Any hairdressers? Orangy roots!

So I was quite blonde anyway but with dark stretched roots so thought I'd to blonde all over. I used high lift from Sally's and 9% but the roots are a tad orange! Any advice?? I've tried purple shampoo on dry hair. I was going to try 12% on the roots tomorrow if anyone can advise if this will help?

Your hair looks great. During lockdown I’ve taken the opportunity to let highlights grow out. Every single time I went to the salon I paid a fortune and two weeks later I hated it and the colour had deteriorated. I feel like I’ve saved a fortune, the time wasted in a salon and feel just as happy with my hair. Loads of my friends have done the same.

Bloody hell what a night for the nut jobs and spiteful sad f@cks on here tonight. Truly, these people are seriously messed up. I’d hate to be them, living in their negative nasty world. Clearly they are not getting enough ego feed irl and their swanky hair cutting jobs. Sad.

OP your hair looks great. I just dyed my daughters white bleach blonde hair with a light honey brown & it’s been fine. Our (very kind) hairdresser gave us free advice even though we are doing DIY with a box dye and says it fades out quickly on the initial dye but once it’s been done 2-3 times the colour starts to get absorbed more permanently into the hair.

We used this colour as it has a warm tone & it’s really pretty

Coming back to this, the two ‘professional’ hairdressers who’ve been continually sniping at the OP, perhaps you should direct your ire at the shops that sell at home DIY hair products, not the people who use them?!?!

Mammaaof · 17/05/2021 12:36

I notice that the two "hairdressers" haven't come back since I posted the 2 recent photos where my tree isn't reflecting onto my head!
I went to the school today a bit anxious but more than one parent told me my hair was really nice and that it looks more natural! Thank you so much to all the lovely people on here reassuring me and giving me help and advice 💕💕💖💖

What a garbage human being you are. Reported - you're a bully. An adult bully, how embarrassing for you.
youvegottenminuteslynn · 17/05/2021 12:53

Hurrah thank you @MNHQ for being quick and stamping out bullying. Much appreciated Thanks

Journeynotdestination · 17/05/2021 12:56

Please suspend this awful person @mn81987 @MNHQ - it’s people like this that put others off using the site!!

I actually think your hair looks really nice and think you did a great job.... some people are just proper weird 🤷🏻‍♀️

Journeynotdestination · 17/05/2021 13:06

@Mammaaof just pure nastiness, telling the OP her hair looked (expletive). Hope she gets booted off the entire site!!

Mammaaof · 17/05/2021 13:15

@Journeynotdestination oh I'm glad I didn't see it, don't know why them 2 have taken such a hate to me x

It wasn't even a clever insult, just them being a prick! Hopefully MN will suspend or ban them based on this thread as they've been so vile.
Londontown12 · 17/05/2021 13:25

Hairstylist here !! Because u have lifted it to orange u may only need 20vol peroxide now which is 6% but maybe leave it on til it’s a pale yellow like the inside of a banana then get yourself a toner and just tone the roots !
Hope this helps xxx

Mammaaof · 17/05/2021 13:26

@Hairobsessed123 thank you for coming along and being kind and actually giving helpful advice thank you 💕

You look great. It's turned out a really nice ash-blonde colour.

Enjoy your weekend away with your children (without worrying about having green hair in the pictures Grin)

Londontown12 · 17/05/2021 13:30

No problem @Mammaaof !! U may just need bleach to do the roots u can lift it after using a hi lift colour btw I don’t really use hi lift they never lift enough if u want it a nice light blonde xxx

Mammaaof · 17/05/2021 13:32

@otterbaby thank you! We are going to Butlins so people may just think I'm part of the entertainment there 😂

Op honestly your hair looks great. Mumsnet is nothing if not honest. Ignore the poster who is being abusive. Not sure what’s going on there, but clearly some personal issues.

BillieSpain · 17/05/2021 14:25

It honestly looks absolutely great. As PP said a 'posh blonde' it is what I am after! Well done.

MyFavouritePlace · 17/05/2021 15:25

You've done a fab job. Your hair looks great.
