Been thinking of trying this for a while, as I've felt in need of some style inspiration.
My parcel is due for delivery on 3rd April, but I think I get to know what's in it before that: I've said that I'd like a Spring dress for upcoming pub lunches.
Excited now.

It really is very hit & miss! Hopefully they can only improve across the board.

It's so stupid that I feel mean to ask for a change of stylist. Mostly I'm curious to see the difference.

OrigamiParrot · 13/05/2021 18:54

I received my first box today and am hugely surprised - I’m keeping all 5 items (swayed by the 20% discount - would probably have sent the shoes back otherwise, but it doesn’t feel worth it).

I got some navy cropped chinos, a linen blend long cardigan, lovely high neck top, fit and flare day dress, and some silver Superga trainers. None were things I’d have chosen for myself, but really surprised by how much I like them on.

I got a give £25, get £25 code when I checked out - so if anyone fancies giving it a go, here’s a link:

Triffid1 · 14/05/2021 10:13

@FourTurnings It's a very pretty, floaty blouse. A cream colour with green leaves in a very delicate patterns and a v neck - quite deep.

Dellabob123 · 14/05/2021 10:31

I bailed and just kept the dress...next box in June

FourTurnings · 14/05/2021 18:10

sounds gorgeous Triffid. Part Two make some fabulous blouses.

crumblypie · 14/05/2021 22:24

Just had my 2nd box. Lovely pair of jeans and a top to go with. Another top that was nice but more for work (and I'm wfh) so that will be going back.

Still very happy so far.

SallyCinnabon · 14/05/2021 22:55

The first box I got was very frumpy and too old for me. I’m late 30s but my Mum wouldn’t even wear some of those fabrics/styles. Maybe I should bump my age down a bit to get trendier stuff, not paisley sacks.

Got my next box in a couple weeks so will see what it’s like.

crumblypie · 14/05/2021 23:04

have you been doing the thumbs up/ thumbs down thing? they show you different clothes and you vote yes or no.

You also get to preview now. I didn't like my preview this time so gave them feedback and said send something she. I've been really pleased with my stylist so far.

Be honest in your feedback so they know it's not for you

SallyCinnabon · 14/05/2021 23:11

Hi @crumblypie yes avidly since the last box so hopefully I get a better selection. Ahh can you just veto the whole preview? I thought you had to choose 5 😊

crumblypie · 14/05/2021 23:13

yep you can just not select any and they'll choose something different. Then you get to write some notes so I explained in there why I didn't like the preview (colours were wrong etc)

Baconking · 16/05/2021 11:38

[quote HesSpartacus]OrigamiParrot glad it worked for you - here's hoping...

P.S. These are the awful trousers - the elastic really clung to my leg, too:

I actually quite like the look of those trousers but £75!!!
Shock

Baileystruffle · 16/05/2021 12:59

HesSpartacus do you mind if I ask what price range you put to get trousers that are £75?
I have chosen the cheapest price ranges but am wondering if I should increase it to get better stuff. I don't mind paying more if its something decent (Boden quality for example is way better then 'Only' quality which is what I'm being given...) but am concerned if I up the price ranges I'll only get given the expensive stuff whereas I'd prefer a mix.

Lan2020 · 16/05/2021 20:06

After reading all your experiences, I've placed my first Stitch fix order. I love clothes and love the idea of having things choose for me. I've seen a preview (accidentally when logging into my account) and in fairness I liked all items, however I've selected 3 because I'm not as sure about some of the others. In fairness, i probably shouldn't have looked because I want to try things I wouldn't usually pick. I have seen quite a few items on their Facebook page and would maybe like to request some.of them, has anyone done this?

Also, please can I share my link so we can both get £15 off

Lan2020 · 16/05/2021 20:07

@Baileystruffle I don't know much about the process as I only signed up yesterday but I mentioned the price range in my comments to the stylist, as I was willing to pay more for a dress than a top and didn't want to be sent tops over £100!

Triffid1 · 17/05/2021 10:11

@FourTurnings

sounds gorgeous Triffid. Part Two make some fabulous blouses.
Expensive though! I didn't actually clock the price (yes, I'm an idiot). It was £56!!! For a bit of floaty chiffon!? I still love it though!
lockdownalli · 17/05/2021 14:45

@SallyCinnabon you can exclude specific patterns like paisley when you set your account up. You can go back in and change it.

I am sitting here feeling Very Twitchy. My delivery is due next Monday but I still haven't had my preview I checked and the previous two times I had previews it was 7 - 10 days before.

Has anyone else had a preview really close to their delivery date?

FourTurnings · 17/05/2021 17:48

They are expensive triffid and if you order from them directly you get clobbered for the UK duty too (if you spend over a certain amount) 😳

Triffid1 · 17/05/2021 18:07

So I should not go browse their website.... this is what you're telling me? Grin
FourTurnings · 17/05/2021 20:40

Just look out for the duty!
Or find an English stockist who covers the cost of the tax 😀

Candleabra · 17/05/2021 20:51

I've cancelled my subscription. It started off rather well, then the last few boxes have been a pile of crap. I'm frustrated by their complete failure to read feedback or requests. It's a great idea, they're very well organised (delivery/returns very easy), but I'm just not prepared to keep spending £10 for awful clothes.

Baileystruffle · 17/05/2021 21:02

I got my second box today. I ended up buying a part two sleeveless blouse too- I thought it was decent quality and had a lovely pattern.
They sent me a dress from 'Only' which while looked nice, felt very cheap and the buttons kept popping undone.
Another dress which was lovely but too small- perfect in the next size up if I had a wedding to go to but I sadly don't.
A jumpsuit which was horrific and another top I wasn't keen on.
Its hard- I love the things I have bought but some things are definite misses.
I've asked them to never send me jumpsuits. I will give them another go as I think they will improve as the learn more about my style and fit. Some things are spot on.

Here is my code again if anyone fancies a try (£15 off for us both)

I've also just ordered my first Stitch Fix box. Due next week. I just did my preview and wasn't blown away tbh, but we'll see! Fingers crossed.
