Thanks @justilou1! I really need to get a K-beauty haul in but right now I am drowning in stuff I have got from Boots and Superdrug so it will need to wait a while - I am basking in the positive expectation :)

ooooo I wonder what the message was that got deleted...

I have some empties to report:
-OGX apple cider vinegar shampoo and conditioner: ok but not amazeballs... the quest continues...
-Flexitol heel balm: this is definitely HG now but it got used up in record time... not sure if that is just how it is or that cos I am using daily I just got through it quicker than other foot creams I have had

  • Soft & Gentle anti-perspirant deodorant sheer rose & lavender: I really liked this - did the job and smelled just fine

-Whamisa organic flowers toner: LOVED this - felt so nourishing and hydrating... only not so keen on the kombucha type smell
  • Wunder2 72HR mascara: this came from the Amazon advent... I was not a fan - a right bugger to get off and did nothing amazing to my lashes
  • Malin + Goetz vitamin b5 body moisturiser: nice fresh smell, sinks in well but just would not come out of the bottle (30ml small size) Angry had to use a knife to get it out!!!!!

Been a while since I posted due to my attempt to use up full size products first, but just wanted to weigh in on the GWP point. I love a GWP - feels like an excuse to treat myself to reach the minimum spend, and then justify it because of the additional products. But, at least 1/3 of the products end up unused in my stash! I need to work through a huge number of face masks and hair products (bearing in mind I wash my hair and tie it back wet, so any heat activated products are a waste of time!).

Anyway, my task once the schools go back and I can get on with house stuff is to admit defeat and just stick some of this stuff on eBay. Not because I want to make money, but just to justify getting rid of it without throwing it away.

And then I can get a new GWP guilt-free!

I mix it up a bit @BookShark I have full sizes on the go but use up samples and smaller sizes as well. Makes it less demoralising.

A few more empties to report:

  • Superdrug Naturally Radiant refreshing complete cleanser: this was a foam... did not really feel like it is was cleansing much - ok on my KP arms
  • Malin + Goetz peppermint shampoo: nice consistency but way too strong a smell... my eyes did not like!
  • Malin + Goetz cilantro hair conditioner: meh

Have to say im really impressed with the Revolution Plex 3 so far! Even when i use Olaplex 3, i leave it on for more than 15 minutes as i first found it didnt do much. Left it on for around 2 hours, done the usual hair wash after and blow dry. My hair looks really glossy and healthy, no fly aways or looking frizzy. Its got the hair-dresser type smell, and its lingering on my hair. Because this is cheaper, ill use it more often which will probably benefit my hair more.. i think ill repurchase for sure! For £10 its a winner for me!

Oooooo! @Caggie09 that is very interesting! Do you think it would be too heavy for oily hair?

I think it was around this time last year that I read one of these threads and now love skincare. However it mostly doesn't love me. My skin is so reactive that I've become a reluctant skin cate hoarder of 'calming' & dull skincare that I use for a few weeks and then end up with a burning face. It's so frustrating. I thought I'd found perfection with A.Florence skincare but after 6 weeks I can't even use the barrier repair cream :(

@Experiment627, i think it would be fine for oily hair. I never put the product to my roots though, as i get greasy hair quickly anyway!

@endlesscraziness this is so sad... I wonder if there is an ingredient in common that your skin does not tolerate? Have you tried CBD oil products - supposed to soothe and calm skin down? What have you tried so far that has caused a reaction?

Thanks @Caggie09 !!! Hopefully by the time I go in for my next haul it will be back in stock!

@Experiment627

I'm definitely allergic to mugwort as it's a pollen allergy I have but the Cicaplast Dr Jart range burned my skin. I've had a lot of issues with allergies that are undiagnosed recently and I suspect there's stuff I'm allergic to

So far I've tried: REN Evercalm serum, Facetheory Centrasoothe, A.Florence super serum and Rich Barrier repair cream (I thought I'd cracked it with these, but 6 weeks later it burned), REN overnight balm now seems to irritate, LRP Toleraine didn't burn but felt uncomfortable, eye creams didn't used to irritate but I have Zelens- now burns, Strivectin now burns as does Pestle and Mortar, Pixi Rose range, most SPFs apart from Eucerin Gel Cream and all vit c/acids. There's probably many more that I can't remember. I give them away at work.

Before my skin got really angry it used to tolerate Niacinamide x 2 a day and Facetheory Azaelic and Regenacalm on alternate nights but is currently too reactive.

Whilst I'm trying to calm it I'm just using a calming cleansing oil from Revolution (One of my first cleansers but I always go back to it when my skin is irritated), ultra bland cleanser from lush, JSS performance cream,A.Florence milky hydrating toner and spf. Occasionally I'll add in the Barrier Repair oil from A.Florence too.

I've ordered Skinceuticals Phyto Corrective Gel to try and Dermalogica barrier repair cream out of desperation.

used up two teeth whitening strips - re my post of feeling demoralised with full size things, i'm counting these.

these are the boots expert whitening strips. i rate them, takes 15 minutes for them to dissolve, but teeth are noticeably brighter - i'm about half way through the whole pack...

@endlesscraziness I really feel for you!
I was going to suggest Lush's Ultrabland so I am not surprised that is on your "ok" list. Have you tried The Body Shop Almond milk with oats mask - I find this to really soothe my skin?
Also you might want to try a CBD oil - I am using the Superdrug Me+ CBD oil at the mo and it feels nourishing and calming.

Finally given up on an old Autograph lipstick which is now a mere nub - and I no longer like the colour or texture ( too shiny). It's so old, no idea when I got it. Much more into balms than lipstick these days.

@Experiment627 thank you, I will give that a go. I had been looking at the Aurelia one but it's ££££ so Superdrug would be a better option. I haven't tried anything Bodyshop in forever so I'll look at the mask

Few empties.
Liked the rose wash but it wouldn’t be effective at removing make up - ok fur the morning.
Also finished a Davines hair mask which was only ok.
Interested in the revolution plex - can you use on any hair colour?

@Pomegranatespompom, the Revolution plex, is suitable for any hair!

Only 2 empties this time around!

Kopari coconut deodorant. Probably one of the first natural ones ive used that dont leave me reeking to high heaven! I dont think ill ever swap from Mitchum tbh, but it did do its job!

Ouai Byredo dry shampoo. Coughing in public atm is one thing atm without getting bad looks, but itching your head like a child infested with nits is another. A big NO. If i want a high end dry shampoo, ill go with IGK. It done me around 2 days before washing my hair, but the itchy head was quite annoying!

Finished a Lush Snow Fairy body spray, I like the sickly sweet smell but it didn't last long on the skin and the spray was fierce - not what you want on a winter morning!

Was doing well on the "using up" front but just bought a pile of No7 skincare including their new vitamin c serum, they have so many offers on at the moment that it all worked out really cheaply, £30 for 6 items including two serums and a moisturiser!

In my defence this one had also been open forever but decided to use up as looked and smelled fine. 200ml full-size body shop body butter in one of favourite scents frosted plum. Gone!!!! Only 2842451345754 to go sigh!!!!
