleWhorl · 30/05/2021 14:11

@midsomermurderess

Do you always ask and answer your own questions Janiie?
No, that's my job.
mariemare · 30/05/2021 14:14

I am resisting the temptation to make any comments about Carrie, her husband, politics and who can get married in Westminster Cathedral.

Instead, what I will say, is that dress is clearly a very personal choice, and she rocks it. Many other women would look terrible in a dress like that and/or hate the design, but it suits her and I always admire when a bride makes her own choices rather than allows herself to be steamrollered by fashion or family.

She looks good, very pretty pic.

badacorn · 30/05/2021 14:17

She looks great.. Boris could have made an effort for his own bloody wedding though. Scruffy as ever.

Louisianna16 · 30/05/2021 14:18

@DobbyTheHouseElk

The BBC said that he was allowed to marry in the Catholic Church because his previous marriages took place in C of E churches. I have no idea in the rules, I married a catholic in an Anglican Church so the rules are different.
I'm a twice married non practising ,non believing ( any more) Catholic, and the Catholic Church does not recognise my 2nd marriage,in a registry office, nor my divorce. I married a nominally CoE man in a Catholic church, and am.stil married to him their eyes. Boris did it the other way round,that's all,the Cath Church wont see him.as twice married previously .

She looks lovely, Boris looks like Boris, and I wish them both nothing but happiness .
