Been thinking of trying this for a while, as I've felt in need of some style inspiration.
My parcel is due for delivery on 3rd April, but I think I get to know what's in it before that: I've said that I'd like a Spring dress for upcoming pub lunches.
Excited now.

Tbh Lookiero has annoyed me. Everything in the box was different sizes, I got my first box, sent everything back. My subscription on the website is set to "one off" yet thr site keeps saying my next box is on its way. I then clicked "cancel subscription" and it says I cannot cancel because I have a box on the way. Its been three weeks and no box has arrived. Website still says its on its way. I've emailed them now. Really annoying.

HesSpartacus · 19/05/2021 09:49

Baileystruffle I have the bottoms set from £75 or £80 (I forget which) to £120. I'm pushing 50 and cheap trousers make my bum look like a joint of beef tied up with string!!

Baileystruffle · 19/05/2021 12:26

Ah thankyou HesSpartacus, I am debating upping the price boundaries of some types of clothing on my next box so that I don't get the poor quality brands.

HesSpartacus · 19/05/2021 15:08

SallyCinnabon The idea of lying about your age to get better clothing is actually really good - I'll kep that in mind Grin

I think my first Stitch Fix box contained what a 21 year old fashion graduate thought a woman in her late 40s (i.e. positively ancient) should be wearing...

@HesSpartacus 🤣 I know! I wish I’d put 30 as my age but think my stylist would notice 🤭

I can’t find the post now but thank you to the other PPs for the tips such as deselecting certain prints I don’t want. I’ll share my box when it comes! 🙂

missmillimentscardigan · 20/05/2021 16:23

Hello, just thought I'd share my stitch fix experience as I've just received my first box. I asked for mainly casual summer pieces and a few smarter items for work. I love the concept of it - have been meaning to give it a go for a while. I selected 3 items from the preview but one of them was a modal skirt that looked quite loose-fitting so I asked whether I could try it in a smaller size. Annoyingly, this meant that I got sent the skirt twice in two different sizes, so I didn't receive 5 different items. The stylist put a note in to say that they weren't able to change the sizes of preview items. Luckily I didn't love all the other items as I wouldn't have been able to use the 20% off when you buy all 5 items.
I also got a Whistles white t shirt, a dress from Sugarhill and a green t shirt from the stitch fix brand, Editor's Cut. I chose to keep two of the items, but I might give it another go to see if it gets better.

Fallsballs · 20/05/2021 17:56

I’m due for my second stitch fix box on 3rd June. I shall post when I receive it. I am unnaturally excited and hope it’s good !

ChubbyLittleManInACampervan · 20/05/2021 21:20

Can you specify materials? Ie :” no polyester”?

ashmts · 20/05/2021 22:16

@ChubbyLittleManInACampervan

Yes you can, and you can view the items at preview to see what they're made of. I said no polyester and got a lot of viscose but that's probably cos I set a low budget.
Triffid1 · 21/05/2021 09:15

I have realised that this week I have worn at least one item from my stitch fix boxes every single day! Grin

Although having had to go into town to see a client I realised I need to ask them to send me a couple of slightly smarter pieces. A lot of what they sent me could be used in the city, but those pieces are more for winter rather than spring/summer. Might adjust my note to my stylist accordingly....!

Chrispackhamspoodle · 21/05/2021 16:03

I just got a bad box after really liking my last 3.It felt like she hadn't thought about the items I didn't choose in the preview and just slung some frumpy dresses in.Both really awful. Then a French Connection shirt which was £65,too small and static with polyester.A wierd sweatshirt and a pair of skinny jeans which did nothing for me and not my style.Thing is I went into London yesterday and can go shopping again so I've cancelled my box and will go to Zara and Other Stories instead .

Acunningruse · 21/05/2021 16:07

Absolutely loved my last stitch fix, kept all 5 items and have worn the items week in week out except the trousers which are now a teensy bit snug-. I placed an order last week with two specific requests- new jeans and a cropped style cardigan. I've just done the preview and am hugely underwhelmed- a pair of jeans which is £90 so above the parameters I had set in the account; a grey waterfall cardigan my 70 year old mother might wear, a £50 plain white t shirt and two other random items. Fingers crossed it's better when it arrives!

WhyDoesItAlways · 22/05/2021 23:29

Had my 2nd box this week. 3 tops, loved the look of 2 of them but hated the third. Tried them in and ended up loving the one I hated and not liking the 2 I thought I'd like!

Had another jumpsuit but was not flattering on me. And a pair of colouttes (sp?) which were average but expensive so they're going back.

So just the 1 item in this box. Not as happy as with my first so asked for another stylist.

£25 code if anyone wants www.stitchfix.co.uk/invite/jzggcnzbzf?pbid=10691770&sod=a&som=c

MaryTheMiddle · 22/05/2021 23:44

I've got one coming next week. Will see how it goes! I'm quite a difficult shape to dress and my size varies between shops and garments, (as I think is the case with a lot of people).

Dellabob123 · 24/05/2021 12:17

I cancelled my stitch fix order after the two jinxes and decided to try lookerio...just to see 😊

And if anyone wants a discount link, this is mine

EachandEveryone · 24/05/2021 15:27

Oh goid luck let me know the outcome😃

Loopy9 · 24/05/2021 18:43

@SallyCinnabon love the tip about lying about age! I’m going to do it

I’ve had my preview, declined 8 items Shock I’ve literally written a list of what I don’t want and given my Pinterest board.

So my 5th box is due Wednesday, I’ll take a picture and share. I’ve specifically said no culottes or navy (have way too much navy) fingers crossed.

@Triffid1 and @FourTurnings after my last box I bought a Part Two top from this place; www.restorationyard.com/ it arrived beautifully wrapped, sadly it didn’t fit and I’ve returned it, all refunded etc. Stitch fix sent me a dress and I liked the top part, realised on Part Two that there was a top version of the dress & then did some serious web searching!! Good luck

FourTurnings · 24/05/2021 18:55

Okay thanks loopy I will check them out. I want to buy from Part Two now that Stitchfix have introduced me to them but am keen to avoid that UK import duty 😀

FourTurnings · 24/05/2021 18:57

I wore hard-to-toe Lookierio out to lunch on Saturday and felt really good - this way of shopping is working for me as a supplement to my ordinary shopping so I’m hoping it will continue to be good!

Fallsballs · 24/05/2021 20:34

Dear god, I’m still in shock - just got my preview and it was disappointing.
2 incredibly dull boat-necked tops in ridged polyester (in peach and blue - yum), jeans at £150 and hello - waterfall cardi and flowery polyester fluttery sleeved monstrosities. Not Zara style but old lady style.
I’m scared of what will be in that box. Stylist obviously ignored my comments and price point. Think I’ve lucked out (again).

Loopy9 · 24/05/2021 20:38

@Fallsballs fingers crossed, I declined most in my last box (so disappointed) however a gorgeous jumper arrived along with a gorgeous pair of pumps so I was happy. The preview this time was the same, so I’ve got my fingers crossed for something good!

MaryTheMiddle · 24/05/2021 20:54

I've just seen what they've sent me as it's been despatched!

I love the look of two out of five things; Aldo sandals, a blouse from a brand called Samsoe Samsoe which I'd never heard of. I also quite like the look of the blouse, and a pair of shorts from Oasis. I also got a waterfall cardi and a dress, which I don't like the look of but will withold judgement etc.

FourTurnings · 24/05/2021 21:41

MarytheMiddle I’ve had a look at Samsoe Samsoe since reading your post; it’s a Scandi brand, looks fab, nice price point too.

MaryTheMiddle · 26/05/2021 10:04

I got my fix (sounds dodgy Grin).

The shoes aren't right. They show too much hoof for my liking. Also not my colour - too bright.

The Samsøe Samsøe blouse was nice but TEENY on me. Barely fastened!

I got a waterfall cardi which I dislike and a dress which is just too casual for me.

Only keeping one thing! The shorts from Oasis. They are great.

FourTurnings · 27/05/2021 19:51

I’ve had my preview (Stitchfix) and despite having said I want a complete surprise, I caved and chose a selection of items for them to send. They have definitely listened to my requests. The items look fab - just hope they’re as good in flesh!
