I’m a 32G as well, Toast and pretty much a 12 in most shops unless it’s an exaggerated oversize fit.

ilovecherries · 27/02/2021 16:08

You look great, apple

Laska2Meryls · 27/02/2021 16:19

@applecatchers36 - they look great together!

I picked up the biscuit workwear skirt from John Lewis today and can't decide whether or not to keep. Does anyone have it? do you find it useful? Will post pics tomorrow when I try on again

faustina · 27/02/2021 18:26

@Laska2Meryls - forgot to say - that shirt is really pretty!

applecatchers36 · 27/02/2021 18:56

Thanks ladies it's nice to be able to get out lighter clothes at last. Have been watching all the pinafores which look great btw. So good to have a new look that is so wearable and versatile.

ToastCosILoveIt · 28/02/2021 09:13

@faustina, I have the biscuit skirt, bought from JL a couple of months ago. I haven't worn it yet. It's not something i would normally go for but I envisage it in the summer with a nice (toast) teeshort and some birkenstocks.

@Laska2Meryls, @ilovecherries, thanks for the reassurance on the pinafore, might get it out today.

faustina · 28/02/2021 15:34

@ToastCosILoveIt - it's really comfortable but I'm not sure if it looks too big? Massive pockets which is always a plus! What do you think?

Think it looks good Faustina, it is that slightly over sized look and skirt is A Line but you look great in it. It works with the trainer's and tee.

ToastCosILoveIt · 28/02/2021 16:13

@faustina, really like that look on you, it doesn't look too big in the photo: how does it feel? Mine is a 12 adn fits with ample room but flattering over the tummy. Can't wait to wear it now after seeing yours! Great with one of Toast's slubby teeshirts: I have a lovely mid green one which will look great with it.

faustina · 28/02/2021 16:33

Thank you both! It is a bit big - you can comfortably pull it down quite a bit - the denim has a bit of stretch too which is nice. Yes I have lots of toast t-shirts waiting for their chance to be worn - somehow they don't really work under jumpers - perhaps because they have to hang properly?

Lovely!
What size is the skirt compared to your usual size @ faustina?
Im contemplating the ecru Annie Trousers with the Indigo Boat neck Gansey.
However I cant really be bothered to go and get my bank cards out Confused
Maybe because I have no idea when I will be wearing them?
Whats happening to me ?Grin

Templetree · 28/02/2021 19:16

Ooops @faustina

faustina · 28/02/2021 19:32

@Templetree - it's an 8. Most of my Toast bottoms are a 6 but the ones with buttons at the waist have all been really tiny at that last button - plenty of room to move the button but I just sent back - including a pair of Annie cords last autumn - BUT there was no stretch in the cords. In other brands I'm a 6/8 - gap 25 eg. If the Annie ecru has some stretch, it should be less uncomfortable in your regular size (and equally you can always move the button!)

It's very hard to think of a time when it's going to be worn!

ToastCosILoveIt · 28/02/2021 19:36

@Templetree, i have a 12 in this skirt and some 12 Toast trousers. My view is that the 12 in the skirt is more generous than the 12 Toast trousers.

I have the Annie denim wide leg jeans in a 12 and they are definitely snug on the waist albiet when you pull them uo to the actual waist and not not the upper hip, they feel better.

ToastCosILoveIt · 28/02/2021 19:38

definitely agree that in the side button jeans/trousers, there is room to move the button. In the Annies you can move the top button by an inch and it all still looks fine in terms of alignment.

Templetree · 28/02/2021 19:40

Thanks both of you!
Ive got the denim Annies in a 12 and reading the reviews the ecru have a similar fit but ease a bit on wearing.
I like that skirt and was wondering how it came up size wise.
I got a the black denim skirt in a 12 and it was like wearing a binbag so swapped for a 10 .
Might keep an eye out for a 10 and chance it if one pops up.

faustina · 01/03/2021 19:39

@templetree - if you want to know about the gansey sizing, it comes up quite big. I sent it back in the end because it was quite heavy, but being cotton, I wasn't sure when it would be useful.

Im a size 12
Was thinking of a medium ?
Again annoying that there are no measurements on the website.
I love a cotton sweater but then Im cold all year round so am always covered.

faustina · 02/03/2021 16:09

@Templetree - just came on to say there's a 12 in the skirt on JL now, and realised you'd replied about the gansey - yes, I found the small quite big - sometimes Toast knitwear can be a bit too fitted for my liking but this wasn't. I'm sure a medium would work, perhaps even a small?

Templetree · 02/03/2021 16:34

@faustina
Thanks so much
Woohoo!
Bargain Grin

Templetree · 02/03/2021 18:04

Does anyone have the Indigo Gansey and could please give me the pit to pit measurement of either the small or medium?
Im dithering !

ScottishMouse · 03/03/2021 14:52

@Templetree I don’t have it, but I have been able to get measurements in the past from Toast by contacting them through their online chat. Worth a try perhaps.

ilovecherries · 03/03/2021 16:18

I’ve treated myself to the check linen culottes and the striped linen crops. Bizarrely I only ordered them as my cc said it would cancel my card next month as I hadn’t used it for over a year. Yeah, well, covid. Anyway, having had enormous difficulty getting my mum a credit card after dad died because she had no credit history of her own, always having had a second card on dad’s account, I decided keeping a cc of my own was vital, so used it straight away 🙄. I’m hoping they will be useful if we ever actually get away in our caravan this year.

ToastCosILoveIt · 04/03/2021 11:44

I see the Garment Dyed Linen Tunic dress is already sold out in small in the colours black coffee and ink blue. I was wondering whether to size down to a small in one of those colours but that chance has gone now (unless they get more stock in).
