Hello all Toasties , a new Toast thread for us to discuss clothes and life..

Anyone else placed an order since the website changed over and got a despatch note yet? I ordered Tuesday and nothing yet.

I would try the online chat. For me, usually they dispatch the day after you order. I wish they did their super fast deliveries. I hate waiting! Haven't ordered anything on the new website [yet]

I ordered on Wednesday from Toast and no dispatch note yet. It may be because they are now using Shopify.. I ordered something else yesterday which also came through Shopify (a bookcase , not Toast) . But had no dispatch note from the seller , but I have just had a DPD email to say when they are delivering

I’m enjoying all your new purchases but seeing as I still haven’t worn the last ten items I bought from toast, I cannot justify any more purchases unless there’s a sale in which case all bets are off

Gah! Are they using DPD now?
DPD won’t leave parcels at my house and insist someone opens the door and they take a photo. No other delivery company does this. It’s enormously annoying when no one’s working from home. This will mean I cannot order from them anymore, the hassle factor is too high

@AuldFox - when did you last use DPD? Because they have changed their policy since Covid - you can do an electronic sign-off for the parcel now

My last DPD parcel come on Monday gone, no change in policy here, despite COVID. It’s super annoying....

It is. A monumental pain. No one is home most days.

I also deeply object to having my photo taken, complete with crows nest hair, baggy joggers and no bra. I bet they have a wall of shame somewhere with my photo on it.....

@Gonegrey31 - I have just done a big order thanks! More to collect tomorrow, but today I picked up the navy workwear jacket - am quite disappointed actually, as the pockets are really high up so you can't really put your hands in without it looking and feeling very awkward

Philippa Perry ( my new Toast style icon) was wearing the indigo A line pinafore last night on Grayson's art club .. she looked great ..

I bought the elliptical hem linen dress in the JL 20% offer.. its a bit 'beachy/ holiday' but thats where Ill be wearing it.

I’ve not had a despatch note yet either @Laska2Meryls. Very much slower than usual. I would normally expect delivery on fri/sat on a Tuesday order. I hope it’s just a hiccup.

I just noticed in the T&Cs of the website it says Standard delivery up to 10 working days

The JL elliptical linen dress,arrived and is going straight back! Very thin linen almost transparent..

Well needless to say I’ve no dispatch note either.

As an aside does anyone know how to get past paying with klarna when checking out with Cos. I have a T-shirt dress in my basket and I am stuck.

I think CoS have started just use Klarna as their card processor? I couldn’t get past it either so I just went ahead and entered my card details. The whole amount came off my card as soon as it was dispatched, and when I returned stuff, it went straight back on. No credit or delayed payment.

Klarna is fine. Lots of bad press but actually it is great and very straigh forward. If you do their pay in 30 days it actually allows you to try it on and send back. If there are any delays it allows you to pause the payment. It is fab. Only wished other shops used it.

The bad press was over people not paying their borrowing back. Nothing bad about Klarna.

Hopefully not and it is just teething issues. My parcels were great prior to the new website. They came in 48hrs.

Those of you interested in seasalt, do you know they have heavily discounted things in an Ebay account? I only only found out as a skirt I wanted was sold out in my size and googling led me there. I wasn't sure about the site, I'm not knowledgeable about how to use Ebay, but i ordered the skirt for about £24 and a dress, the things arrived today in perfect condition in seasalt packaging. The dress was one I'd tried on when it came out and I loved it but thought it was a little loud and as such might not get that much wear - it was also about £24.

Hmm Am going to talk to Toast on chat this morning, I cant see my recent order on my account .... All I had was the Shopify acknowledgement then nothing.. Has anyone else ordered since the website changed to the new one?
