Hello all Toasties , a new Toast thread for us to discuss clothes and life..

Here's to new beginnings and a more hopeful Spring when we can get out and wear our lovely things.

The bottle green garment dyed linen jumpsuit: definitely trueish to size on top, couldn't have sized down, but very generous on the bottom but no less flattering for this. I want to love it but not sure I do. Legs are to the heel but they don't stay rolled up so would need to stich it or get it taken up. I would like to wear it with birkenstocks which limits wearing it in high summer as it would be too warm.

Placed check cotton dress: generous in a 12 but not enough to size down I don't think. Again, might not suit high summer. Big but looks good when pulled in by the ties.

Just catching up, I forget how fast this thread moves at time! Love that linen tunic @Laska2Meryls it’s a beautiful colour on you. I’m on a no spend at the moment (boo!) as we are about to move house (hopefully) and the new house needs a LOT of work also my contract that earns me the most money ends this month
So I’m enjoying all the chat of my fellow toasties and living vicariously through you for my clothes

The linen dress arrived here before lunch. It is not for me. I was disappointed in the colour( ordered ink), it reminds me of my Lydia dress. The pockets are in the wrong place for me in this instance, just rather underwhelmed by it - probably mainly because of the colour which I though would be richer. I won’t be reordering .

That as my exact problem with the navy pull on linen trousers. The blue was very ordinary somehow. Had it been a deep, rich colour I’d have kept them, but they were just a bit disappointing somehow. Which is a shame as when I bought the grey last year I said that if they ever did a navy I’d be all over them.

I knew that I would love them !! 🤦. These are the XS and plenty big enough to accommodate my current 'corona tum' . ( Which hopefully wont be around for much longer)

@faustina, happy to take photos, I will upload later. Trying it on again made me like it more and I think I can make it work.

I'm definitely tempted to hassle toast for my referral discount and order it. One little question: how tall are you? I remember you said about the legs needing to be rolled up.

Mind you, I also thought of trying the black coffee linen dress now I've seen how nice it looks on Laska. Perhaps I should wait to see if I have a similarly big win on my premium bonds ...

Still making up my mind about the Kin denim balloon trousers which I picked up today - they fit really well but they're quite high waisted on me.

I agree @ToastCosILoveIt, you should keep the jumpsuit, it looks fab on you. I tried it but I am at least one size bigger on top than bottom so I couldn’t get it to work size wise. I do like the trousers on you @Laska2Meryls, maybe they could be my green linen purchase for summer instead.
Decided to send back the Piu jacket after the feedback. Too much faff with the ties, that and the colour would mean it wouldn’t be the every day jacket I need. It was a reluctant return though as it was so comfy.

@faustina, than you, I am 5ft, 5. The legs don't need taking up but I like the idea of them being cropped with DMs or Blundstones now and then Birkenstock Arizona's or Milanos when it's warmer.

Ive ordered the Annie ecru trousers in a 12 and the delave tiered linen dress in a small from JL as had vouchers

Also the indigo gansey in a small and the flat front denim culottes in ash green as I think they will be more useful than the panelled skirt.
Got a 15% friends offer but I cant really share as it would have my name on it

I miss the chat and the fashion but I kept spending when I was on the threads with you so I had to give up your company for a bit! Trying to practise spending mindfully now even in the face of temptation so I’m going to dip my toes in and let’s see how it goes...

Speaking of mindful spending, I just bought some bits and pieces from Jigsaw. Missed out on a lovely pair of flats (went out of stock whilst in my basket) which I’m 😭😭😭😡😡😡 about as they would have been perfect for summer!

@ScottishMouse if I may jump right in I think the jacket looks fantastic on you! I’ve just bought a (broadly) quite similar one from Jigsaw and 🤞 that I’m happy with it as it would fill a definite hole in my wardrobe!

@Laska2Meryls you were just retiring when last I was on the threads (I think, but I do have a horrendously bad memory so now I’m not sure...🤔), I hope you’re enjoying having more time to yourself!🌷

Hi Nink, I remember you Friday m the hushistas 😊. Now that I’ve settled into my new-to-me body after all that weight loss I buy much less, but I do love a bit of clothes chat and trying on. Having said that, have just received a Cos order today.

I’m buying less these days too and keeping a fairly strictly curated capsule wardrobe. But it’s an ongoing struggle because if I had the money and space I’d have a proper fashion collector’s paradise of a rambling manor house so I really would happily buy a new item every day and never get bored of it...
