I saw these lists online but I'm not sure I agree with all of them :

Famous Summers
The Queen. Yes
Duchess of Cambridge. Not sure
Jennifer Aniston. ?
Jenny Agutter
Helen Mirren. Probably
Samantha Cameron
Saoirse Ronan
Grace Kelly ?

Famous Springs
Meg Ryan. Yes
Nicole Kidman - perhaps Autumn
Marilyn Munroe. Summer I think
Goldie Hawn Yes
Cameron Diaz. Yes
Gwyneth Paltrow Summer perhaps
Siena Millar. Yes
Mary Berry Summer perhaps
Reese Witherspoon. Yes

I can't remember where I got the list.
For those of you interested in Seasonal Colour Analysis, what do you think ?

This is so surprising to me! I gravitate towards more autumn colours and have been told I suit them, yet all the links on here point to clear winter. I have pale blue eyes, ashy medium brown hair, fair cool skin that flushes easily and a few freckles. Black washes me out though.

frugalkitty · 12/03/2021 16:14

Toria what you describe in your last post sounds like a Summer, you've used ashy and cool, both summer words. It may be that your the 'warmer' end of the summer palette, ie a brown summer (house of colour description) which is why you might feel a crossover with autumn although if you're summer you're cool/pink based not warm/yellow based like an autumn.

@frugalkitty wow thanks - you're absolutely right! It suddenly makes sense. I thought I had more contrasting colours that would make me a cool winter but that's wrong, I'm more low contrast which makes me more of a soft summer. When I opened my wardrobe I had next to nothing in the cool winter pallette, but loads in the soft summer. And soft summer says no black - which I've lived by for years!

@Toriathebadger
Could you please do a link for me in Light Summer and Light Spring like you did for Cool Winter and Soft Summer.
I tried to do it but was unable to get the link.

Yes, I'm a bit between the 2. When I had CMB done in the late 80s I was Spring flowing into Summer but some of those Summer colours on last pic were in the Spring palate like the violet

I've started to have doubts as my hair is now grey but when I was younger it was light brown. I think my foundation is ivory

TallulahBetty · 13/03/2021 17:31

Following with interest. I think I'm a summer, probably soft summer, but I tan easily. That always confuses me

frugalkitty · 16/03/2021 15:39

Toria the contrast thing can be tricky because the summer palette isn't all faded/wishy washy like some people think, we have some strong colours too like jade, cherry red, amethyst, raspberry. Some of these can be hard to place, but next to true winter colours they will be softer....think raspberry next to fuschia for an example. If you're not sure if a colour is right for summer, put it next to a colour that you know is right, this helps you get your eye in,

Toriathebadger · 23/03/2021 14:13

Thanks @frugalkitty that makes sense. I'm trying to put it all into practice, so that's really good advice.

LadyEloise · 31/05/2021 13:49

Can you be a Summer if you are fair, your skin goes red ( burns ) and then goes brown and you have freckles ?
Can you be a Spring if your hair isn't red or strawberry blonde ?

I've been analysed under the tonal system - I'm soft light warm. So my dominant characteristic is soft. I've got neutral skin, grey-blue eyes with beige flecks and dark blonde/honey coloured hair. I wear pretty much all the colours in my palette except the pink. I don't like pink at all! I don't live my life by it, and still wear black as I like the contrast with my hair. Today I'm wearing white jeans and a periwinkle top 🙂
