I saw these lists online but I'm not sure I agree with all of them :

Famous Summers
The Queen. Yes
Duchess of Cambridge. Not sure
Jennifer Aniston. ?
Jenny Agutter
Helen Mirren. Probably
Samantha Cameron
Saoirse Ronan
Grace Kelly ?

Famous Springs
Meg Ryan. Yes
Nicole Kidman - perhaps Autumn
Marilyn Munroe. Summer I think
Goldie Hawn Yes
Cameron Diaz. Yes
Gwyneth Paltrow Summer perhaps
Siena Millar. Yes
Mary Berry Summer perhaps
Reese Witherspoon. Yes

I can't remember where I got the list.
For those of you interested in Seasonal Colour Analysis, what do you think ?

Just because you like a colour doesn't mean it's right for you

This is a great analysis for a cool undertone

LadyEloise · 17/02/2021 11:43

Gosh I thought the warm brown and the gold were nicer on the model than the grey and the silver fabrics. 😩

I have natural dark brown/grey hair, that used to get red highlights in the sun (before it started going grey). Bright grey blue eyes, skin pale but some red and yellow undertones, although my arms and face are now a different colour to the rest of me, year round, and I'm much darker all over than I was 10 years ago. I'm a bit freckly all over, generally, but during summer my face gets loads.

Purple or purple pink lipstick looks way more natural on me, than any other colour, including nude colours. I think black suits me, and white but also greys, greens, purples and pinks. Red too, but it can make me look flushed. I don't think I suit browns, oranges or yellows at all.

Every time I take one of those quizes, I get a different result.

Not me, but I have this sort of look (minus most of the freckles during the winter).

With that much contrast @goodqueen I would bet you were a winter or a type of spring

2021manu · 17/02/2021 12:00

If your skin is quite cool, and blue based you'll be a winter. This models skin looks warm.

2021manu · 17/02/2021 12:02

@ladyeloise look at which colours add shape to her face, make her skin look clearer, remove dark shadows from under eyes. I think you are looking at the wrong criteria. Sorry

2021manu · 17/02/2021 12:02

Kate is definitely a summer, Helen Mirren is a winter

littlepeas · 17/02/2021 19:55

Just found a video by the you tube woman posted above talking about eye patterns! More confused than ever.

I reckon I’m going to have to pay someone if I want to know for certain - I can’t work it out myself!

2020nymph · 17/02/2021 20:03

I'm a cool summer.

On a side note, can anyone recommend an eyeshadow pallet for a cool summer?

2020nymph · 17/02/2021 20:04

I used Emily Innes from Style Me Happy, really pleased with it, she did my body shape too and suggested clothes/lipstick that would suit me.
twilightcafe · 17/02/2021 20:15

I have the same colouring as the model in the video, and I am a cool winter. Gold, orange and brown make me look washed out

toffee1000 · 17/02/2021 21:35

I’ve done online quizzes and always come out as an autumn. Except I hate brown and khaki, they’re such drab colours! There are also very few, if any, blues in the autumn palette and I’ve been told I suit blue.
I also can’t really tell what colours suit someone else.
Obviously doing an online quiz isn’t the same as an in-person analysis, but they’re expensive so...

Standrewsschool · 18/02/2021 08:44

@toffee1000 - I find rust better than brown

autumn colours

PaulHollywoodsLowHangingFruit · 18/02/2021 10:05

toffee- what is your colouring like and your three best colours?

littlepeas · 18/02/2021 13:59

This thread has been eye opening! After thinking I was a soft summer or a soft autumn for years, I think I might actually be a spring, although not sure whether I'd be light or warm (def not clear), but I suspect light spring, which is a shock! I've been wearing largely the wrong colours for years!

LadyEloise · 21/02/2021 12:50

I still can't figure out whether I'm a Spring or Summer.
I can't wear lilac as it "washes me out" but I can wear most of the colours recommended for those two seasons.

littlepeas · 21/02/2021 13:31

Ha! I’ve changed my mind again but didn’t post as didn’t want to be annoying!

The only season I can completely rule out is winter. It’s really hard to determine my undertone - I seem to be warmer than all the examples given for cool, but cooler than the warm ones! Grin

Volcanoexplorer · 21/02/2021 13:38

This is me too! The only one I can rule out is Autumn. I’ve given up trying to decide. Think clear spring could possibly be the best match, but not 100% convinced I’m warm enough. I’ve definitely got mixtures of different seasons.

QueenPaw · 21/02/2021 13:40

Not a clue. I'm a cool toned redhead and people haven't been able to place me

Howmanysleepsnow · 21/02/2021 13:42

I can’t remember what I am! It’s the same as Rachel Stevens though... does anyone know what she is?

supadupapupascupa · 21/02/2021 13:43

We don't fit neatly into boxes. I had a draping which (correctly) placed me in deep autumn. However one of the wow colours is meant to be sunset orange. And I was told never, nope, awful.
Having had a custom pallet done since I understand more! I am indeed deep autumn, but I am on the cool end (often called blue autumn. I don't look good in anything with too much heat in it. By very best colours contain a splattering of spring summer and winter, but is predominantly autumn. All rich and deep. I have low contrast which you would assume is high!
It's highly individual but the method you are looking at should give you ballpark at least

happytobemrsg · 21/02/2021 14:01

I was first analysed as an Autumn. I was thrilled because I have always been drawn to autumnal colours - muted greens, mustard, burnt orange. Although I loved the colours, a lot of the the more muted colours did nothing for me - yet I look great in hot pinks, black or white. I’ve since been reanalysed and I’m a deep winter which I 100% agree with. I prefer the analysis which split each season into a further 3 categories as I think it’s more accurate (as a deep winter, I have a winter colouring but more towards the Autumn end of the scale).

happytobemrsg · 21/02/2021 14:03

Agree with PP - Emily Innes is fab

Pinkywoo · 21/02/2021 20:32

Having looked at all the links I think I'm a deep winter, but feel free to correct me if not! I have very pale neutral skin, navy blue eyes that look black most of the time and light ash blonde hair (natural). I tend to suit navy, dark green, burgundy, deep raspberry and black, I look awful in pastels and any blue lighter than navy, what do you think?
