I saw these lists online but I'm not sure I agree with all of them :

Famous Summers
The Queen. Yes
Duchess of Cambridge. Not sure
Jennifer Aniston. ?
Jenny Agutter
Helen Mirren. Probably
Samantha Cameron
Saoirse Ronan
Grace Kelly ?

Famous Springs
Meg Ryan. Yes
Nicole Kidman - perhaps Autumn
Marilyn Munroe. Summer I think
Goldie Hawn Yes
Cameron Diaz. Yes
Gwyneth Paltrow Summer perhaps
Siena Millar. Yes
Mary Berry Summer perhaps
Reese Witherspoon. Yes

I can't remember where I got the list.
For those of you interested in Seasonal Colour Analysis, what do you think ?

I would love to know, but the courses are just too expensive. I feel like I don’t fit into any one category completely. I’ve got blue/green eyes, but they’re fairly pale(ish) not piercing, neutral undertones (veins a mixture of blue and green), fair skin (Bobbi Brown cool ivory) and can burn easily if not careful but will tan, dark brown hair that has slightly reddish undertone in some lights, freckles in summer. Wish I could figure it out.

goose1964 · 14/02/2021 21:00

One direcT used mentioned that some people are a neutral, they tend to have place skin, eyes and hair. Saying that I'm neither spring or autumn, some of the stronger spring and brighter autumn suit me best. Today I'm wearing a pale green dress yet I also look good in mustard and pumpkin.

PerfidiousAlbion · 14/02/2021 21:08

Spring.

It's quite inconvenient as all the clothes for the last five years have been Autumn colours (brown, deep green, olive, mustard, deep red etc.)

I hate the fact that my recommended colours are 'jaunty' and have 'pops' of colour.

I want to skulk around wearing black and a frown.

funtimefrank · 14/02/2021 21:19

@Volcanoexplorer, that's my colouring except my hair sounds a bit lighter.

Before I went in I thought I'd be a summer or an autumn because I thought I was quite muted but it turns out i really need the contrast that you get from being a spring.

Volcanoexplorer · 14/02/2021 21:36

@funtimefrank thanks. Yes I’d thought maybe summer or autumn too. Think my problem is the combination of lightish eyes but dark hair. I’m off to have a good look at spring colouring.

Volcanoexplorer · 14/02/2021 22:10

Think my hair is too dark for spring. Hope you manage to figure out your colouring OP.

RosesAndHellebores · 14/02/2021 22:19

The stumbling block for me is that I have brown eyes and tan very easily. But my veins are very blue and the undertones are pink. Add in the ashy brown hair and I get the deep winter. And I can't wear brown, beige, yellow, orange, tan, gold.......... Funnily enough dd who is blonde, blue eyed, green veined and tans lightly can.

Tomcullenisahero · 14/02/2021 22:19

Ive never heard of these categories before. I would be very interested to find out what I am, I'm off to Google!

LongIslandIcedT · 14/02/2021 22:33

I'm a deep and warm Autumn which I've learned to love.
Until I had my colours done I was wearing Winter colours which I can now see were completely wrong.

funtimefrank · 14/02/2021 22:34

When I did my session there were 4 of us and 3 were springs. I was the middle in terms of hair colour and one lady was at least 2 shades darker than me but with chestnut hair. The blond lady was a 'blue' spring which apparently is close to neutral. She suited both gold and silver jewellery for example.

Also we were told that there was a shade in any colour which would suit us - there was no colour that someone couldn't wear apparently. So it doesn't always follow that if you can't wear orange you must be a summer for example. Summers will have an orange somewhere. Oh and everyone can wear true red.

That said, we got given our best colours. I suits spring shades of pinks, greens and blues (my 'gold star colours' apparently) but the orange and yellow in my colour palate did me the least favours.

In case anyone thinks I'm a walking kettlewell advert I just remember it because it was a fun birthday present my mum got me! I wear grey and navy most days....

TwoHoots74 · 14/02/2021 22:35

I'm a sweet pea summer

BlueCowWonders · 14/02/2021 22:51

@LadyEloise

I still can't figure out whether I'm warm or cool toned. Sometimes my veins are green, sometimes blue 🙄
I'm a deep summer but even knowing that I can't tell what colour my veins are! If you're not sure between spring and summer try shades of the same colour. Dusky pink or air force blue/ grey make me look good whereas a bright pink or turquoise make me look like I'm wearing someone else's clothes.
GetThePrintout · 15/02/2021 09:00

I am between a soft summer and soft autumn. IDK how to know for sure.

Zenithbear · 15/02/2021 09:13

Thanks for the link.
I'm a light summer light Ash blonde hair with some silver in it, green eyes, pale skin.
I suit heathery muted pinks, blues, greys, purples, greens, silver, pewter.
Orange, lime green, blush pink, black, pastels and brights look terrible on me.

Standrewsschool · 15/02/2021 09:31

I had an analysis done a year ago and got analysed an Autumn.

Explains why the two lovely black tops I had, because’ black goes with everything’, never got worn, as black is not in our palette.

I can never work out my vein colour either!

Standrewsschool · 15/02/2021 09:36

@Otherplans

Are there any definite tipping point colours eg. If you suit navy you must be/not be x?
Generally, there’s a shade in each colour that everyone can wear.

The exception is black - doesn’t suit Autumns. Navy is better. (Not sure which other seasons can/cannot wear black)

LadyEloise · 15/02/2021 10:05

@Volcanoexplorer
I have very similar colouring.

Otherplans · 15/02/2021 12:04

Thanks. It's all quite fascinating @Standrewsschool

Spied · 15/02/2021 12:11

I'd love my colours 'done' but I don't know where to start.
Could anyone 'do' me or give the a clue please.
I'm very cool skin tone. Very pale.
Bluey-grey eyes
Very warm hair. Can't get rid of the warm gold tones. It's currently mid-brown.

lazylinguist · 15/02/2021 12:25

I've read umpteen descriptions of the colours and have never been able to work out which one I am. Light mousy brown hair (was very blonde as a child), greeny brown eyes, pale skin with yellowish tone, no pinkness. Most bright and warm colours don't suit me. I look best in navy, cool burgundy, stony beige, cool grey, white rather than cream.

PaulHollywoodsLowHangingFruit · 15/02/2021 13:09

OK - I'll take a punt.

Spied = Bright/clear Spring

Lazy =Soft summer

SpeckledyHen · 15/02/2021 13:44

I’m Autumn Leaf . House Of Colour .

lazylinguist · 15/02/2021 13:46

Thanks @PaulHollywoodsLowHangingFruit! Will go and check that out.

lazylinguist · 15/02/2021 13:53

Last time I looked, I couldn't work out if I was more soft summer or soft autumn, but I think you're right actually!

brunetteonthebus · 15/02/2021 14:04

According to that link, Light Summer. Which is weird because I wear a lot of black and quite deep colours Confused
