While I’m at it, this is my very palette ever... it’s the Nars Summer Lights Face & Eye Palette. I’ve hit pan on a couple of these. I’ve had it for about two years and I wear them daily. (And nightly). They are gorgeous. The new one is similar, but more versatile, I think.

i know...i saw the limited edition-ness of it.

i'm ignoring it. for now.

The urban decay naked heat was another I was looking at, but I'm not sure I would use half the colours.

@TheChosenTwo I’m pretty sure the only solution in your case would be dermal fillers. Or clever concealing with salmon-coloured correctors 😉

@LivingDeadGirlUK would you consider Viseart Warm EDIT Eyeshadow Palette? I haven’t tried it myself but I believe all of the Viseart eyeshadows are of very high quality.

Yes @CherryMargo - that’s how to get rid of dark circles!! Not creams and serums
I won’t have flllers though, no way, I really don’t care about my dark circles, I just know they’re there but I’m not the one who has to look at them

• bodyshop winter jasmin scrub - 100ml - was a freebee from dsis don't like it much.
• clarins day moisturiser (in the pink jar) - staple for me.
• clarins mascara - travel size one this came in the advent calendar. i did not like it. its the wonder perfect 4d effect one. did nothing for my lashes. will not repurchase.

Oooh, that’s pretty too, @CherryMargo! I would love to try viseart, but I’d start with one of the really teeny ones. I’d have to choose which of my kids to sell, first. (Probably not very difficult today, tbh. Very hormonal 14y/o DD yanking my chain.)

just had a quick look on Cult Beauty at the viseart ones. the dark edit one is beautiful. i'm going to say they're not horrifically priced (except maybe the matte finish ones...) but i cannot justify another one without as @justilou1said selling a child, or using up all my other ones first.

ordered some trays for my dresser yesterday to put the eyeshadow palettes in. if i can see them its more likely that i'll use them (and will regain space in the drawer where they're currently languishing except for the naked palette which i'm half way through).

todays eyeshadow is a lawny goody shimmery one from the naked palette.

All my goodies from Cult arrived today. Will be having a sort out and organise of my skincare drawers today. (Trying to squueze it all in!)

Empties:

-Herbivore facial oil sample sachet.

• Kate Somerville delikate cleanser sachet. Even though it was just a tiny sample, i really liked it. My skin needed a little soothing and it felt really pleasent on my face. No strong frangrance and my face is soft. Dont need any cleansers atm, but would possibly RP!

• Cowshed invigorating shower gel mini. A nice uplifting scent, the whole shower was filled with the scent.

• Being By Sanctuary Salted Caramel body lotion. Was a bargain from Boots about 2 years ago! I liked it, but want to move onto more fresh and fruity scents.

• Garnier Afterdun sheet mask. I ended up burning my cheeks off with Sunday Riley Saturn! I left it on overnight and my face peeled, but it did help with my spots! Used this to help calm it down, and help with the flakiness! Lesson learnt!

@justilou1 @ememem84 I myself have to admire the Viseart palettes from afar since I already have many eyeshadows in my stash. And the lockdown does not help. Since March 2020 I’ve been wearing makeup once a week, if that 😔

I think i have 9 palettes. which doesn't sound like a lot. but when ive not been using them and still buying more over the years its loads. i remember the days before i started lusting after palettes i used to have one eyeshadow single on the go and one in a bag for spares. that was it. minimalist. but no fun really. haha!

i had never even looked at cult beauty until i googled the viseart palettes.

It seems like quite a few UK online retailers (BeautyBay, feelunique, lookfantastic) stock Viseart, but the available range differs from store to store.

I definitely have more than 9 palettes in total , as well as a number of single colours, eyeshadow pencils etc. I do a lot of video calls for work, so have been wearing eye make up on a daily basis. There are about 4 I use quite regularly. Today is sparkly purplish shades from a CT palette that would possibly be OTT for a day in the office, but works well for online.

But that is no excuse to buy more, so far I have managing to resist all the lovely palettes linked above, as I really don’t need any more!

Am not looking at lookfantastic. Absolutely not.

Clinique night cream done.

Finished an old Seche Vite that I found in a cupboard, by pouring the sticky remains into another bottle. Great stuff for drying polish quickly.

Finished a mini Fresh soy face cleanser. Good cleanser but not keen on the smell. Wouldn't purchase it.

Finished:
a beauty pie plantastic micropeeling super drops, fine, wouldn’t buy again and glad to get it gone as I’ve had it for a year.
Lush sleepy shower gel, love this and have another big one in my cupboard.
CT lipstick (feels like such an achievement to finish a makeup item!) in Walk of Shame, lovely, probably my favourite colour of the CT lipsticks and such an easy colour to wear for me. Would repurchase but I have a drawer full of lipsticks that I want to get more use of so I won’t for now.

I'm going to be good and not buy a new pallet, as I've found a .FIND quad that I received in the amazon advent calendar which I had forgotten I had buried in all my makeup .

I've finished a clerasil morning burst cleanser, never again it was like putting paint stripper on my face, I only used it up because I don't like waste and smothered myself with night cream (my next empty) after.

Lacuna reviterlisting night cream, I like this and would repurchase but I have a superdrug Vit E one to use next.

Oh, another empty, morphe continuous setting mist! I will rebuy this when I’ve got through the other setting sprays in my drawer, it’s really nice and fine, sprays evenly and kind of helps the makeup to melt into each other if that makes any kind of sense!

Bouclème Curls Redefined Intensive Moisture Treatment (50 ml) which I received as part of a feelunique’s Black Friday GWP in November 2018.

I am not sure whether the product had already expired before I opened it in December 2020, or if I’m just not a huge fan of natural lavender but I could barely tolerate its scent, and had to mask it under a bunch of styling products. As per instructions, I used this hair treatment twice a month but it took at least three washes after each use to fully get rid of its scent 🚿

The mask is designed for curly hair, and there are three ways of using it – as a pre-wash treatment, a wash-off treatment and a leave-on treatment. My curls are not too big or tight, maybe that’s why the mask ended up being too heavy/rich for me. For reference, during the lockdown I’ve ‘trained’ 💪 my hair to look good for up to five days without a wash, and up to eight days if I co-wash in between. Even though I used the Bouclème mask as a wash-off treatment, my hair would become limp and greasy in two days.

A total number of products left in the hair mask/treatment category: 4 sachets, 2 deluxe samples and 2 full-size products.

Agree with you about the Boucleme Moisture Treatment. If I use it the day before I go in to work I get comments on what the smell is!

All this palette chat!!!! God I love a palette! Sadly I have only got cheapy ones.... and so many. I will be in my 90s before I can justify buying another and that will only be if I wear full on eye make up every day until then!!!

That said I think I will not make myself use up every pan before I chuck.

I’m feeling like absolute shite today. So have done a full face. Even if I’m not leaving the house seems like a nice thing to do.

@ememem84 sorry to hear you are not feeling well. Hopefully the make up will have raised your spirits. I also did a fuller look than usual as I want to use stuff up!

@ememem84 I agree, sometimes it’s nice to make an effort ‘just because’.
I have another empty today, it’s the Allies of Skin vitamin C. Received a small one in my CB advent calendar and fell in love with it. I know some people said it was really sticky and it can be but I put it on and leave it 15 minutes before going in with moisturiser. I’m so sad that it’s used up that I’ve got one in my space nk basket, waiting for their next GWP. My skin is looking great at the moment, hope it doesn’t take too long!
