Yes, that was me. The mumsnet LC bootcamp quite literally saved my life.

Countmeout · 12/03/2021 14:48

Nice jacket @ScottishMouse (had missed that post) .
The jumpsuit is beautiful definitely a keeper @ToastCosILoveIt.
Look forward to hearing about the Delave tiered dress as the linen one didn’t work for me @Templetree.

Bit cold today to be thinking of lighter weight stuff. I’m wrapped in my big scarf.

Ninkanink · 12/03/2021 14:55

@ToastCosILoveIt the jumpsuit is fab! I’m looking forward to wearing mine from Whistles this spring/summer (couldn’t fit it last year).

@ilovecherries BC is brilliant. I’m glad it changed things so dramatically for you!

Laska2Meryls · 12/03/2021 15:56

Hiya Nink yes I have retired.. End of 2019! Bought the much saved for campervan .. and then.... retirement hasn't quite been like I imagined so far.... but hopefully soon it will !
Ok so striped trousers.. oh dear 😍 love these also !! But I cant afford everything!
Baggy but in a good way, I think.
I may have to return the dress.. ( but I love that roo)🤦

Laska2Meryls · 12/03/2021 16:27

Oh bum to it.. I am keeping it all .. 🤷‍♀️😄

Ninkanink · 12/03/2021 16:30

Haha haha Laska I was going to say...I’ve had to stop ‘buying a selection and only keeping some’ because most of the time I keep it all!😆🙄

ilovecherries · 12/03/2021 17:04

Linen will be perfect for the camper van. It will just become artfully crumpled rather than creased...

AmethystMoonShine · 12/03/2021 18:32

That made me laugh @Laska2Meryls Grin

dudsville · 13/03/2021 12:09

I sometimes lurk on your toast threads. I'm really trying to do a no spend 2021..... and I've currently got 2 skirts, 1 dress and 2 trousers in a toa.st basket after having reduced it from 13 items. Damn it I wan't these things. I don't have any toast skirts, they never suit me so the reality is they probably would be returned, but most of my trousers are toast, and some of my favourite dresses. Damn damn damn. Do any of you toa.st lovers have a sense for when the next sale might be???

dudsville · 13/03/2021 12:10

Also do any of you have the viscose black and white wrap dress? I love the look of it but think that I won't like the feel of the fabric.

AmethystMoonShine · 13/03/2021 12:57

There was a sale in March last year @dudsville as I can see I bought something from my Toast account. Think it was mainly previous summer stock if I remember correctly?

dudsville · 13/03/2021 13:14

Thanks amethystmoonshine (pretty username!). I know it's unlikely that the things I want will be in the next sale but I feel I should at least wait and see!

AmethystMoonShine · 13/03/2021 14:28

There’s always a chance @dudsville! It always seems to take ages for Toast stock to make it to the sale, they often seem to bring out such a random selection in the sales! I have to be patient Grin
Nightwear seems to go in the sale at the end of season, but other things less so. Or maybe I’m dreaming it Confused

Saurus72 · 13/03/2021 16:55

Hi @dudsville I ordered that style of dress in a burgundy colour in the Winter sale (looks v similar in style) and it went straight back. My boobs just didn’t fit inside it (36dd) and the fabric was really not good - felt very synthetic and plasticky. I think the fabric on the one you like looks different (better) though. It’s a lovely looking dress.

dudsville · 13/03/2021 18:26

Saurus72, my exact fear it's that it will feel cool and plasticky - almost all my clothes are cotton or wool. I love the print and the shape but your experience of your dress is what I fear in this one.

Saurus72 · 13/03/2021 20:11

It was weird, I have a few viscose dresses from Toast which are fine but the burgundy dress put my teeth on edge. My OH said it felt like an inner tube 😬

ilovecherries · 14/03/2021 15:36

Not Toast but finally getting round to wearing the Kin sweatshirt dress I ordered in the sale after Xmas. I had actually resigned myself to it going back as it had sat unopened at home for all this time while I was away but I actually really like it. Lovely weighty, soft fabric. This is an xs.

ilovecherries · 14/03/2021 15:38

Argh. Resigned myself to it going on eBay, too late to send back. But it’s a keeper.

Saurus72 · 14/03/2021 15:48

It’s lovely - definitely not one for the returns pile!

Laska2Meryls · 14/03/2021 17:54

cherries i love that one you.. if you ever decide to ebay do pm me!!

I have spent today sorting wardrobe (s!).. Now have 3 bags of stuff to go ..
I still have enough clothes to last me for several years.. but I am now rather drawn to the Ashley jeans in plum.. Has anyone ordered them? what is the waist like? i often find Toasts fixed waists come up small

ilovecherries · 14/03/2021 18:14

I thought you had it laska? I was sure it was because of liking it on you that I bought it. It must be someone else who enabled me! It’s freezing here, so it’s very comfy and cosy. Dressed, but feels like PJs. I’m so exhausted all the time that even getting clothes on seems like an effort. Tomorrow is f it’s still as cold I am going to wear the tiered cord dress, also from Kin. I notice they have a very nice workwear jacket just now, about a third of the price of Toast. Not that I’m buying any jackets!

Fortherosesjoni70 · 14/03/2021 20:29

@ilovecherries that dress looks fab on you! It really suits your shape. Pity I don't have it. I picked up the painterly tunic dress for £22,00 in the sale. Its very nice and much more muted that I thought, which I like.
I also ordered the white toast tunic from John Lewis. It is beautiful but a huge mistake sizing down in this instance. I have had to send it back and order a 12. I really love it but it is pretty thick but perfect for just now. The 10 was especially tight across the bust and upper arms but fairly generous everywhere else. So I will await it coming eagerly!
