Hello all Toasties , a new Toast thread for us to discuss clothes and life..

Here's to new beginnings and a more hopeful Spring when we can get out and wear our lovely things.

That tunic dress is lovely, isn’t it. I did swither about it, but I seem to have quite a lot of black and navy and the other colour isn’t really me. Still tempted though!

oh is that the one we didn't know how the sleeves would be? Grrr. Still no pics at all. I really like the black coffee colour too. Waiting for a referral discount to arrive - I might have to hassle them about it

@ilovecherries, the two darker colours were on my wish list, it looks really nice and some good reviews. I think it is quite long (from the reviews) so some tlakign about it swamping them.

The biscuit skirt arrived -fits beautifully so I am very pleased.
Its a lovely weight and I will wear this to death.

@Templetree - woohoo! It is a lovely weight isn't it. I ordered the matching jacket this morning on JL - picking up tomorrow. They only had it in a 12 but I thought for £55 it was worth a shot. I will stalk a size 10 just in case

I have already bought it but I was enjoying reading the reviews: up to 88 at the last count.

I just googled
" Toast A-Line pinafore" and it popped up.

How odd @Templetree, it won't come up when I search on the Toast website.

Well, the striped linen crops snd the checked culottes are going straight back, I just don’t love them enough for the money. I go medium and need them to get the waist over my bum but once on they drown me. I also got the navy linen trousers (bought the grey and rust ones last year and loved them), but the navy isn’t really navy and are just a bit meh for the price. I’m keeping the 10 (so not a 10!) in the A line pinafore.

ilovecherries was going to ask how you found the checked culottes 😂, the reviews are very mixed! It sounds like the pinafore is a winner that had great reviews on this thread & the toast website

Yes, the pull on ones, faustina. I thought the ones last year were lovely but the navy looks like it’s from next or M&S. Which is fine if the price matched! They are just very ordinary.

Well that linen dress with the sleeves which I was planning on buying once I felt it might be warm enough I have missed out on too, but after reading the latest review of the ink one I’ve taken a chance and ordered the xs , normally get a small in things sized that way. Ink was not the colour I was planning on buying mind you. Will report back.
Sorry about the culottes @ilovecherries. I have the winter version, they’re probably not the most flattering item I own, I actually like them under a dress. , I’ve worn them that way with my hush jersey dress and a black jersey dress I have.

Before I package them up, photos of culottes and striped linen crops. Have had to over expose them a bit do you can see, it’s very grey and dismal here.

It doesn’t come up when you click “Dresses” on the website but my iPhone remembers it, so just looked it up - all sizes are sold out.

Oh those aren’t the culottes I thought they were!

They will have had enough pre-orders t sell out the A line pinafores they are due in April ..
Cherries I really love those striped trousers on you! But they are too big for you .. definitely size down .. I may just order them myself

I cant help feeling miffed that I have to have the 12 though when all of you are saying its so huge but I am a Valkyrie it seems

Was these the culottes you thought I meant, count? I’m actually wondering if they might be better for me.

@ilovecherries the culottes are really nice but yes, agree that if you pay Toast prices then you need to feel as though they are justified.

Can I please ask your opinions? I am not a trouser wearer - shirt fat legs. But I have been looking at the Toast khaki jumpsuit on JL as it’s come in and out of stock and I finally took the plunge - £185 reduced to £55. But really not sure if I can pull this off - it’s the right size for sure but voluminous around stomach. Honest opinions v gratefully received please.

Not shirt fat legs, short fat legs 🙄. As I look at the pictures I posted think it’s most likely a no.

Tbh Saurus I dont think it works in the way you have styled it. I'd probably wear it with a slim short sleeve tee and flat sandals/ espadrilles.
That would balance out the volume more I think ..
