Hello all Toasties , a new Toast thread for us to discuss clothes and life..

Here's to new beginnings and a more hopeful Spring when we can get out and wear our lovely things.

@ToastCosILoveIt I'll link to them when I get home - they're the only ones they have by kin though ( in khaki). They have them in black too? I ordered a size 8

Oh I had looked longingly at that jacket too @ScottishMouse - the colours are very...peaceful..!

Definitely needs to be worn tied though I think as you say which definitely makes it less versatile. IMO this will not be a workhorse of an item and you’ll need to find another jacket as well that can be worn all the time. Expensive times...😊

@fautina, thank you, mixed you up with Saurus I think. i find Kin trousers much truer to size and your ordering reflects that too.

@ScottishMouse, agree that jacket looks good fastened which limits its versitility. I bought the gold coloured canvas short jacket in the xmas sale: it could almost be worn indoors with a teeshirt. It's not something i would normally wear so it will be interesting to see if it proves value for money when the weather warms up. I have the Annie side button jeans which I think it will look good with.

There was a Toast dress in the Sunday Times Style magazine this Sunday which isn't yet on the website. I expect a swath of summer stock will land fairly soon on the website.

John Lewis has more of the current Toast stuff in.. I have ordered the linen tunic dress in the olive which has been oos on Toast for a while .. really looking forward to getting it ....

Has anyone still got Kindred delivery working? I had up till now but last night I ordered ( striped linen trousers) and I no longer had Kindred free delivery.. but was offeredyearly Toastt Post pass option at 15 .. ( which I took)

@Laska2Meryls, I checked my Toast account last night on this and mine lasts until July 2021. I paid £7 for next day delivery however as it is a big order and I want to try and return things quickly.

Mine was working when I ordered the linen dress at the weekend. I presume more will pop up on Toast (the dress) as John Lewis has got stock. JL no blooming use to me.

@ToastCosILoveIt - re the Kin barrel leg khakis. They are still quite generous sizing - I've tried them on and I think they'll be going back because the colour is much darker than I wanted. I'll try them again tomorrow when it's a bit lighter. Nice shape though, and I like the little back buckle! I've ordered the kin barrel jeans because the denim looks really nice. Thanks for taking the time to show me them @faustina, they look lovely on you. I have bought a lot in recent months, including trousers and jeans from Toast so will hold off on any more purchases. My Toast delivery arrived today: will feed back thoughts shortly.

The garment dyed linen tunic dress arrived today: black coffee in small and medium and ink blue in medium. They all fit me (standard size 12 but busty) and I have compared length and width and there is almost no variation. I expect I am keeping the small in coffee and the medium in ink. There was an inch difference in length but width wise almost nothing.

@Laska2Meryls , it looks great on you, I have the olive one arriving from JL tomorrow in both sizes but will have to see if the colour suits me. I see it as a dress to wear for a walk or shopping or a laidback BBQ. It's very easy to wear.

toast, is the black coffee actually black or is it brown? Have spent too long considering the colour of my coffee today!

Thanks for the dress love., Its a M, and is perfect for my shoulders which as an 'inverted triangle' shape are always a problem..but its just right on the bust and loose further down..

I think Cherries that a S will be fine for you .. As always I need a M top and a S bottom!! (sigh) .. It has pockets too!! Yay! I am 5'6 btw,

I think its more spring/summer weight linen, so needs a cardi to wear now.. and it does have a wide boat neck, which tbh is the only thing that I wish were different. I'd wear it now though with a vest top under and maybe a cashmere cardi, and tights and boots.. but it would look great with trainers or sandals too I reckon..

I have the striped linen trousers coming as well as the green k linen ones.. I cannot afford it all! ( may have to ebay)..
trousers are XS and i know that they will fit as I already have several similar Toast linen trousers.. ( See what I mean? Am a definite inverted triangle.. its so annoying when trying to buy dresses..... )

@ilovecherries, it is almost black, literally like coffee or dark chocolate. In artifical light it would look black, in sunlight it would look slightly less than black. As @Laska2Meryls says, quite thin linen so probably more summer than winter.

The Olin check poplin dress: ordered a 12, trueish to size on the top, generous on the bottom.I have the blue version from last summer and I think the fabric on this one is thinner. It is a beautiful pattern and I will keep it.
