I saw these lists online but I'm not sure I agree with all of them :

Famous Summers
The Queen. Yes
Duchess of Cambridge. Not sure
Jennifer Aniston. ?
Jenny Agutter
Helen Mirren. Probably
Samantha Cameron
Saoirse Ronan
Grace Kelly ?

Famous Springs
Meg Ryan. Yes
Nicole Kidman - perhaps Autumn
Marilyn Munroe. Summer I think
Goldie Hawn Yes
Cameron Diaz. Yes
Gwyneth Paltrow Summer perhaps
Siena Millar. Yes
Mary Berry Summer perhaps
Reese Witherspoon. Yes

I can't remember where I got the list.
For those of you interested in Seasonal Colour Analysis, what do you think ?

I'm a cool autumn apparently. I wear a lot of purple and dark blue.

Sep21mum · 28/02/2021 18:25

I know a few women who have used Heather Noakes too www.instagram.com/heathernoakes/?hl=en

Chewbecca · 28/02/2021 18:37

I’ve had mine done & I am a deep summer, so best in the darker colours in the summer range. I’m always told I look well when wearing my best colours.

I’ve got light brown hair (mousy?), skin which burns then tans but reddens easily and speckly, hazel eyes so am a fairly classic summer.

To a PP who wanted cool eye colours, I like this Dior backstage cool neutrals. There are some good YouTube posts about how to wear them too.

Sep21mum · 28/02/2021 18:41

To those worrying about particular neutrals in seasons and saying it doesnt suit them ignore that colour. Its possible you would be recommended other neutrals in the palette. My aunt is a winter but can't wear black near her face, for example.

Wiredforsound · 28/02/2021 18:55

Anyone beginning to think this is a load of wibble pseudoscience? Wear what you like.

Sep21mum · 01/03/2021 11:57

It's closer to art in my view than science @wiredfoesound There's no rule though that says you have to either read the thread one follow the advice. If you aren't interested in colour thats as much your choice as it is mine to be. Not everyone is interested in seeing the difference the right colours make but I can tell you some people will look crap for wearing colours just because the colours are in season. I've saved so much money since knowing my colours as I know what clothes work for me

And of course people who have been draped can still wear other colours if they want. Perhaps their analysis was wrong. But for many like me knowing your right colours just makes things click and most of all I really enjoy playing with colours. It's not offending or impacting your life is it? No then good. Have a nice life.

Volcanoexplorer · 01/03/2021 21:31

I don’t think it’s a load of ‘wibble’ at all. I’d absolutely love to know what season I am to help me dress better. But I can’t figure it out. A previous poster suggested clear spring and I think this could be the one, but I’m not sure I’m warm toned enough (but I think I’m warmer than a winter)

Sep21mum · 01/03/2021 23:51

Could you be a sprinter winter @volcano?

CruCru · 02/03/2021 00:12

Meh. It isn’t essential that I know my colours. Very little on the S&B board is essential. However this has kept me amused for a few minutes.

I still think I’m a deep autumn. Even though I have blue / grey eyes.

LadyEloise · 02/03/2021 19:10

On the Fitzpatrick Skin Type scale I would be Skin Type 2 , but unlike that one I would eventually tan. Pale eyes and blonde hair. So which would you think Spring or Summer ?

LadyEloise · 07/03/2021 11:02

Anyone ?

Pinkywoo · 07/03/2021 12:00

@LadyEloise is your hair golden blonde or ash? This page has a very handy chart which would suggest if golden you're a light Spring, if ash then a light Summer.

I had my colours done when I was in my teens, a friend and I acted as models for a friend’s mum who was a colour consultant. I came out as a Winter, with blue-grey eyes, pale cool skin and dark hair. Now I’m silver haired and there are more colour categories, I come out as True Winter. Those colours have always suited me well, I am not a fan of pastels though.

LadyEloise · 07/03/2021 16:34

Pinkywoo I was blonde as a child, then mousy then blonde highlights (hairdressers said it took ages for the colour to lift because there was a bit of red in my hair). Now blonde highlights and lowlights but also, due to lockdown I've a fair bit of grey too. Confused
I'm definitely light spring or summer.

So a light Spring/Summer?!

LadyEloise · 07/03/2021 17:42

Yes. Thank you for your help.

This is really interesting. I have brown hair, dark brown eyes and pale skin that burns. I always thought I was autumn and have worn mushy greens, brown colours thinking they must suit me as my eyes are brown.
I got a load of old clothes out the attic and have this denim dress I have hardly worn, well I put the mirror by the window and held it to my face and my face suddenly lit up! I never wear blue. I'm I interested to know what season I can be with pale pinky skin but dark eyes ?

kerkyra · 07/03/2021 17:52

I was blonde/ white hair until about 8yr old

TheIceTree · 07/03/2021 18:17

I've done a few different quizzes/flowcharts and so far have come out with:
Light spring
Classic summer
Soft summer
Soft autumn

So my conclusion is it's a waste of time trying to work this out from a website if you're a bit mixed/in between categories.

kerkyra · 07/03/2021 18:39

I'm going around the house taking pictures of my face against the different coloured walls. Sage just washes me out. Blush pink is working though..wish I'd known this sooner

You might be a Summer!
WindFlower92 · 08/03/2021 07:10

I'm getting different outcomes on different websites! I would assume I'm Autumn as those kind of colours do seem to suit me...I've got auburn hair, green eyes and very pale skin that will never tan. Definitely feel my veins are blue in all lights. What am I?

Chewbecca · 09/03/2021 15:33

Kerkyra, your colouring sounds like mine & I am a deep summer. I should wear cool, deep, muted colours. I wear mostly pinks, greens, blues mostly but muted versions of them - denim and muted mid blues are perfect.

That sounds more spring to me?
