Been thinking of trying this for a while, as I've felt in need of some style inspiration.
My parcel is due for delivery on 3rd April, but I think I get to know what's in it before that: I've said that I'd like a Spring dress for upcoming pub lunches.
Excited now.

Is that a cardigan? Or a dress? God only knows what you’d end up with in your box if you say you like it 😂

SilverOtter · 28/05/2021 23:03

I've just changed my age too in the hope of dialling down the frump-o-meter!😂

SilverOtter · 28/05/2021 23:04

@SallyCinnabon

Just done the style shuffle and most was awful, I like the black jumpsuit and denim jacket. The cardigan though…
That cardigan/cloak/whatever is utterly vile🤢🤮
CorianderBee · 28/05/2021 23:19

I prefer Lookiero as you get younger more European labels. Stitch Fix is fun though and has accessories

CorianderBee · 28/05/2021 23:24

And agree stitch fix dressed me like a grant

I love the idea of StichFix but it just hasn't worked for me. I want to get out of a style rut but they send me the most conservative of my actual rut (does anyone anywhere need more Bretons and skinnnies in 2021?). I've kept a couple of things but need the weather to warm up to wear them. I can't decide whether to try again or cancel.

FourTurnings · 29/05/2021 04:56

I’ve kept two pairs of gorgeous high waisted straight cropped jeans, one with turn ups, thank God they’ve never sent me skinnies as they’ve never suited me. Don’t know why, as I’m a tall size 10 and my legs are my best feature ( increasingly so now that the wrinkles are kicking in).

FourTurnings · 29/05/2021 04:58

Agree with PP that Lookierio has a more ‘European’ edge and the branding etc feels cooler.

MaryTheMiddle · 29/05/2021 08:40

I tried Lookiero a few times last year and wasn't especially impressed.

I asked for casual in a box I'd ordered during the summer and then got loads of skinny jeans and tops, although I'd made a huge Pinterest board of beautiful, casual, summer dresses. Then asked for an oversize sweater for the next box and they said they couldn't find any Confused. I did keep a few things, but all of them bar one have been donated or passed on now as they weren't right, I was just keeping for convenience. The lat thing to go still might go.

I think I'm too difficult to please with clothes.

On a brighter note, I ordered myself a nice oversize cardi from Mango and some loafers to try from there too. Also a few tops from ASOS.

MaryTheMiddle · 29/05/2021 08:41

The sweater request was being autumn/winter season; there were so many in the shops and I'm not an unusual size.

ashmts · 29/05/2021 08:47

Has anyone got a Lookiero code? I'm tempted to give it a go to compare

Candleabra · 29/05/2021 08:48

Yes I was confused by stitchfix when I asked for a summer halterneck dress and they said they didn't have any. I thought the whole point was that they could choose anything. They also said they couldn't send jeans as I hadn't selected any from my style shuffle!

From my boxes it was 50% mauvette (their own brand), then lots of Boden, Ralph Lauren, mint velvet. Very little variety.

Cismyfatarse · 29/05/2021 09:57

Do you know what would be interesting is links to things people have loved so I can see and purchase them myself. More control and less of a lottery.

I would love to see some fabulous clothes I would not have thought of buying.

MaryTheMiddle · 29/05/2021 10:04

The waterfall cardigan was Mauvette. No thank you!

I think looking at S&B boards is a good way to find ideas and brands I haven't heard of, or had forgotten about.

HesSpartacus · 29/05/2021 10:13

Oops MrsMaizel - I need to watch my language! Confused

God, a waterfall cardigan - I didn’t think they existed anymore... I do like the idea of being surprised by new exciting clothes / brands each month but the reality has been a bit different. Well, I suppose I have been surprised, but only by how conservatively their stylists seem to want to dress 48 year old me! At this rate, next month’s pick will be Land’s End clothing and Hotter shoes Grin

Dellabob123 · 29/05/2021 11:01

I got to a point t where I had to specifically request nothing ever from mauvette - so so awful. They did t send after to be fair!

I am looking forward to my lookerio box - will be interesting to have the comparison!

ChubbyLittleManInACampervan · 29/05/2021 12:27

Waterfall cardigan?! They are nice but not very fashion?!

Baileystruffle · 29/05/2021 13:24

Here is the Part two blouse I got and really liked

I've placed my first Stitch Fix order!
FourTurnings · 29/05/2021 14:20

That’s lovely bailey

SorryAboutTheTypos · 29/05/2021 15:38

I kept one top from my box in the end. I wasn’t 100% sure, but after taking off the styling fee it was only cheap so worth getting.

One of my tops was awful, sludge green polyester with no shape. It looked like something my granny would have worn 30 years ago. I googled it and this top has been around since at least 2019 so it’s not even that it’s a new fashion that I don’t yet understand (I’m always a late adopter to fashion, I’m still very unsure about all the baggy dresses about at the moment).

The good thing is that they’ve offered me a bonus fix with no styling fee, so hopefully with the feedback I’ve given the next box will be better.

MaryTheMiddle · 29/05/2021 15:41

Waterfall cardigan?! They are nice but not very fashion?!
It was not fashionable in any way. I don't know why they sent it to me!
SorryAboutTheTypos · 29/05/2021 15:46

I’ve also taken everyones advice and I’m now 26. Wish it was that easy to turn back the years in real life!

SorryAboutTheTypos · 29/05/2021 15:49

@MaryTheMiddle it seems odd to send something so outdated. I signed up as I have no clue about fashion and wanted to be sent things that are current to challenge me into something new. I’d imagine a lot of people are the same. I’d be very disappointed if I was sent one.
