Hello all Toasties , a new Toast thread for us to discuss clothes and life..

ScottishMouse shame you are sending back.. what did you order? Also did you get an option of a post office label as well as a QR code? Im not very techie! Does it go back to same address as previously?

Long time lurker, first time caller here. Just to reassure a PP, I ordered a pair of Novestas last Friday, and they arrived this morning (not uber speedy, but not TOO bad). Anyway, I LOVE THEM. They are perfect in every way. I want to order more, but it looks as if they’re out of my size in every colour way already. Do you Toast experts know if they’re likely to restock over the summer, or is that just IT? Do you find the in-real-life shops carry stock that the website doesn’t?

@Laska2Meryls, yes there was an option to print a label. The qr code is super easy though too, just show it at the post office, they scan it and print the label for you.
I ordered quite a few things, want to hear about them all? Ok...
Stripe cotton Alix trousers - love the Alix shape, I have a few pairs, but just didn’t love the fabric. It was a bit stiff and the navy was a bit bright.
Green linen trousers - would have preferred something more tapered, too wide for me as I am super short.
New circle shape tee - I ordered all three colours, and am keeping the dark grey. The white was horrible, it just looked dirty. And the green was awful on me, though a nice colour for someone else. The tee is an interesting shape, and I like the cuffed sleeves and shape of the neckline (round neck but not as high as the boy tee). It’s super pricey for a plain tshirt, but I am happy to pay it for something really good and a bit different, I find it hard to find great tees.
Woven mules - tiny. I ordered my regular size but my feet were hanging a few inches out of the back. They also felt a bit flimsy for the price, so I wouldn’t reorder in the bigger size.

Paula that's good! , maybe our orders just got caught in the change over!

scottishmouse I was thinking of ordering the woven mules also, so interesting to hear your thoughts.. What size are you normally? I did wonder if I should id size up , but yes £££ if they are not that good quality , (maybe I wont bother.. ) Still no refund news! Although they took delivery of them back on Saturday Hmm If nothing tomorrow ill be back moaning at them again ..

@Laska2Meryls I am a 5, but sometimes wear a 5.5 or 6 for width as my feet are wide. But I can definitely wear a 5 in sandals and shoes with an open toe or back. The mules were wide enough but really short in length.

@PaulaPennyfeather thank you that is reassuring- Hopefully they have got their act together as I am really not very good at waiting. Although the weather seems to have suddenly changed two seasons in a day here, it was 18° here earlier and I was basking in the garden looking forward to wearing new sandals. Then a sea fret came in and it dropped 8° in the space of half an hour. Looks like I won't be needing sandals anytime soon!

I’ve just had an email from Toast welcoming me to membership of the Kindred Club, offering pre sale previews and confirmation of the continuation of my Post Pass . Anyone else ? Seems like they are moving forward with their new systems . Just want standard delivery times speeded up !

Yes me too @Gonegrey31 - I work in marketing and can only imagine the headaches they’re going through with a new website! Glad to see they know who I am though - although wherever possible I’m going to order Toast from JL because the whole thing is so much easier, especially with click and collect. Not planning on ordering anything full price though, so hope a sale happens soon!

Thanks for the tip @Countmeout. Just watched it, nice. I wonder what the trousers and matching jacket/shirt that the dark haired model is wearing at the end are. I can’t seem to see them online.
Love that 50s style headband that the same model wore with the batik dress. It would look ridiculous on me, but have you seen the price....oh my word!!

I agree, the headband is stunning and it's far too expensive, thankfully it would also look ridiculous on me.

I've also been invited to the new site blah blah blah.

But I wanted to say, my skirts arrived! So, ordered on the 25th, delivered by Royal Mail today I printed a free return label and posted one of them back. I always knew it was too expensive but I wanted to try it in case it's ever on sale. The skirt I kept is the esme. I've wanted it for ages.

Yana shirt arrived at last, but it was huge on me, so went straight back. No invoice or order info in the bag which I dont like and had to print out the label. I think the QR code would be ok though, I will have to get used to it . But really dont like not having the option ofa paper receipt ,of my order or what I paid when it arrives, which also helps when deciding to keep ( suppose I am old fashioned that way , but it doesn't seem too much to ask ).
Anyway I won't reorder in smaller as its very like a shirt I already had from previous years.
I aldo got my refunds although that was longer than usual.
Checked out the insta tv. Not sure that I liked any of it!! The trousers and jacket at the end looked interesting though, maybe they will be in a new drop.

I really liked the Tala dress but a dress I do not need.
Interested to hear about the fit of the Fracap Eve @EllaPaella. I liked the look of them but some reviews say they’re wide, looked wide on the video too.

Actually looking again, I do really like the linen jacket.. but definitely not the price.. !! I might be tempted in the sale.

I was disappointed with the hemp dress too. It just looked far to a-line.

I really enjoyed the recent styling video and it suggests that Toast have taken on board feedback that the styling of some items isn't clear and the shapes are deliberately wide rather than poor fitting.

I have ordered the shibori shirt and the coulottes. I'll let you know what it's like!

Interested to hear what people think about what they said re the length of the trousers/culottes. I am 5’4” and I have the cashmere/ cotton culottes from the winter collection. I don’t think they’re at my ankle bone (may be deluding myself). Surely it depends on the length of your legs not your height, wouldn’t say I had long legs though.

I dont get the idea of very wide ankle length trousers/ crops. 7/8 slim ones yes Those culottes are mid calf on me. The Ashley jeans look like they are a bit too short, I dont mind rolled up jeans but thete is nothing to roll -not sure what look they are going for ? Possibly Im not very fashionable Grin

But where is mid calf? Where she said was mid calf was not where I thought it was @Templetreebalm. . I would have thought mid calf was about 4/5 inches below my knee, a length that doesn’t suit me. I am just curious what length they are on others and where mid calf is considered to be. I don’t think k they were mid calf on the model. I’ll have to look at the Ashley jeans.
