AARRGHH! Discontinued favourites 😡

I’m SO annoyed! Just went to the Lish website to reorder my Queen Bee hair stuff and found it’s gone. Replaced by a cream which just won’t be right for me - it’s the addition of beeswax that stops my hair from fluffing up and releasing all moisture.

So I have two questions. What favourites of yours have been discontinued and what did you replace it with? And can you recommend anything to replace Queen Bee? 😭 I guess technically that’s three questions but still....

I am also annoyed that I bought a lipstick from Mac (it was a limited edition to be fair) which was discontinued with no equivalent replacement. It was perfect.

Miss Balmain perfume. I'm not a cosmetics person but I loved that and I've never found anything similar.

Kiehl's Drawing Paste was brilliant stuff. I've never tried a replacement though.

Nina Ricci Les Belles de Ricci Delices d'Epices perfume. Nothing can ever replace that, it was beautiful.

Loulou Blue was lovely too, I wonder if there's a Perfume Parlour dupe.

Pantene clarifying shampoo - nothing else gives me that squeaky clean!

Palmolive coconut shower gel with the purple lid. They've changed the fragrance now it has a green lid and it's horrible! I managed to bulk buy the old ones but now I've run out

Jean Paul Gaultier fragile. I wore it back in the early naughties. Can't believe it was discontinued.
And Gucci's envy too.

Oh and Toni and guy did an amazing blue shampoo for blondes...not purple but blue and it was amazing

I have just found out Lush have discontinued my fav oh so Juicy shampoo.
This was so amazing I loved it.

Aussie dual personality conditioning milk/ I’ve not been able to find anything else to tame my frizzy waves without looking greasy...

Another thing I miss is Aveda Black Malva shampoo. The smell! The cherriest cherry thing that ever cherried! I asked the Aveda salon about it and apparently they were having trouble sourcing the ingredients for it (they had become too expensive). They said it could come back if that changes. Please god!!!

It's always fragrance for me! I adored Molton Brown's Vanilla and Violet and Jo Malone Rosewater and Vanilla. Then, kapow! Discontinued!

to all those who are mourning old Jo Malone perfumes - these aren't sold in the shops but you can still buy them. if you go into Jo Malone shops they will take orders for them. At least, this was the situation when I went into a jo Malone shop earlier this year to ask about the Vanilla and Anise perfume.

The benefit Hello flawless oxygen foundation or whatever it was called. It was great and the new range of foundations they’ve replaced it with is absolutely crap for ‘peachy toned skin’. Just makes me look yellow.
Toni and guy did an amazing colour saver shampoo in the early 2000s that made hair smell amazing and was fab at preserving red colour.

Boots natural collection used to do a range of body stuff, one fragrance was Sunflowers another was Daisy Chain. The Daisy Chain body cream was in a big tub and white and yellow swirls of cream inside.

Sunsilk De Perfum shampoo in the late 80s. Me and my swishy scented hair at school....

Benefit are the absolute worst at discontinuing their best products! I loved Oh La Lift and it's gone .. only thing which made me look semi normal again during long work days .. can't find anything as good

I came on here just to say Benefit Oh La Lift! I've never found anything like it - put on underneath under eye concealer and it made such a difference. I've got a small amount left in an old tube which I'm hoarding for when I get married next year. Also their Powderflage I think it was called. Oh La Lift followed by under eye concealer and then set with Powderflage (a very fine, pinky, illuminating but not sparkly) powder was the best combination for lightening and brightening under eyes and making dark circles disappear. Why oh why do they do this?!

And more recently, Beauty Pie Double Phase cleanser, just gorgeous gentle creamy cleanser that smelled lovely.

Just found out that Estée Lauder have discontinued their nude waterfresh foundation. I still miss Bobbi Brown moisturising balm and bourjois mascara.

Marc Jacobs briefly did a Gardenia perfume. It was amazing and I haven’t found anything like it.

So many things I still mourn for...

Clinique Wrappings - the perfect winter perfume. Just gorgeous and so different from anything else on the market. You used to be able to get it as a special edition at airports and Christmas for a while but completely gone now.
Chloe Narcisse - a proper full-on big, floral, sensual scent that was not for wimps. Again, nothing comes close. I used to get complimented all the time by random strangers when I wore this.
Lancome Aromatonic - green, fresh, zingy.
Revlon matte lipsticks - Really Red and In the Red. The first a proper pillar box, the latter the best blue red. Perfect texture, long lasting but not drying. Nothing comes close.
The Body Shop orange creme bath oil - utterly divine.

You can still get Wrappings at Clinique online stores, but it depends on the country. There's some on eBay as well.

Vita Liberata self tanning bronzing minerals. I've used them for years and can't find the loose powder anywhere! Looking for an alternative.

I miss aveda's madder root shampoo for red hair, it was bloody amazing

Soap and glory changed their mother pucking lip plumper (or whatever it was called). It was much less tingly and therefore much less effective.
