I saw these lists online but I'm not sure I agree with all of them :

Famous Summers
The Queen. Yes
Duchess of Cambridge. Not sure
Jennifer Aniston. ?
Jenny Agutter
Helen Mirren. Probably
Samantha Cameron
Saoirse Ronan
Grace Kelly ?

Famous Springs
Meg Ryan. Yes
Nicole Kidman - perhaps Autumn
Marilyn Munroe. Summer I think
Goldie Hawn Yes
Cameron Diaz. Yes
Gwyneth Paltrow Summer perhaps
Siena Millar. Yes
Mary Berry Summer perhaps
Reese Witherspoon. Yes

I can't remember where I got the list.
For those of you interested in Seasonal Colour Analysis, what do you think ?

What happens when hair goes grey like the queen? Would you change seasons?
I’ve never had it done professionally but I can’t decide between winter and a spring. I have dark brown hair and blue eyes.

Titsywoo · 13/02/2021 20:58

I'm winter (had colours done a few years ago). I'm not what you expect for a winter (I have dark blonde hair and grey blue eyes). I would have thought Kate Middleton would be a winter.

Mixingitall · 13/02/2021 21:16

I had my colours done a while ago, and I’m a late Summer. Kate Middleton wears all of the colours that were recommended to me for late Summer.

LadyTiredWinterBottom2 · 13/02/2021 21:32

True summer. Same as Kate Middleton.

frugalkitty · 13/02/2021 21:54

I'm a summer. The Queen is a winter I think.
Your season doesn't change with age or going grey, but you can change sub season which is why it's worth having a re-rate after a while because although you can wear all the colours in your season, your wow colours can change.

CeeceeBloomingdale · 13/02/2021 21:57

I'm a cool winter but since my hair has gone grey I need a softer winter pallet whereas it used to be more jewel colours. I still need cool tones though.

User2941 · 13/02/2021 21:59

I have brown hair and brown eyes and freckles. Always assumed I was Autumn because of freckles but those warm autumn colours are not my best. Thought I was warm Spring but that wasn't working either.. Then thought I was sultry Winter but the Palette is overpowering. Found a site called Your Colour Style which is less restrictive than seasons and realised I am, in this order, Deep, Cool, Soft and then found my season 'home' in brown Summer. I also asked DM if she thought I suited deep, darker colours or summer ones like lilac and she said that latter as they show off my 'lovely hair' or something like that, as mums tend to say!

Gillybobs · 13/02/2021 22:30

Mary Berry is the most perfect example of a spring I've ever seen. Those eyes! Summers tend to have softer eye colour, Springs are usually piercing

onlyconnect · 13/02/2021 22:43

I've never done colours before but found this

it seems prefer good to me. I'm a deep winter and the colours they show are the ones I like to wear.

Mellonsprite · 13/02/2021 22:50

That’s helpful @onlyconnect I’m a cool winter according to that.

Otherplans · 13/02/2021 23:04

Are there any definite tipping point colours eg. If you suit navy you must be/not be x?

CeeceeBloomingdale · 13/02/2021 23:04

I always come out as a cool and/or clear winter which I agree are the closest matches but I can wear warmer shades well, such as peach, coral, khaki. Coral and peachy nude work so well for me but should be my worst colours according to the charts. I find winter to be dominated by shades of pink which don't suit me so well and I hate pink so never wear it. It's rather confusing.

grassisjeweled · 14/02/2021 01:19

I'm either a cool or a deep winter. Really suit emerald, raspberry, teal, bright white, midnight blue, turquoise, purple and Steel Grey.

Nice link 👍

grassisjeweled · 14/02/2021 01:23

There does seem to be a lot of anomalies about this though - I'd suit bright coral, for example, but it's not in my palette, apparently

DramaAlpaca · 14/02/2021 01:25

That link confirms what the colour analysis I had years ago said - I'm a cool summer.

Flickoffboris · 14/02/2021 01:41

As an autumn I'd be interested to see who they had on their list for autumn (and winter). Have you a link / list OP?

LadyEloise · 14/02/2021 01:44

Sorry I don't have a link to Autumn or Winter as I was trying to find out was I a Summer or a Spring.

BusterGonad · 14/02/2021 03:00

I'm a cool winter, dark hair, Hazel eyes, fair rosey skin and freckles. I love wearing navy, charcoal greys, pinks, khaki, reds, purples and greens. I do not suit sludgy browns, terracottas, mustard colours. Make wise anything goes really except oranges and orange browns.

Ginfordinner · 14/02/2021 09:01

I had my colours done in 1987 and was told I was winter. I then had them done just before Christmas 2019 and the HOC analyst confirmed that I was still winter. Colour analysis had come a long way in the intervening 32 years, so I am now a jewel winter. The colours and charts on the link just don't match up to the HOC colours for me.

I have brown eyes, greying hair dark hair and pale, cool toned skin, so the link just doesn't make sense for me.

BallsToYouSue · 14/02/2021 09:05

Never had it done, but I think I'm a warm spring. A lot like Nicole Kidman's colouring. I ignore all the advice and wear black with gay abandon mwahahaha!

Florial · 14/02/2021 09:10

I'm not quite sure if I'm Autumn or Winter. Similar colouring to Kate Bush.
I too ignore the advice and wear black when in doubt.

Deathraystare · 14/02/2021 16:25

I am sure I am a clear spring. I don't suit much brown. I would love to have my colours done. However, if they say I was an Autumn and suit shades of pumpkin I would have to kill them....

RosesAndHellebores · 14/02/2021 16:36

I had my colours done in about 1990 and was a deep summer, according to link I've morphed into a deep winter!

funtimefrank · 14/02/2021 18:17

I was a paintbox spring when I was done a few years ago. I have a neutral skin tone, grey/green eyes and mousy hair so in no way obvious. I need a lot of contrast and suit warm pinks, coral, warm greens and turquoise blues. My best neutral is chocolate brown but can also manage a teal and a bottle green so a bit of autumn too.

I did dds based on that link. My ice blond Dd2 who has the bluest eyes ever is a clear deep winter and my honey blonde hazel eyed dd1 is a spring.

LadyEloise · 14/02/2021 19:32

I still can't figure out whether I'm warm or cool toned. Sometimes my veins are green, sometimes blue 🙄
